It All Begins With A Choice

Narrator’s POV

Minyoung clutched to her bag and walked to the clothing store where Lay and Junhee were. She saw the two looking at some clothes together, Minyoung was about to call them but then she stopped.

There was an actual sincere smile on her gege’s face as he spoke with Junhee. Minyoung smiled to herself.

“Oh my.” She mused. Usually, when she would go out shopping with Lay, he would joke around and not take her seriously, but now he was actually helping Junhee with everything. Even holding some of their purchases.

“Oh, Minyoung-ah.” Junhee turned to her. Minyoung wiped the smile off her face.

“You guys done already?”

“Yeah, not that you were any help.” Lay made a face. Minyoung chuckled.

“Your playboy gege was really kind, he has great style too.” Junhee smiled at her.

“Of course.” Minyoung said wryly.

“We’re having lunch together, I agreed to meet Tao ge at the restaurant, did you call Kris ge and Lulu?”

“I told them earlier, Luhan ge’s in a meeting.” Lay replied.

Junhee’s POV

We walked in the restaurant and found Tao and Kris waiting for us.

“Lulu ge?” Minyoung asked.

“He said he’s already on his~”

“Oh, Minyoung-ssi!” A man walked to us. Minyoung blinked at him.

“Uh…who are you?” She asked. Kris was looking at her.

“We met at school, we had Economics together, and you’re here to eat?”

“Obviously.” I heard Tao grumble.

“Yes, I’m here with my~”

“Would you like to join us? My friends~”

“No. She’s eating with us. Minyoung, sit down.” Kris interjected.

I saw the other guy look at Tao and Kris then he stepped away. Lay chuckled.

“They are the Jiang household PR team.” He nodded at me.

“That was rude, ge.” Minyoung said. Kris rolled his eyes at her.

“Did you buy the things you needed?” Kris asked.

“Well, not that I really needed but, grandfather just…”

“I understand.” He nodded.

“Agung can be like that, for years he blamed himself this is his way of….relieving all the stress her had.” Minyoung nodded.

“He blames himself?” I asked.

“You…do know why…your mom left, right?” Minyoung asked. I nodded.

Our food arrived, I saw Tao immediately fork out the first dish.

“Abeoji said grandfather didn’t like him, but it’s not his fault that I ended up with my aunt. It’s a blessing to me actually.”

She nodded.

“Well…agung is like that. Just spend more time with him. It makes him happy.”

“Oh, right, your graduation’s next week right?”

Minyoung nodded as Kris placed a piece of meat on her plate.

“Do you have any plans?”

“I talked to L a few days ago, we made a few arrangements.” She nodded.

“Who’s L?”

“My bestfriend.”

Narrator’s POV

“This is the company, unnie.” Minyoung said as they stepped in the building.

“I cant show you around here, it’s not my forte.” She chuckled.

“It’s okay, I can walk around myse~”

“I’m here. I’ll show you around, young miss.” Luhan walked to them.

“I’m sorry I didn’t get to join you earlier, mei. I was really busy.”

“It’s okay ge, just show unnie around. I still have to go to school. Bye.”

Luhan chuckled and patted her cheek before she left.

“I find it cute.” Junhee said as they walked to the elevator.

“What?”

“It’s cute how she….puts so much trust in you guys, like telling you where she’ll go, asking for you guys opinions and..it’s….nice to see that.”

Luhan nodded.

“Minyoung grew up with us, and her being the youngest, we tend to…baby her too.”

“I see.”

They finally arrived at the floor.

“Luhan~”

“Sir, you have a guest.”  His secretary walked to them.

Junhee’s eyes widened as she saw a girl clad in a short dress waiting inside Luhan’s office.

“Luhan oppa!” She squealed. Luhan looked confused. She stood up and walked to Luhan.

“Haebin-ah, why are you here?”

“Is that all you can say to me? We haven’t seen each other for…almost a month!”

“You know what,,, I should go.” Junhee turned for the door.

“No! Wait.” Luhan pulled her back.

“Oppa, who is she?” The girl looked at Junhee with distaste.

“She’s someone of high priority, so let’s talk later.”

“Girlfriend?” Junhee asked as they walked around the different department offices.

“No, just…someone.” Luhan nodded. Junhee chuckled.

“Then, an admirer?”

Luhan rolled his eyes at her.

“Think what you want to, young miss.”
