Excuses
Second Chances
“At the end of the day, let there be no excuses, no explanations, no regrets.”

“Ahhh I swear the heat is out to kill us all! I can’t do this anymore!” Taecyeon whined as he collapsed onto the sofa.
Taeyeon, Wooyoung, Taecyeon, Yoona, Junho and Leeteuk were in Leeteuk’s dorm, helping him to clear out his dorm as he had to move out soon.
“Thanks so much for helping me out! Patbingsoo on me later!” Leeteuk shouted from the room as he had an assignment to rush out.
“Daebak! That’s just what I was craving!” Taeyeon cheered.
“Ahhh let’s get this done quickly so we can go out. Hwaiting!” Yoona said. All of them went back to work quickly after a short break.
‘Aish, how can I confess in such a casual situation like this? It should be in somewhere romantic to make the atmosphere right…’ Wooyoung thought, while looking at Taeyeon, who then went into another room to continue keeping what was needed. Wooyoung followed her, and just stood there at the doorway, hesitating. ‘Now is probably not the right time to break out of my shell right?’
Taeyeon seemed to notice him and looked at him curiously, “Youngie? What’s wrong?”
“Oh, umm, nothing.” Wooyoung said. He quickly walked to a corner of the room and started pretending to be busy.
“Did you come here to idle around too?” Taeyeon teased.
“No, I didn’t!” Wooyoung replied.
“Then, help me with this box! Please put it over there.” Taeyeon said. Somehow, Wooyoung got the sudden courage and decided to do it there and then.
“Kim Taeyeon. I really… I have always li-" he was just about to spill out the words he had wanted to say but he was suddenly aware of someone else in the room.
“YAH! What are you doing here?! Stop it!” Wooyoung quickly covered the camcorder that Junho was using to film the both of them.
“I just got this baby last week! Finally managed to save enough!” Junho said happily.
“You are doing this at the wrong time, don’t you get it?!” Wooyoung told Junho with clenched teeth.
“Aigoo, stop it and bring all these to the recycling bins downstairs instead.” Taeyeon said, pointing to a heap of used paper and magazines on the floor.
“Why me?” Wooyoung whined.
“Because you were fooling around and not doing your work properly!” Taeyeon said with a hint of annoyance.
“I should shoot a documentary on you: Jang Wooyoung, 20 years old this year, who is now being scolded by his childhood friend.” Junho said and continued filming Wooyoung who was trying to block the camera.
“That’s why you should go with him too, Junho.” Taeyeon added, giving a smirk.
“Huh but we’ll die of a heatstroke if we go out there…” Junho murmured, finally putting down his camcorder.
“I’ll leave this to you guys! Okay? Okay. You’ve worked hard~” Taeyeon smiled innocently and left the room, leaving the two guys behind.

“What on earth are we doing here man, seriously?” Junho complained as he pushed a cart of recyclable items down the slope.
“What?” Wooyoung asked, as he was only half listening due to the unbearable summer heat.
“It’s almost the end of the holiday break and we’re at the back of the school pushing this cart to the dump.”
“Yeah man. We should be at a vacation house or the beach enjoying our break before our finals!” Wooyoung replied. “What are we doing here cleaning instead?”
‘It’d be the perfect situation for me to confess if we went to the beach. I mean, how much better can it get?’ Wooyoung thought bitterly.

“Yoona-ah! It feels weird for you to be here with us during summer vacation, but I’m glad you are here with us though.” Taeyeon said. The two girls were cleaning the shelves in the bedroom.
“Really? Ah I guess so, since I’ve always been away with my boyfriend during summer vacation since high school until now. But this year I just don’t feel the rush to find another guy.”
“Omo. That totally doesn’t sound like you! Hahaha. What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know… I thought I’ll be getting a new boy
