�I am soooooo bored. What is there to do in this place?�Kahi screamed as she laid on the couch.

She looked around the living room. She saw a bookcase in the corner near the computer desk. She got up and walked over there and looked at it. On the very bottom drawer, she saw TOP�s highschool yearbooks. She sat down and took out the yearbook when they were in 9th grade.

She opened it and found her picture. She looked incredibly small in the picture. She looked some more and found the one where their both in 8th grade. They were voted cutest couple in their 8th grade superlative. She looked at the picture of them two together closely and smiled. They did look incredible sweet together.

She found a photo album that was label Kahi on the front. She opened it and inside were all pictures of her. Some were with her and TOP, but every one of them were of her. �I can�t believe he still have all of this.�

DING DONG

Kahi placed the photo album down and went to the door. She opened it and there stood Yunho.

�Hey, what are you doing here? Come in,� she said as Yunho stepped inside.

�I came to take you out to lunch. It�s my lunch break,� Yunho said as he noticed the pile of books on the floor. He headed over to it. He saw the picture of TOP and Kahi and picked up that photo album. �You and TOP?�

�What do you think?�

�Okay, stupid question. You guys look so young,� Yunho commented. �You guys... look...... very..... close.�

�We were. We were dating then.�

�You guys dated?�

Kahi nodded. �We dated throughout school. I moved away in 10th grade, but we were a long distance couple for a while. But broke up because we didn�t get to see each other.�

�Oh,� was all Yunho said as he scanned through the pictures. �Yeah, you two do look...close.�

Kahi smiled. �That was years ago. Before we even knew what we we�re doing.�

�So if you two were so young, you wouldn�t really consider it love right?�

Kahi thought for a moment. �No, we were in love. I mean, as we got older, we knew what we were getting into. But sometimes, no matter how much you care for someone, long distance is really hard to keep.�

�Do you still love him?� Yunho asked.

�Sometimes I think I do, but then I realized it was a love for a friend.�

Yunho took a sigh of relief. �So how about lunch?�

�Okay, I�m hungry anyway.�

�Your always hungry,� Yunho joked as he and Kahi headed out of the door.

�Tonight we will probably get to see the gang leader,� Sunye said as she and the other officers sat in the office discussing the case from last night.

Jiyong nodded. �Well, that would be all for now. Everyone take a lunch break.�

Everyone got up and headed out of the door.

�Sunye,� Jiyong said.

Sunye turned around and face Jiyong.

�You want to go out to lunch with me?�

Sunye smiled. �Sure.�

�Okay, let�s go.�

�Where are we going?� Sunye asked.

�Where do you want to go?�

Sunye thought for a minute. �Let�s go to a buffet. I feel like I�m going to be eating a lot from all the exhilaration from last night.�

�Alright, I know this place we can go to,� Jiyong said as he and Sunye got into his car.

***Later at the restaurant***

�You did a wonderful job last night. You kept complete control,� Jiyong said after he and Sunye had ordered.

�Really? Thanks. I was so nervous though,� Sunye said smiling cheek to cheek.

�So you know the Officer�s Ball is coming up in two days.�

�Oh I know! I�m so excited. But I don�t have a date yet...�

�Do you want to go with me?� Jiyong asked nervously.

�With you? As a date?�Sunye asked in a little bit of a surprise tone.

�Yeah. You don�t have to.. It was just a suggestion.� Jiyong said quickly.

Sunye laughed. �Oh course I�ll love to go with you. You don�t have to get so nervous.�

Jiyong sigh. �What? I�m not nervous. I just didn�t want you to feel obligated to go with me.�

Sunye looked Jiyong in the eyes. �Jiyong, I�ll be honor to be your date for the Officer�s Ball.�

Jiyong smiled. �Thank you Sunye. And I�ll be honor to take you as my date. As clumsy as you are in heels.�

�HEY!�

�Kidding, kidding.�

�So did you hear anything about an Officer�s Ball?� Yunho asked nervously.

�Yeah, Jin young told me about it today. Me and Uee are both invited,� Kahi said as she ate her french fries.

�Are you going?�

Kahi stop eating and looked at Yunho. *What is he up to?* �I don�t know.... WHY?�

Yunho shook his head. �No reason. Just asking.�

�Really?�

�Really.�

�Okay.�

�So how�s Uee? Is she staying?�

Kahi shook her head. �No. Jaejoong hasn�t put any effort into asking her to stay again. If he doesn�t ask her soon, it�ll be too late.�

�If TOP asked you to stay, would you?�

Kahi stop and look at Yunho again. She knew that in these times of getting to know him, she has gotten to the point where she knew she could fall for him any second. But she controlled that because she knew that there was no point in starting a relationship that was doom to end. �No.�

Somehow hearing that NO, Yunho was a bit relieve that she wouldn�t stay for TOP.If she did, then that means TOP is still important to her enough for her to stay. That would mean she still loved him. That would mean, there�s no chance for him. But yet, the fact that she wouldn�t stay, mean that she was really leaving. And he didn�t know how to keep her back.
