------Yunho------

“Mom, Dad, Victoria and I are going to go walk around for a bit. Will you two be okay going back up to your room?” I asked my parents once we had stepped out of the restaurant after we finished dinner. I was holding Victoria’s hand as we walked. It just felt right to hold her hand, even though we haven’t seen each other for such a long time.

“We’ll be alright on our own. You two go take your time.” My mom smiled at us. She sure was happy that Victoria was with me again.

“Alright then, I’ll see you tomorrow morning. Good-night mom and dad.” I waved good-bye to them as they walked away. After they were gone, I turned to Victoria, who was smiling at me like a doll.

 “You still have the same smile.” I whispered to her. I brought my free hand towards her face and touched her cheek.

“You’re just as handsome as I remembered, if not, even more handsome.” She replied. She kissed me on the cheek. I couldn’t help but just stare at her. I remembered the very first reason why I fell in love with her. Her eyes were big and round, just like a doll’s.

“You’re still the same.” I laughed and kissed her on the forehead.

“I’m not the only one. You still kiss me on the forehead when we’re out in public.” Victoria laughed. She was so cute.

“Well, I guess both of us haven’t changed much.” I laughed walked out of the hotel, hand in hand with Victoria. We walked towards the beach. When we were approaching the area, I noticed that there weren’t a lot of people, but I did notice that there were couples walking along the beach.

“These past five years, what have you been doing? I wasn’t able to get in contact with you at all.” I asked.

“I didn’t mean to leave you just like that. I didn’t know that my parents decided to move to Canada until the last minute. Before I was even able to tell you, my parents had already packed up and left with me for the plane to Canada. During the time when I was in Canada, I wasn’t able to get on my email. I’m not sure why, but it just wouldn’t let me go on and then I found out that I had lost your phone number. I had no way of contacting you at all.” She explained. Her voice was calm, but serious. We had taken off our shoes and were walking along the waterline. She sounded very apologetic and was very sorry for what she had done to me.

“I never blamed you Victoria. Even if you had left me, I still love you. I’m sure my feelings for you haven’t changed. As long as you’re back, I’ll be okay.” I whispered and hugged her tightly. I never wanted to let her go. I didn’t want her to suddenly disappear again. Losing her once was enough. I didn’t want to lose her a second time.

“Well, I want you to know that I will never leave you again. I’ll be by your side forever.” She snuggled closer to me. Even though it was a warm summer night, the warmth of her body was comfortable and relaxing.

“I hope you won’t ever leave me too.” I whispered and held her.

For the rest of the night, the two of us sat down on the soft sand and just talked about what happened to both of us in five years. Victoria told me that she had finally gotten her journalist degree at McGill University in Canada. My parents had connections all around the world, so finding where Victoria was located was not hard at all. My parents had called her and told her that I still missed her a lot. She said she also missed me a lot during the past five years.

I didn’t remember how long we were on the beach for, but we were able to just have a relaxing night with each other. We talked about many things and laughed at many things. It felt like old times. It really did feel like Victoria was still the same Victoria from five years ago. If I was going to marry her, I don’t think it would be bad at all.

“What?! So you were serving them the entire night? You must have gotten hurt pretty bad, seeing Yunho and his girlfriend being all lovey-dovey with each other. If I knew that would have happened, I wouldn’t have gotten you to take my shift. Sorry Jooli.” Jina said. The two of us were having lunch together at the same restaurant as before, the one where you could see the beach. I had told her about last night’s dinner.

“I don’t think I liked him as much as I thought. You know that heart-breaking feeling you’re supposed to get when you see someone you like being with someone else? I didn’t get that feeling. Yes, I did feel a bit upset, but it didn’t feel like it hurt me. And plus, she’s was his girlfriend from five years ago! He said he still loves her. No wonder we didn’t see him with any girl. He still loves the same one. Also, Victoria is really pretty! She looks like a doll.” I explained from my perspective point of view.

“Well, maybe now you can go for the other Kim brother. After all, he is single at the moment and he’s hot.” Jina winked at me.

“That lazy panda? No thanks. I’m not interested in him.” I waved my hands. There was no way I would like that Kim Jaejoong.

“Are you sure you don’t feel ANYTHING? You know, when I was younger, all the kids here had a way of showing their love. If a guy liked a girl, he would make fun of her and . That’s exactly like you and Jaejoong.” She laughed as she spoke.

“But as a Korean, we may not have the same way in expressing our love. I really don’t think he likes me and I do not like him. He’s a jerk.” I exclaimed.

“We’ll see what the future holds, but for now, it’s your birthday next week! What do you plan on doing? After all, you are turning 19. That’s a pretty big deal. Should we go to the club?” She got all excited. If I didn’t know, I would have thought that it was her birthday, not mine.

“I was thinking of going to that club called “Club Toola” in the hotel. I heard it was pretty good. You’ve been there already, right Jina?” I asked for her advice.

“Yeah, it’s pretty nice. It’s probably one of the best ones on the island. Also, if it’s your birthday, they give you a round of free drinks, a cake, and a gift.” She smiled.

“Sounds good! Then I guess its Club Toola for us then. But I don’t want to make it anything big. I just want a couple people.” I said.

“That’s okay. I’ll ask David and see if he can come. We can ask Mark later if he wants to go. What about the Kim brothers?” She asked.

“Well, I can ask Yunho and see if he wants to come. He can bring Victoria if she wants to come too. I don’t really want Jaejoong to come. Plus, I don’t think he cares that it’s my birthday.” I laughed. Even though I was mentioning Yunho and Victoria, I didn’t feel anything weird. I felt totally fine saying their names. I guess I didn’t like Yunho anymore.

“Wow, forgetting Yunho already?” Jina laughed.

“It’s okay. Maybe I’ll catch an even bigger fish on my birthday.” I winked at her and she burst out laughing.

 After finishing lunch, Jina and I decided to go tanning at the beach for a while and then do some surfing. I never had much time to do surfing back at home, so since I had time, I might as well just do some surfing. Jina had taught me how to surf the first summer I started working at Harmony Bay. I wasn’t the best surfer, but Jina said I had the skills. I was able to learn very quickly.

“Wow, it’s already been a year since I last touched a board. I think I’ve already forgotten how to surf.” I laughed as Jina and I walked down to the water after changing into surfing gear and renting a board from the surfing shack.

“Yeah right! You’re a genius when it comes to surfing. I’m sure you’re still as good as you were last year. Come, let’s stop the chatting and catch some waves! The weather’s great and there’s some awesome waves out there.” Jina exclaimed as she started to jog towards the water. I started jogging with her until we reached the water.

“The water feels great!” I exclaimed happily the moment my body touched the warm water. It was the first time I was in the water this summer and it felt great after swimming in the swimming pool filled with chlorine.  The two of us were sitting on our boards and just taking a good look at the area around us. We weren’t far from the sandy beach. We were able to see everything and everyone on the beach very clearly.

“Hey, look who it is.” Jina nudged me to look behind me. I turned around to see a very familiar person walking towards the water with a surfing board. Right beside that person was another person. Both of them were males with nicely built bodies. I knew that because they weren’t wearing regular surfing gear. They were wearing only board shorts and they weren’t wearing anything on top. I couldn’t help but stare at the first guy’s body. His skin was pale and he had the perfect body with nice, chiseled abs.

“Looks like your lazy panda is actually a beast.” Jina laughed. She was right. Kim Jaejoong was no lazy panda. He was a beast. Even though he did have a hot body, he was still a jerk at heart.

“What is he doing here?” I asked with disgust. I didn’t want him around and I definitely didn’t want him to see me in a wet suit.

“Well, it looks like he’s going surfing. Just like you and me.” Jina pointed out the obvious.

“I know that, but why does he always appear around me?” I said. My eyes were focused on him as Jaejoong and his friend got closer to the water.

“Maybe you guys are destined to be together. It’s fate Jooli.” Jina laughed. Jina laughed a bit too loud and she actually got Jaejoong and his friend’s attention. Jaejoong turned to look at us and when he had spotted me, he slowly got on his board and paddled over to where we were.

“The pig surfs?” He smirked when he got to us. His friend was right beside him. He had brownish hair, hazel colored eyes, and a very nicely built body.

“Shut up panda. So what if I surf? You got a problem with that?” I asked him with an annoyed tone. He just has to call me a pig whenever he sees me.

“No, but it’s just funny to see a pig on a surfing board. You shouldn’t wear that wet suit. It clings onto your fat. It’s kind of disgusting. If you don’t have the body, then don’t wear something like that.” He laughed at me.

“Shut up you lazy panda. I’m here to surf, not to argue with you. Why don’t you and just get out of here and stay away from me?” I exclaimed.

“Hey! We’re here to surf too. This ocean’s not yours. I can do whatever I want and right now I want to surf.” He replied.

“Why don’t you go over there and surf? There’s lots of room!” I pointed to my right.

“I like it here. If you don’t like me being here, why don’t you move somewhere else?” He smirked.

“Jina and I were here first. You two should be the ones moving away.” I stated.

“Girls shouldn’t be surfing. They should be shopping. So, why don’t the two of you just go back to the beach and let the guys do the surfing?” He suggested.

“You think you’re so good at surfing hah?” I asked him.

“I’m better than you.” He replied.

“Let’s see about that. Let’s have a competition. Whoever catches the next wave without falling into the water wins. Loser has to say sorry and buys everyone dinner.” I challenged him. I wasn’t afraid of him.

“Deal.” He smirked.
