"W-What do you mean... I f-found you?" Jungkook frowned confusedly at the girl in front of him. 

Half of his attention was focused on what she'd said earlier, while the other half couldn't help but be cautious of where she was standing. She was casually balancing herself on the rooftop ledge, her face clearly showing no fear of falling down. This caused his confusion to increase, because this girl was obviously not normal at all. 

Who would be in their right mind to do that? Was this girl thinking straight? He couldn't help but wonder to himself. 

But when the girl turned around, Jungkook could get a closer look at how she looked like. The moment their eyes met, he was stupified. She had fair skin, a little desaturated. Her eyes were wide, bright and sparkling all at once. The atmosphere Jungkook sensed around her didn't give him any unpleasant feelings. There was this jubilant vibe which surrounded her and her attractive smile which displayed all her pearly whites. Something about her felt dreamlike, but he was too taken aback by this girl's sudden appearance to examine it in further detail. 

Before the girl could say anything, Jungkook interrupted her. He couldn't keep his eyes off her feet standing ont he ledge of the rooftop so carefreely; it was like she was going to suddenly fall off any second. He took brave strides towards the girl before sticking his arm out at her, geaturing his head at his open palm for her to take it. 

"I think you should get off of there. You're going to fall, for sure. If you're not careful." Jungkook warned her. He was trying to make his voice sound as cold as possible since they were strangers, but a hint of slight worry could still be sensed in his speech. 

However, the girl shook her head with a cheerful grin plastered on her face. Jungkook jerked front, his hand ready to grab on her wrist to prevent her from falling when she saw the girl abruptly sit down cross-legged ont he ledge. She stared at him with her wide, inquiring eyes as if she were a child examining something foreign. 

"You're quite handsome. Were you the one who tried to unlock the door earlier?" The girl asked. 

"H-How did you know that?"

"I just know things." She gestured her hand at Jungkook, telling him to come closer. Strangely, he found himself listening to this girl's orders. When they were close to each other, she leaned her head forwards with her questioning look.

Jungkook stared in her eyes while she was busy scrutinizing him from head to toe. He had no idea why he was standing as still as a tree, waiting for this girl to finish observing every small detail about him. He felt his heart rate increasing because of how close they were; he could hear her soft hums so clearly. It was of that unfamiliar tune he'd heard earlier. 

"What are you doing?" Jungkook took a step back, and the mysterious girl pulled back at the same time.

"You don't need to know. Anyways, I'm really thankful for you finding me. I thought it would take forever, because you know, barely anyone dares to come up to this rooftop. My name's Haewon. Ji Haewon." The girl named Haewon stuck her hand out. "What's yours?"

"My name..." Jungkook contemplated on this for awhile, since he wasn't sure if he wanted to give his name so absentmindedly. But this girl named Haewon looked so harmless   giving his name to her wouldn't hurt a fly. "My name is Jeon Jungkook."

Just as Jungkook was about to reach to shake her hand, he heard the rooftop door behind him swing open. He turned around to find Taehyung and Jimin standing there with blank looks on their faces. The two older boys took a look around the rooftop from the doorway. He couldn't tell if they were scared to step foot further in the place, though he was convinced it seemed like it. 

"This place doesn't look that bad." Jimin ran a hand through his disheveled hair before he jogged over to where Jungkook was standing, still with his hand hanging outstretched in the air. "Yah, Jeon Jungkook, what were you doing up here for so long? I thought we said a few minutes, but that turned in to a quarter of an hour."

"Ah   Hyungs, this is  " Jungkook turned around to find the that Ji Haewon had disappeared. His hand fell limp by his side, and his eyes scanned around his surroundings, searching for the girl whose long, wavy brown hair blew in the wind. "...Ji Haewon." Where did she go? She was here just a minute ago...

That was strange   No, it was the strangest thing that Jungkook had ever encountered. The girl was just in front of him, they were just about to shake hands, but for one second he looks away and she's gone. He could only stand there with his mouth agape, his mind still trying to process what he'd just seen. Did she jump?! Jungkook rushed to the ledge and planted his palms on the hard concrete of it before he propped one of his legs up, readying himself to climb on it. 

"Jeon Jungkook, what the heck are you doing?" Taehyung grabbed on his wrist to pull him down. 

"Didn't you guys see a girl here just now? When you guys opened the door, wasn't there a girl sitting on the ledge?" Jungkook poked his head out of the ledge to check if the girl could be found. Fortunately, he couldn't see any body laying sprawled on the ground. Maybe she's hiding somewhere because she doesn't want to be seen? But did she really have to run away like that? Or she could've been busy and decided to leave first.
