A/N: WOO I CAN FINALLY UPDATE!

Haewon awoke to the announcement of the train conductor.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we will be arriving at Busan shortly."

Still in her sleepy state, she looked outside the window and saw that most of the view they passed were beaches and a wide, bright blue sea. She was about to turn over to tell Jungkook everything like an excited child, but decided against it when she saw the boy asleep. It was then she noticed their intertwined hands rested on his lap, which made her heart beat rapidly. She remembered him rejecting all her skinship and now he was the one whose fingers were locked around hers, not wanting to let go even after Haewon tried to shake his hand off.

Haewon continued to admire the view for the last minutes of the train ride while Jungkook slept.

Soon, the train came to a stop at Busan station. The final announcement of the train conductor woke Jungkook up, and when he saw that Haewon was the first person to greet him after his sleep, he smiled eventhough his eyelids were still half closed.

"We're here, for real." Jungkook told her in his raspy voice. "Let's go, I'll show you around the place."

Jungkook stuck his hand out in front of Haewon before she slipped her hand in his without hesitance. Holding Jungkook's hand always made her feel safe no matter what situation they were in, because it told her that he was by her side to protect her.

They got off the train together and Haewon could already feel a different type of vibe coming from this place. It was more calming and less packed, unlike Seoul which often gave her a rush of mixed emotions since it was always bustling with people pushing and hurrying.

"Woah, this place feels really different. I think I'm starting to like Busan already." Haewon's mouth was agape as she scanned her surroundings.

"We haven't even done anything yet, and you already feel satisfied?" Jungkook slung his arm around her shoulder, bringing their bodies closer. "There's still so many things you need to see, Ji Haewon. So you can't leave my side, alright? I don't want any other guys taking you away."

"And you, Jeon Jungkook, cannot set your eyes on other girls." Haewon rebutted playfully.

"I would never." Jungkook turned to look at her with a grin plastered on his face. "Now, let's go buy a cake."

"Cake? What for?"

"Don't tell me you don't know what day it is today, Ji Haewon." Jungkook shot her a baffled look as he continued to stare at her while they were crossing the road to a nearby bakery. When Haewon showed no sign of being capable to answer, he bumped his fist on her head. "It's your birthday, and you forgot?"

For a second, Haewon was speechless. She felt so stupid for forgetting her birthday. Out of all days, she had to forget her birthday, she could remember her death anniversary so well, but not her birthday. It was her favourite celebration for the past eighteen years, and even when she was a ghost, she would go to the funeral hall and treat herself to abandoned, half-eaten cake. She'd died before her eighteenth birthday, so she was going to celebrate for real now, with Jungkook.

"You can't entirely blame it on me! I was so caught up with becoming human that I forgot about it!" Haewon explained, clinging on to Jungkook's arm.

They entered a bakery nearby and scrolled through the various types of cakes up for sale. Haewon couldn't tell if Jungkook was ignoring her because she forgot it was her birthday or because he was sincerely focused on choosing a cake. Anyways, the boy, once again, was not paying attention to her excuses eventhough she was hard to not notice. Come on, she was literally hugging his right arm.

"Who said I was buying a cake for you?" Jungkook blinked at her with wide, innocent eyes before taking his pick; a dome-shaped cake covered in chocolate designed to look like a bear.

Haewon watched him pay at the counter. She wasn't mad that Jungkook wasn't buying the cake for her, because she didn't want to gain extra weight anyway. But if he wanted to share the cake, she wouldn't mind. The cashier placed the cake in a decorated box and stuck eight long candles on top along with a number ten candle.

On their way out, she decided to ask him. "Then who are you buying that cake for? Huh? There's no way you're going to eat that whole thing by yourself and if you do, then that's just plain heartless!"

Jungkook's serious look soon turned in to a playful grin that erupted in to hearty laughter. "Teasing you is my favourite hobby now, I'm not lying. You're so cute, Haewon-ah. Did you teach yourself to charm me like this?" He pinched a side of her cheek and she sweared he pinched it hard on purpose to mock her again. "I bought this cake so we could share, because hey, it turns out that we have the same birthday."

Haewon's mouth fell agape, this couldnt've been a coincidence. "Shut up, Jeon Jungkook. You're lying, there's no way."

"Look, my Kakaotalk is exploding with notifications already." Jungkook flashed his phone at her which displayed the messages he was getting from schoolmates and people he didn't even know who just thought he was attractive.

"You must be happy, so many people remember your birthday. I bet my friends in high school already forgot about me now that they're in college and my birthday is another sad day for my parents. The only people who wish me are normally Seungcheol and Hanuel-nim," Haewon hopped on a short street ledge that overlooked the vast, clear sea, "But that's going to change, isn't it?"

Jungkook's mood was actually better than what he'd expected it to be. He thought that he would be depressed that Haewon was leaving him and he thought that he was going to treat her as if she was a queen but he knew it would only burden her and remind her that she was going to be leaving, so he acted like how he always did with her.

Though right now during the moment where Haewon was overlooking the sea, the grip Jungkook had around the cake box handle started to tighten. She'd left off at that sorrowful question, which Jungkook couldn't bring himself to answer. He stood at his spot behind her, taking deep, quiet breaths. He didn't know how to assure her about he
