------Jooli-----

After we got our pictures, the two of us walked out of the restaurant. I was walking behind Jaejoong with the picture of us in my hand. He had one too, but I that he had tucked it into his pocket on the way out of the restaurant. I looked at the picture and saw that Jaejoong’s smile was so normal and comfortable. The surprising thing was that my smile also looked normal and comfortable. It did feel kind of good to be near Jaejoong so close.  I was able to smell his cologne. It was Calvin Klein’s ‘One’, one of my most favourite cologne that Calvin Klein had.

“Stop looking at that dumb picture and get in the car.” Jaejoong exclaimed. I looked up and saw that Jaejoong was already standing beside the car. I rushed to the other side and quickly got in.

“Why didn’t you deny when the waitress called us a couple?” I asked him once he got the car running.

“Was there a point? Those people won’t believe it even if we said we aren’t a couple.” He replied. He acted as if it wasn’t a big deal. Maybe it wasn’t a big deal to be having his hand on a girl’s shoulder, but to me, that kind of gesture felt like it should have been done by my boyfriend.

“Whatever.” I sighed and looked out the window after putting the picture into my clutch.

“Plus, I’m pretty sure you liked it.” He chuckled and glanced at me.

“What?! I did not!” I shouted and turned to him.

“You were totally immersed in the picture. I saw you constantly staring at the picture.” He retorted and laughed some more. He was sure having fun at making fun of me.

“Was not! Plus, you’re the one who forced me into taking the picture with you. I did not want to act as your girlfriend.” I replied and turned back to the window.

“You know what? You do look pretty cute when you’re kind of mad.” He laughed.

“Shut up panda.” I replied and tried to sleep so I wouldn’t have to talk with Jaejoong anymore. I could hear him chuckle once more.

------Jaejoong------

On the way back to the hotel, I couldn’t help but smile to myself secretly. Jooli was sleeping so she didn’t know that I was smiling. I didn’t understand why I was so happy to have been able to have dinner with Jooli, but I couldn’t stop looking at her during dinner. She was different from all the girls I had dated in the pass. For once, I didn’t care that she wasn’t skinny, wasn’t tall, didn’t look or act feminine, or ate a lot. Actually, I liked all those about her.

I didn’t want to be obvious and show or tell Jooli that I actually started to like her, so I just tried to and tried to make it not obvious that I liked her. Even though my mouth may say that I don’t like her in that way, but I knew that deep inside there was a spark that ignited.

------Jooli------

“Hey sleepy pig, we’re here.” A voice said as it nudged me. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around me. I was back at the hotel. I turned to look at Jaejoong who was just staring at me.

“Oh…” I mumbled as I stretched my arms above my head. I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car.

“Thanks for tonight.” I thanked him when he got out of the car.

“Anytime.” He replied.

“Umm… Then I’m going to go back up. I’ll see you around.” I waved at him before I left to go back to my room.

“See you.” He replied with a wave. I walked away as fast as I could because the more I stayed near Jaejoong, the more I shivered from his stare.

When I got back up to my room, I closed the door and just leaned on it. My heart was thumping so fast, I was afraid I would get a heart attack. The only time my heart thumped that fast was right after I finish running or doing some hardcore exercise. I sat down on my desk and took out the picture of Jaejoong and me. I took a black sharpie and on the bottom of the Polaroid picture, I wrote ‘Panda and Pig’ right under us and wrote the date.

“You stupid panda.” I mumbled to the picture and stuck it on the bulletin board I had above my desk. I just sat on the chair and looked at the picture. If I didn’t know better, I would have also thought we were a couple. Then I looked at the picture next the one I had put up. It was the picture of Yunho and me from the theme park. I took that picture down and smiled at it one more time before ripping it into two pieces.

“It’s time to give up.” I smiled before putting the two pieces into the garbage can.

After using the computer, taking a shower, and taking care of other small things, I finally got myself into my bed. I shut the lights off and just lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. A lot of things went through my head. There was Yunho, Victoria, and Jaejoong all in my head. I wondered how the following weeks would be like.

“Go to sleep Jooli.” I said to myself before turning to my side and tried to fall asleep, hoping I would stop thinking so much. After trying to calm myself down, I was able to finally shut my eyes and fall asleep.

For the next couple days, I had work every morning and didn’t get much time to do anything else. I did however saw Yunho and Victoria a couple times during breakfast hours. I had already contacted Yunho and Mark about the little birthday gathering at Club Toola. Mark said he was busy that night so he wasn’t going to be able to make it.

“Yeah, of course we’ll be there.” Yunho said when I coincidently saw Yunho down at the lobby before I went to work.

“Would Victoria also like to go?” I asked him. I didn’t officially meet Victoria yet, but whenever I saw her with Yunho, she looked like a really nice person.

“Of course I would like to come.” I voice came from behind Yunho. I looked and saw that it was Victoria. She was wearing a really pretty white, floral, summer dress paired with a pair of brown gladiator heels. When she stood next to Yunho, they were exactly like the David and Jina couple, a couple that everyone should be jealous of.

“Hi Victoria. My name is Jooli. Nice to meet you.” I officially introduced myself while bowing to her, since she was Korean. (A/N: Let’s pretend that Victoria of F(x) is Korean)

“I’ve heard a lot about you Jooli. It’s nice to meet you too and you don’t have to bow. Let’s be friends.” She smiled at me when I rose back to normal height. I was able to see that her skin was very clear and she wore very little makeup. I was sure she only had mascara on. Even with just mascara on, she still looked gorgeous.

“You’ve heard a lot about me?” I asked, confused. I never met her officially, so I didn’t understand how she knew about me.

“Yup! Yunho and Jaejoong mentioned about you before. Yunho says you’re a really nice and friendly person.” She replied with a smile.

“Oh, thanks.” I chuckled. I glad to hear that Yunho thought I was a nice person.

“No problem. It’s always nice to meet new people. Oh! And yes, both of us are definitely going to your birthday. I’m glad you invited me.” She exclaimed. She was bubbly, but not up to the point where she gets annoying like some people. I was starting to like her.

“Even if you didn’t invite us, we would still celebrate it with you. I’m your friend and friends are supposed to celebrate birthdays with each other.” Yunho added.

“Hey! I want to be friends with her too!” Victoria exclaimed. She walked to my side and then linked arms with me. I was kind of taken aback by her actions. I wasn’t used to people being so touchy.

“I’m happy to be able to have friends like you two.” I smiled at both of them.

“I think we should do a girl’s day one day. Just me and you.” Victoria smiled.

“That would be cool.” I laughed.

“Girls…” Yunho mumbled. Victoria and I just laughed.

“I actually have to get going now. I have to go work, but I’ll text you the time later on Yunho. Bye Yunho. Bye Victoria.” I said good-bye and left the lobby to go to work. Victoria was a very nice person. No wonder Yunho was in love with her. Not only was Victoria really pretty, but she was almost like an angel. Being friends with her wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

After working for the entire morning and part of the afternoon, I finally had a chance to relax by myself. I changed into something more comfortable, grabbed my beach towel, grabbed my book, and headed out the hotel with everything I need to go to the beach. I wanted to just relax on the sand and do some reading. Just as I was about to step out into the sun, someone called my name. I turned around to see who it was.

“Hey…” I greeted Jaejoong. It was kind of weird to see him by coincidence all the time. It’s like he just randomly appears out of nowhere. After the dinner a couple nights before, I haven’t seen him.

“Hey…” I greeted back. He was in a pair of blue swimming shorts, white t-shirt, and a pair of flip flops. Even in just normal clothing, Jaejoong was able to look like a model.

“Where are you going?” He asked me when he saw my big bag.

“I just got off of work, so I’m going to the beach. I didn’t want to be stuck in my room all day, so I decided to just come out and relax. Where are you going?” I asked him.

“Just walking around. I might as well just go with you then, since I have nothing else to do right now.” He replied.

“Wait. Did I say you can come with me?” I bickered.

“Too bad. Now let’s go!” He exclaimed and pulled my arm along with him. He was walking quite fast and I had to slow jog to keep up with him. He didn’t stop until he found a nice place on the beach beside a palm tree.

I just stood there, not doing anything.

“What are you doing? Aren’t you going to bring out your towel?” He asked.

“Why are you disturbing my relaxing time? Go get your own towel.” I frowned.

“I want to disturb your relaxing time and no, I’m not going to go back into the hotel and grab a towel. Now get your towel out so I can sit.” He exclaimed. I just sighed and did as I was told. There was no use in fighting with the stubborn jerk.

“Here.” I flung a white towel at him. I actually brought two towels because one was for lying on the beach and the other one was for using after going into the water.

“You have two towels?” He asked as he placed the towel on the ground. I did the same with my towel.

“I was going to use that towel after going into the water.” I replied as I took out my sunscreen and put it all over my body and face. I did not want to get burned in the sun. I did not want to get skin cancer. I also did not want to get any darker than I already was.

“Don’t mind if I do.” Jaejoong said as he grabbed the sunscreen after I was finished with it. I just stared at him with an annoyed face before reaching into my bag and pulling out my novel. I had my bikini under my clothing because I planned on taking off my t-shirt and shorts so I wouldn’t get a weird tan, but with Jaejoong beside me, I didn’t want to do that anymore. So, I just kept both pieces of clothing on and prayed I wouldn’t get a weird tan. Suddenly without saying anything, Jaejoong took his t-shirt off right in front of me. Fortunately he was facing the other side so he wasn’t able to see my surprised expression.

“Hey can you help me put some sunscreen on my back? I can’t reach it.” He asked me with a turn of his head.  I grabbed the bottle and squired some of it all over his back. I slowly spread the sunscreen and started to rub the liquid until it was evenly applied. As I was applying, I couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed. I had never applied sunscreen on a guy’s back before. His skin was so soft and smooth. It felt like a girl’s skin. After I finished applying the sunscreen I closed the cap and put it between the two towels. Then I went back to reading my novel. I flipped onto my stomach and tried to roll up my shorts and t-shirt as far as I possibly could without Jaejoong noticing. Too bad he did.

“You might as well just take off your shirt since you have a bathing suit underneath. You wouldn’t want to get a weird tan now, would you?” Jaejoong smirked.

“I don’t want to scare you away with my fat.” I mumbled back.

“Fine, I won’t look at you.” He laughed and turned his head away from me so he couldn’t see me. I took the chance to take off my t-shirt. I decided to just leave my shorts on. Since I didn’t actually have a wearable bikini, I borrowed one from Jina. It was black with a design of a white flower on the one side of the chest. It wasn’t very girly, which I liked. I quickly went back to the same position as before on my stomach before Jaejoong could see me. He must have heard me lay back down because he also went into the same position as I was.

“I take back what I said. You’re not fat. You’ve got abs.” Jaejoong spoke into his shirt. He had scrunched up his t-shirt and put it down as a pillow. His head was turned towards me, but his eyes were shut.

“I told you I wasn’t fat.” I mumbled back as I continued to read my book.

“Stop reading that stupid book.” He said and grabbed it away from me. Then he got up and started dashing for the water at a fast speed

“Hey! Give that back!” I exclaimed and got up to chase after him.

“Come get it if you want it back!” He shouted as he continued to run until he was almost in the water.

“Kim Jaejoong!” I shouted and picked up my speed. I finally caught up to him. He was smirking at me with my book in his hand.

“Come get it.” He waved the book at me. I slowly walked towards him, but unfortunately when I got close enough, he threw the book in a place on the sand where the water wouldn’t take it, and then he picked me up bridal style and ran into the water.

“Hey! Kim Jaejoong! What do you think you’re doing?! Don’t do what I think you’re going to do! You’re going to pay!” I shouted at the top of my lungs. I had a feeling he was going to throw me into the water. I constantly kicked my legs and wrapped my arms around his neck. I wasn’t afraid of water, but I didn’t want to be thrown into the water.

“Too bad.” He smirked and threw me into the water. I went into the water with a splash. I stood up and started to kick water at him. He then splashed me back. We were playing in the water like two seven year olds. Suddenly, when I took another step into the water, I accidently stepped on a broken shell and it cut me. I took a look at my foot and saw that it was bleeding, but it wasn’t a very deep cut. I started limping back to shore.

“What happened?” He asked me with a worried expression when I walked past him.

“A seashell cut me.” I replied and continued to walk back to the towel. Jaejoong picked me up again, bridal style, and carried me back to the towels. He carried me with such ease. He had no trouble at all. When he was walking back, I looked at his side profile and suddenly found him a lot hotter than before. He then went to the lifeguard area to get some first aid supplies. He put disinfecting alcohol to make the bacteria go away and then put a band aid on the cut. I liked that side of Jaejoong a lot more than the jerk side of him.

“I think you should just go back to the hotel.” He said and handed me my t-shirt. I slipped it on while he put the towels back inside my duffel bag. After he went back to grab my book and put away everything else, he helped me walk back to the hotel.

“Thanks.” I said when we reached the outside of my room.

“No problem.” He replied as I took out the keys to my room. He just stared at me for a bit.

“I guess I’ll see you around.” I said.

“Yeah, sure.” He replied and walked back to the elevator. I got back inside the room and lied down on my bed.

“What’s wrong with me?” I mumbled and touched my chest. My heart was beating so fast again.
