A chance
Second Chances
“Aigoo, Hyoyeon and Junho are seriously such a strange couple.” Taeyeon said, as she and Yoona were eating lunch at the cafeteria in the university. Yoona seemed to be in deep thought as she didn’t seem to be listening.
“Yoong!” Taeyeon managed to get Yoona back from her thoughts. “You seem really out of sorts these days. And you keep sighing while looking at your phone. Tell me, did anything happen?”
“Oh? Ah it's nothing, I’m just tired, don’t worry!” Yoona managed to put on a smile. “Anyway, don’t you think Hyoyeon is impressive? She just has this hold over Junho!”
Sensing that Yoona did not want to talk about her problem at the moment, Taeyeon decided to drop the subject. “Haha yeah, it’s quite funny. And Junho’s a loyal guy. To go to such lengths for a relationship is impossible for me, what I think is that there is ‘suitable’ and ‘not suitable’ for people.”
“Well, I guess that doesn’t really matter in a relationship if it is serious enough. When there’s something or someone you don’t want to lose, it’s probably a matter of whether you take the first step, even if you look pathetic in the eyes of others.” Yoona said, with a hint of sadness on her face.
Taeyeon looked at her dear friend in concern and was thinking about her words. Why was Yoona saying such words? Taeyeon pondered over whether to ask her friend again when Yoona spoke again.
“Taengoo, I-“
“Taeyeon! I’ll like to speak with you for a moment.” Yoona was interrupted by a call from Mr. Jung, Taeyeon’s teacher in architecture.
