Prologue;

“You don’t know! You don’t know what it feels like loving someone who’s in a rush to throw you away!”

“I didn’t ask for you to love me in the first place.”

Gyu Ri’s eyes flashed at Jong Hyun as soon as those harsh words were out of his mouth. How could he? The man she dedicated all her love to. How could he do this to her?

“You know...I thought...I thought I could be the girl to change you. I thought I was at least worth that much to be given a chance,” she retreated, her voice already cracking.

Jong Hyun smirked.

“You knew what you were putting yourself into didn’t you? You can’t blame me now.”

She wiped away her tears fiercely with the back of her hand and stood up abruptly.

“I won’t beg you, I won’t plead with you. Just don’t regret it one day and come running to me for forgiveness. Because by that time, I’d probably already be with someone who knows how to appreciate me, long before you do.”

“I’m sure that day won’t come,” he said defiantly.

But then, we never know what the future holds for us. Do we?
