Second Chances
Description
Wooyoung and Taeyeon were childhood friends for as long as they could remember. When they were seven years old, Wooyoung promised Taeyeon that he would marry her when they grew up. However, he had failed to keep his promise to Taeyeon due to his complacency and his inability to express himself. On the day that Taeyeon is getting married, Wooyoung regrets not telling her his true feelings, so much that the fairy present in the church at that time took pity on him and gave him the chance to change his fate and fulfill the promise he made to Taeyeon. Will he be able to get her back, or will he lose her again, forever?
Characters:
Jang Wooyoung
A typical guy who is too stubborn and unable to understand girls. However, he is rather popular with girls due to his good looks. He tends to be a little wishy-washy and indecisive. Due to the long time he has spent with Taeyeon, his feelings towards her grew to a great extent until he cannot imagine his life without her. However, he took it for granted and thought he had all the time in the world to confess to her. Before he knew it, Taeyeon was getting married to someone else.
Kim Taeyeon
A kind, caring, cute and dorky girl. The perfect girl anyone could have. Best friends with Jang Wooyoung since primary school and have stuck together until adulthood. Their parents knew each other well. She tends to daydream a lot but has her own set of principles. She had a crush on Wooyoung for as long as she could remember but was disappointed repeatedly when Wooyoung failed to confess on the many occasions that he could.
Ok Taecyeon
A geeky, nerdy guy who is one of Wooyoung’s best guy friends. He fell in love with Yoona at first sight. As he always looks so nerdy, he is not popular with girls. During high school, he confessed many times to Yoona, only to be rejected. He always took it lightly due to his cheerful deposition and believed that one day, he would get his happy ending with Yoona.
Im Yoona
A beautiful, popular girl that is almost everyone’s ideal girl. She has a very outgoing and playful personality that makes her well-liked with guys and girls alike. As she is very attractive, the chances of her falling in love with Taecyeon was very small, especially when they first got to know each other. However, as time passed by, the two got closer to each other. They progressed to the stage where they are very comfortable with one another, with constant teasing.
Lee Junho
A guy who is sweet and loyal. He loves things that have to do with cameras and video recorders and is a genius at computers. As much as he loves his girlfriend and is extremely loyal to her, he does not like the idea of marriage as he was a witness to his parents’ broken marriage and he doesn’t want to end up like them. In other words, he is a strong believer of the saying “Marriage is the tombstone of love.”
A/N: Hello this is my very first fanfic! Recently I realised that there are more and more WooTae fanfics appearing, and I'm a happy shipper ^^ Hehe. By the way, if this storyline is familiar to you all, this story is based on the Japanese drama, Proposal Daisakusen. It’s one of my favourite Japanese dramas! It’s really meaningful and touching too, so I doubt I'll do it justice :S Sorry! So there will be phrases from the drama itself. However, I'll be changing/excluding/trying to change some of the events that happened to avoid taking the whole story from the drama. WooTae will be the main couple, and TaecYoon and JunHyo would be side couples. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story and that I don't let you down! Subscribe and do comment! Feedback on how to improve are also welcome :D
DISCLAIMER: All the pictures/gifs are taken from Google Image Search or Tumblr and editted by me. I take no credit, nor am I the original source. I'm sorry I'm not sure of the sources though... if anyone happens to know, please tell me, I'll be sure to credit! Thanks a lot! :D
Foreword
She looked at herself in the mirror and wondered how the stylists could have made her look so beautiful. She had always thought she was an average-looking girl but as she stared at the mirror, she thought the person that was looking back at her was completely foreign. Much too beautiful to be herself, Kim Taeyeon. Of course, that was just her humble opinion, because in the eyes of many people, she was more than just pretty. She didn’t have a forgettable face, and her features were very distinct. Her hair had soft, brown curls and her eyes were so attractive. To those who knew her, she was beautiful inside out, as she had a heart of gold, and was kind and caring. The perfect person anyone could be.
Mr. and Mrs. Kim walked into the waiting room, and looked at their eldest daughter with a bright and proud smile.
“My dear girl is finally getting married today. I never thought the day would come so quickly,” Mr. Kim said, while spreading his arms to hug his daughter.
“My Taeyeon is so beautiful,” Mrs. Kim cooed, while patting Taeyeon’s head like she was still a child.
“Be happy okay?” Mr Kim said as tears rolled down his cheeks. At watching this scene, Mrs. Kim smiled and looked at the both of them lovingly.
“Yes Appa, I will.” Taeyeon cried, while hugging her beloved father even tighter.
“UNNIE!!!! You’re so pretty!” Taeyeon's little sister, Hayeon, ran into the room and hugged her older sister.
“Oppa! Hayeon-ah! You’ve come!” Taeyeon greeted her sister and brother with a smile.
“Taeyeon, promise me you are happy and that you will be happy. Or else I won’t let you or your husband off.” Taeyeon’s older brother gave her a threatening glare. Taeyeon punched her brother playfully on the shoulder and smiled.
“Pinky promise.”
