What I'm Keeping Inside
Unspoken Words
Ji Young’s POV
“Oh! I’m sorry!”
The books that I was holding dropped from my hands when I bumped hard into someone in my hurry to get to class.
I bent down and scrambled to gather my books together. He did the same and helped me along.
“I’m sorry,” he apologised again. “I didn’t see you there.”
“It’s okay. Wasn’t your fault. Thanks,” I said hurriedly as I took my book from him and hurried off for class.
Little did I know, that was the beginning of something beautiful.
“Hey. I think this belongs to you.”
I whirled around at the sound of the voice.
“Um sorry. Were you talking to me?”
“Nay,” he gave me a smile. “I was waiting for you.”
“Wae?” I asked confused.
He held up my favourite pen between his two fingers.
“Yours, right?”
“Ah! Thank goodness you found it. I was looking everywhere for it!”
“You must have dropped it when we bumped into each other just now.”
I smacked my forehead.
“You’re right! I didn’t think of that,” I said as I took the pen from him. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, Ji Young,” he grinned at me before walking away.
“Wait! How did you...?”
I glanced down at my pen and saw my name which was printed clearly on it. Oh, so that’s how he knew.
But that wasn’t fair. I didn’t know his name.
Tae Min’s POV
I waited until he was out of sight before making my way towards her.
“Who was that?”
“Where did you come from?” she whipped around in surprise.
I grinned sheepishly at her.
“I was at my locker. And I saw you. So I came over. Who was that guy?” I repeated. “I’ve never seen you talking to him before.
“Oh. I don’t know. I didn’t catch his name. He came to return my pen which I had dropped earlier.”
“Oh. He’s our sunbae right?”
She shrugged.
“How would I know? I’ve just met him.”
I looked carefully at Ji Young’s reaction. There wasn’t any trace of blushing or embarrassment.
But the guy, I saw the way he looked at her.
And I didn’t like it one bit.
