Prom Date Project
As I pushed the front door open, I tiredly laid down on the living room floor. I sighed in pleasure.
"I can't believe you made me run 15 laps with you" I groaned.
"Hey, hey, get up from there. The floor's cold. You're gonna get sick" he gestured his hands towards me, offering it afterwards.
I grabbed it and stood up.
"I'm gonna go shower. How about you?" I asked.
"I didn't really sweat much. Well, not as much as you did" he chuckled.
"You're gross you need to shower, you know" I scrunched my nose.
"I, uh, don't really have other clothes to change into" he scratched the back of his head.
"Are you serious? You go jogging yet you don't have clothes to change into?" I snorted.
"I did! I prepared some clothes but I accidentally left it at home because I was in a hurry to come here" he said, his voice slowly becoming more quiet as he reached the end of his sentence.
"I'll just ask Donghyun hyung to bring some of his clothes here later or I could go home and come back here again" he reasoned.
"Uh, no and no. One, Donghyun will come here like, more than an hour later. Two, it'll take up too much of your time if you go back home then come back here" I explained.
"So what do you suggest then?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I could lend you my father's shirt and maybe some shorts too. You can still ask Donghyun to bring you some clothes that you can change into later. My point is, you just need a shower, get it?" I answered.
He sighed "Okay"
At his answer, I dragged him upstairs and showed him where he can shower, left him some clothes and took a shower my self.
After we freshened up, I invited him to breakfast as we waited for Donghyun.
"Man, you eat like a pig but you're still so skinny" Woojin commented as he chewed on a bacon strip.
"Excuse me, that's no way for the guest to address the host" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Aw you're so cute" he said pinching my cheeks.
I slapped his hand away "Finish your food, Donghyun's going to arrive soon" I said, cleaning up my plate.
He ate the last bite of food in his plate, setting his utensils down before following me back to the living room.
"I'm gonna go brush my teeth. You wait there, okay?" I said.
"No, I want to come with" he waved his hand.
"You want to come with me while I brush my teeth?" I spluttered with a laugh.
He came closer to me to whisper in my ear.
"I don't want to be alone here. Your maids keep looking at me weird" he whispered.
I softly pushed him away with a chuckle.
"Fine. Whatever you say"
I my feet and started walking upstairs, to the bathroom in my room. I heard Woojin's footsteps follow behind me.
"Nice room" he commented as we entered my room.
"Very Pink"
"You're very talkative today" I commented back.
I lead the way to, yet another pink room, the bathroom.
I grabbed the toothbrush from the cup by the sink, squeezing some toothpaste on it before brushing it on my teeth. I looked towards Woojin, who was just staring at me brushing my teeth.
"What?" I muttered through a mouthful of foam.
"Remember what I told you back at the diner yesterday?" He suddenly asked.
"Which one?" I said, after spitting out some foam to be able to speak properly.
"That I'd take you out on a date" he said, almost making me choke on the toothpaste.
I put the toothbrush out of my mouth before speaking.
"Uh, I guess" I said, still flustered.
He chuckled at my reaction, putting my face in between his palms.
"You're so adorable" he said, squeezing my face.
"Yeah, you said that before" I replied
I heard the door to my room open, as a maid looked inside the bathroom we were in.
"Miss, you have another visitor. He said his name was Kim Donghyun" she said.
"That's your cue to leave" I told Woojin stretching my lips into a toothy grin.
"I'll be there soon" I told the maid.
She bowed and left.
"I'll see you downstairs then" he said.
I hummed back, turning to the faucet to gargle and finish brushing.
I quickly headed downstairs and saw Donghyun seated alone on the sofa.
"Hey" I greeted.
"Hey" he greeted back.
"Why did Woojin come from your room?" he asked.
"He said he wanted to come with me while I brush my teeth. Weird" I shook my head as I laughed.
He nodded in understanding, weirdly not having a different reaction.
"I, uh, thought of something" he suddenly spoke.
"Yeah? What is it?"
"I want to make it simple. Just me pouring out my feelings for her" he said.
I nodded. "You know, I seriously didn't know you, Woojin and Yoojung went to the same school together."
He chuckled "Yeah. I'm guessing she doesn't know either. I wasn't really a kid you'll notice back then"
"I have an idea too, actually" I said.
"Really? What is it?" he asked, just as Woojin came back from changing clothes and took a seat beside me.
I glanced towards Woojin first, who gave me an encouraging nod.
"Yoojung is actually mad at me right now but uhm, I want to incorporate your confession with my apology" I started.
I explained the flow of the plan as Donghyun nodded his head attentively at everything I said.
"When are you and Woojin going to afterwards?" he asked.
Woojin slung his arm over me "We'll go on our own date" he winked.
I scoffed "You wish", nudging him in the gut with my elbow. He removed his arm from my shoulder with a pout.
"So, are we done here?" Donghyun asked.
"Uhm, no ofcourse not. I need to plan every step with you guys perfectly. First, I need to call Yoojung and ask her to meet up with me so then we'll know when to do the plan"
Both guys nodded.
I pulled my phone from my pocket and dialled hopefully. I knew Yoojung, she couldn't be mad for too long. She just needs to feel how apologetic and genuine the person is until she loosens up.
The phone rung and I put my finger on my lips to tell them not to make a noise. I was startled when the phone was picked up, almost ending up dropping my phone in the process. Woojin snickered beside me at the sight and I punched his arm in response.
"Hello? Yoojung?"
