Dance! Wooo - oooooh!

He was Moses in the 21st Century.

Everything that he passed by was split into half.

He was like some famous celebrity that no one knew how it happened and what planet he came from.

Yoochun and Heechul kept on smirking at the tamed faces of those who used to threaten their friend with their nasty fangs. They were walking their way to their first class. Donghae endured their tons of questions after questions, not letting even one of them sink in for him to answer. Mostly, the three just asked how he did it. Did what?

“Why are they looking at me like that?” Donghae whispered to Siwon as he tried not to look at the students in the hallway.

Siwon smiled before answering, “Yang Sandara never apologizes to anyone.”

“Huh?”

In the end, he didn’t answer any question at all. Well, he didn’t give a slight information at all too. About losing his mom’s locket. Yang Sandara going to his apartment in ELF St. Her insulting every corner of it. And her . . .

Her breath all over his face.

Her nose almost touching his.

Her warm hand around his neck.

Her eyes . . .

“You’re really not gonna tell us?” Heechul turned his eyes into slits.

“There’s nothing to tell.” He replied, shaking his head as he turned that knob open.

“Liar.” Siwon, Yoochun and Heechul chorused with a frown.

And the four namjas entered their room.

Those he remembered bullying him for the past three weeks could not even look at him in the eyes. Bobby, Taehyun, Hyuna, Krystal and the others. They were all sitting catatonic to their chairs. He felt Yoochun tapped his right shoulder as they went to sit on their chairs. Donghae walked to his almost favorite ground. At the back. He just stood there and took his Surgery book, ignoring Professor PSY’s astounded look at him.

Donghae couldn’t decide which was better.

People bullying and ignoring him or them giving him this attention like he was some breakthrough invention in this world.

He glanced to his left where she always sat. As he just expected, she was absent.

Twenty minutes had passed and Donghae was intently listening to his teacher.

PSY paused the video on screen. “What you saw in the video was an example of a contraction. It is the shortening of the uterine muscles occurring at intervals before and during child-” He paused for a while when he heard the door opened, lowering his voice for a bit. “birth.”

With her straight and brown-ish, shaved hair falling gracefully to her right shoulder, denim jumpsuit paired with a fit, white-cropped top that was showing her bare shoulders and navel, Dara sashayed her way to her seat. Her Saint Laurent black boots kicked a pen that fell to the center aisle as she made her way. Her classmates never failed to look at her in awe and fear. But this time, something was there as they looked at her. Confusion. What’s with the I’m sorry words in the Wall of Doom? Is she okay? They all thought but didn’t dare to ask out loud.

Professor PSY cleared his throat, trying to get everyone’s attention back and resumed with explaining and showing more pictures about childbirth and the complications one can encounter.

Donghae had his eyes glued to the pictures, analyzing everything but he couldn’t help but glance at her back sometimes. Lee Donghae, I’m sorry. He couldn’t seem to believe it as well. Just a few days ago, she was so determined on making him live in hell but now . . .

His eyes turned back to the screen when he saw Dara standing from her chair. As usual, she’d just sit there for a while and go. He was answering some questions about the average gestation periods of selected mammals when he almost threw his black pen when an irked face blocked his view.

Dara stopped just in front of him with that expression he could never read. Before he could even crease his brows, the heiress already grabbed his notebook away from him. She’s taking my work again! He thought and was about to protest. He was expecting her to submit it but was silenced when Dara sat back to her chair and threw his notebook to the vacated desk on her left and resumed on scrolling her Instagram feed.

.           .           .           .           .           .

Donghae walked to her back in bafflement. What is it this time? He was staring at her with those very confused eyes as he took his notebook from the desk and began walking back where he always was.

“Urgh!”

He hasn’t yet passed to the center aisle when he heard her groaned loudly and looked back at him with that defined scowl.

“Sit.” Dara told him in exasperation.

Sit?

And it hit him.

With a dubious look written in his face, Donghae took his stuff from the back, walk to the chair and desk near the window just beside her and sat slowly. His doubtful eyes not leaving her bored face. The moment he felt his landed on the chair was when he heard loud gasps from the room.

“He sat on the chair!”

“I can’t believe it.”

“Yang Sandara allowed him so! Wae?”

“Who does he think he is?”

Donghae was dumbfounded too. Not because of the very violent reactions but with her making him sit beside her. Even his friends, WonHeeChun, were all gawking at him.

“What the hell are your problems?”

They all shut up instantly and turned their heads to Professor PSY who was stunned too. Dara gave them all a burning glare, not wanting to hear more of it. For she herself was shocked too.

I let him sit beside me. I can’t believe it. I allowed him so. Why? Who is he? The questions from them came back to her kinda dizzy mind. What the hell is my problem?

Dara glanced at the guy beside her but quickly looked away too because Donghae was also staring at her in puzzlement.

I should’ve taken Fine Arts. Her last thought before that class ended. My life would be easier.

Ms. Kang Hyoni accepted him back in the YG library. He stayed there for a good thirty minutes, helping students placed the books to their proper sections. He was on his way to the cafeteria to meet his friends for lunch when he bumped into someone.

“Hey!” She greeted him with a wide smile.

“Hey!” Donghae’s atmosphere seemed to lighten up with that smile that never failed to mesmerize him. “Yoona. How are you?”

“I’m fine.” She chuckled gracefully. “I don’t think I have to ask you.” Donghae creased his brows. “See? I told you. You’ll make it in here.”

It took a moment for Donghae to get that. She saw the Wall of Doom. For the first time, he actually felt a little proud about that. “I-”

“So, can you share some survival tips to me?” Yoona laughed as the two began walking to the cafeteria.

Still, he doesn’t know how to reply on that too. “I d-don’t know.” Donghae could feel the incredulity again on those YG students who were looking as they passed by. Is it because of the Wall of Doom or me walking with Yoona? He couldn’t help but thought.

Donghae glanced to her in the corner of his ancient eyeglasses. She’s really breathtaking.

“You know what. I really want an autograph from you.”

“Eh?” He scratched the back of his head shyly. “Am I a hero now or some sort?”

“More than that!” Yoona exclaimed loudly before jumping in front of him with a bright grin and two thumbs up. “You’re the best.”

No. You are. Donghae was glued there on the garden as he stared at those pearly white teeth of hers. He could feel a blush creeping on his face and he wondered if she was seeing it right now.

“Yah Donghae! We’ve been waiting for . . .” Yoochun’s voice faded as the three of them saw who Donghae was with. The three of them just stood there, staring in astonishment at the lady.

“Oh. Hey. Well, uhm.” Donghae didn’t know if he should be happy seeing his friends just like the old times or irritated that they had to ruin this short moment with Yoona. “Guys. I want you to meet-”

“Yoona!” Siwon jumped up and down while Heechul waved in a very exaggerated manner. Yoochun came and kept shaking the hell out of the very clueless Donghae. “Annyeong!”

“Hi guys!” Yoona waved back and beamed a smile. “How are you?”

“We’re great!” They chorused.

Yoona looked at Donghae beside her and saw the confusion in his face. “We were classmates during prep.”

“Oh. I see.”

“Yoona,” said Heechul. “Congratulations on your recent art exhibit. Heard you nailed it in Hongkong last Sunday.”

“Oh. Kamsahamnida Heechul.” Yoona bowed slightly at him. “I’m just happy everything turned out fine.”

“Was it SONE 11th already?” Yoochun asked.

“Aniyo, 10th actually.”

Donghae looked at Yoochun then to Yoona. “SONE 10th?”

Heechul answered for her. “It’s what she calls her art exhibits. It’s her 10th art exhibit that was launched.”

Donghae just nodded like a good student he was. Yoona bade goodbye after that. The guys asked her to go with her for some lunch but she politely refused for she already made plans with Taeyeon and Seohyun.

Siwon, Heechul and Yoochun stepped away from Donghae as they gave the guy a suspicious look. Donghae was still waving his hand even though she was out of sight already. Their faces were too close to Donghae that Siwon and him almost kissed when he turned around. “Yah! What are you guys doing?!” He jumped away from them, wiping his lips from an almost ual harassment.

“Boy. You’re gonna spill so much beefy juice on us,” Heechul smirked at him.

“Mwo?”

“There. That’s how Yoona and I met and became close.”  He just finished telling his story at the same time, finished eating his vegetable stew which disgusted Yoochun a while ago.

Heechul and Siwon nodded as they drank their soda. “How much do you know Yoona?” They asked.

“Hm?” He drank his water. “Well, other than she’s a Fine Arts students and she’s the daughter of Senator Im? Yoona,” His gaze fell on the white daisy dancing near his feet. “She’s a very simple girl. Simple but elegant without even trying. It matches well with that pure and innocent beauty that she has.” He could still see that smile she had on him a few minutes ago. “Maybe that’s why I feel so comfortable when I’m with her. She reminds me of Mokpo. Of course, it’s not that she has a doppelganger there.” Donghae softly chuckled to himself. “Yoona reminds me that it’s okay to be different. It’s okay to just be me and not change into someone that people expect me to be.”

Their table was filled with silence.

“Wow.” Siwon said with that lost look. “Too deep that I drowned.” Yoochun and Heechul laughed at his comment while Donghae just smiled at him.

Kim Heechul paused as he studied that smile on Donghae’s face. He knew it wasn’t for them. “You like her.”

Donghae snapped his head. “Her? Who?”

“You like Yoona.”

He looked like he bitten by some reptile when he tried to deny it. “I-I . . . A-aniyo. S-she’s . . . Yoona is a friend of m-mine.” He stuttered, averting his gaze from them.

“Friend of mine.” Siwon repeated with that teasing tone.

“Why are you lying to your friends?” Heechul said with that faked offended tone.

Donghae bought that hurt face of him though. “Okay! Yes. Okay? I have a crush on Yoona. Happy now? Are we all okay?” He opened the soda that Yoochun bought for him and emptied it.

“Yeeaaaahh!” Yoochun made a high five with Siwon.

“Crush?” Heechul couldn’t help but frown. “What are you? A highschooler?” Somehow the word, crush, weirded him out.

“Are you gonna make your moves on her now? She seems comfortable with you too. You might have a chance!” Yoochun said.

“Moves?” Donghae didn’t get that.

“Court her!” Siwon threw a napkin to his friend’s face. “Be her boyfriend. Goodness! Are Mokpo people this naïve?” He sighed exaggeratedly.

“No.” Donghae simply answered as he looked away.

“No?” The three of them asked.

Donghae looked back at them like they’re the complications in life he couldn’t solve. “Look at her.” Paused. “Look at me.” His voice was down. “We’re not . . .” He pursed his lips to the front and shook his head slowly, still thinking of the words to follow. “We are not.” He settled for that after all.

“Is this some kind of a Korean drama? What channel?” Siwon teased again.

He sighed for a bit. “Yoona is like an angel.” His gaze fell on the daisy waving at him again. “She’s up there while I’m-” His voice was trailing off. Donghae has never had any girlfriend ever since the moment of his conception. He wasn’t really paying attention to it for his sole focus was on his studies. His dream. He decided that courting somebody should come after passing his board exam. When he already has a stable job. At least, he could be the man that a girl would be proud introducing to her family, right?

But now that somebody asked him about his feelings for this lady he wouldn’t hide about him having a crush on.

“She’s an angel that I should just gaze upon the heaven.” He remembered her smile. Her laugh. How she laid his eyes on her the first time. “And I’m just a human who should always keep my feet on the ground.”

The three had their mouth slightly opened as they watched how Donghae was immersed to his own thoughts. “Are you sure you’re in Medicine or Literature?” Siwon and Heechul laughed at Yoochun as they made high-five to each other again. It puzzled Donghae if they ever get tired of doing that. Mostly, it was Siwon who does it first. He thought that he just influenced the other two on that weird high-fiving habit.

“So, Donghae and Yoona are impossible to happen?” Yoochun asked.

He sighed again. “Y-yeah.” Admittance sometimes stings.

Heechul sat on top of the table in exhilaration. “How about Dara and Donghae then?”

.           .           .           .           .           .

“Dara?” Donghae narrowed his eyes at him.

“Yang Sandara.”

Yang Sandara?

Dara?

“As in Yang Sandara?!” Donghae almost shouted her name in disbelief. Both their names in one sentence? Really? “Chul. Are you okay?”

“Yeah.” Siwon looked at Heechul too with confusion. Why is the Yang heiress on their topic? “Why is she-”

Heechul just straightene
