Lesson Twentytwo

Interludium

Taehyung was still mad. When he was mad, his behavior was the worse and it scared Jungkook a lot. To cheer the older one up again Jungkook had decided to invite Taehyung to dinner. He told his seonbae that it was his treat. So Jungkook had brought Taehyung to a running sushi restaurant, where Jungkook used to go when he wanted to treat himself something nice and special. But since he never had much money he only ate from the cheapest plates. The restaurant wasn't very big, but it still had lots of visitors. Most guests were students or young adult, sometimes Japanese tourists came in too. Jungkook and Taehyung were sitting on the bar, where the sushi plates were running around the restaurant on a conveyor. The plate’s ad different colors, so everyone knew how much money each plate cost and so the waiter knew how much very costumer ate and had to pay. Jungkook turned away from Taehyung and checked his money. He had about 10000 won and he hoped a lot that it was enough, because usually it was enough for him. "Okay, please help yourself. I'll treat you to sushi today", Jungkook said when he had turned back to Taehyung, who took confused at the band-conveyor which was transporting the food. "Ah, here comes the egg...", Jungkook talked more to himself and took the plate. He took the white plate, which was the cheapest. Taehyung still didn't move and kept looking at the moving food. "Stuff you like hasn't come round yet?", Jungkook asked confused, looking worried at Taehyung, who's facial expression was still dark and angry.
"Damn it! Why is the sushi going around in circles?", Taehyung asked pissed, while Jungkook started eating happily. Then Taehyung saw something he liked and took a golden plate.
"OH MY!", Jungkook shouted full-mouthed and his eyes grew big, "Sea urchin? Sea urchin to start with?! Seonbae, that's the gold plate! It costs 1500 won! Students generally take the 500 won white plates."
But Taehyung didn't listen to Jungkook and used his chopsticks to eat the sea urchin from the rice roll. "Hmpf... it's so so", Taehyung spoke to himself and pushed the dry rice roll towards Jungkook, "Here! I'll give you the rest!"
Jungkook frowned and took the plate. He couldn't believe his eyes. Taehyung was being mean to him. Why should he eat the rice only? "Oh no!", Jungkook whined and Taehyung already gave him another plate where he ate the topping and left the rice over, "Why do you leave the rice only? You're just eating the top... Ah... a golden plate again! I want to eat sashimi too..." The whole dinner kept going on like this. Jungkook didn't know anymore what he should do and because Taehyung only took the high price plates, the younger one's money wasn't enough for all either. When they left the restaurant, Taehyung was walking along the street, which was crowded with people. Jungkook walked next to the older one, stomping frustrated besides Taehyung. "Seonbae, you're weird, with no common sense! I'll never treat you again!"
"What treat?", Taehyung encountered, "I was the one paying in the end! Do you normally enter a sushi restaurant with 10000 won only?"
"Usually it's enough for rotating sushi", Jungkook pouted, "You were acting strange, so I tried to..."
Taehyung stopped and looked at Jungkook, who was pouting and looked sadly down. "Could it be that even Jungkook was worried about me?", Taehyung thought while looking clearly at the younger one, "Why is everyone worrying about me?" Taehyung sighed and turned away. He didn't like that everyone was worrying about him. He didn't like that everyone was watching his doing so closely. Wasn't it his matter only?
"Seonbae?", Jungkook asked quietly and looked at Taehyung.
"It's not your place to worry about others. You'll be a senior next year, too. What are you doing after that?"
"What am I going to do?", Jungkook repeated the question and thought about it, then he smiled, "I plan to be a kindergarten teacher."
"So, you were serious about this..."
"Yes! Next year, I'll be busy with student-teaching and the like", Jungkook babbled happily and a bright smile formed his lips.
"Why?", Taehyung asked and turned to look at Jungkook again, "Just when I thought you were becoming more serious about the piano. Although it's sloppy, you can play it well! You could be perfect if you would be serious about it! Why don't you aim higher?" With every sentence Taehyung said he stepped closer to Jungkook, slowly trapping him on a building's wall until their faces were really close to each other. Suddenly Taehyung's face slowly moved closer to Jungkook's. Their lips almost touched as Taehyung's eyes grew big. "Ah", he suddenly thought and remembered the words of others, who told him to go abroad because he had such a talent, "If everyone things about me, like how I think about Jungkook, it's something to be grateful for and an honor." He moved back again and turned away, leaving Jungkook behind, whose face turned all red.
"Seon...Seonbae", Jungkook gulped nervously while observing Taehyung, who was deeply in thoughts, "You're really strange today." The younger one got really worried about Taehyung and laid his hand on the older one's forehead to check if Taehyung had a fever.
"It’s not a problem of not flying any more", Taehyung thought. Then he took Jungkook's hand down from his forehead and turned away, walking ahead with Jungkook following him.

The next day Taehyung and Jungkook walked together to the academy. While the whole walk Jungkook tried to hold Taehyung's hand but Taehyung always pushed the younger one's hand away. Whenever Jungkook couldn't hold Taehyung's hand, the boy hugged the older one's arm tightly. Taehyung didn't know why Jungkook was so clingy this morning, but it annoyed him. He liked when Jungkook was with him but yet Taehyung wasn't ready to get too close to the boy although he started to like him. Once again Jungkook was clinging on Taehyung's arm when they reached the areaway of the academy and Taehyung pushed Jungkook angrily away, telling the boy to give him a break. Then Taehyung turned around and suddenly Yoongi appeared in front of him, which his face being very close to Taehyung's. "You're too close", Taehyung said and stepped aside.
"Taehyung! I'm not giving up", Yoongi talked.
"Stop bugging me", Taehyung replied and pushed the other one aside to walk straight towards the building of the piano division.
"Taehyung-ssi", Jimin suddenly appeared and caught everyone's attention, "Good! I've been looking for you. Can we have a chat?"
Taehyung looked confused at the A-Group leader but nodded, while Jungkook and Yoongi just exchanged surprised looks. Yoongi nodded to Jungkook and the younger one nodded back. Slowly and carefully they were following Jimin and Taehyung, who had sat down on a bench to talk.
"Eh? You're going to graduate school too?", Taehyung asked confused after Jimin had told him about it.
"Actually, my plan was to go to England right away, but my teacher there will be busy with his own tour for a while", Jimin explained, "Well, it'll be a good opportunity to compete in competitions here."
"I see..."
"And there's one more thing I want do to", Jimin talked and turned to Taehyung, who looked curiously at the other one, "I want to create a dance crew with you."
"Huh?"
"Honestly, up until now I've had no interest in student dance crews. But playing with Jiyong seonsaengnim was exciting. Also your show review choreographing was quite exciting as well", Jimin told Taehyung, who was quite surprised, "Let's create a dance crew and perform together."
"Okay", Taehyung agreed without thinking about it, "No... I want to but..."
"If it's about getting other members, don't worry. Actually I've talked with students from other schools already, who I met at Berlin music festival", Jimin spoke and Taehyung listened carefully, "They're all quite excellent dancers, for example Kim Seokjin from Incheon Dance Academy, who won first prize in the German Dancing Internationals. He's in Korea right now. There are others still studying abroad or living in or around Seoul, but if you invite them, I think they'll come and join us."
"Huh? Me?"
"Of course", Jimin chuckled, "You are a superstar now. Didn't you see the poster of you and Jiyong in the newspaper?" Taehyung frowned because he didn't know about it and maybe didn't want to know about it either. "Well...", Jimin stood up from the bench and hold his hand to Taehyung, who stood up as well and shook Jimin's hand. So it was decided. Jimin and Taehyung would do another student's dance crew together. Then Jimin said goodbye and Taehyung looked after the leader for a moment.
"Taehyung!", Yoongi shouted and suddenly appeared behind Taehyung, "Please let me join, too! As long as it's yours, I want to join!"
Taehyung turned to Yoongi. "Okay, show me that you can enter A-Group on your next exam and I will let you join", Taehyung said.
Yoongi started smiling brightly and nodded. "Alright! Alright!", he agreed and thumbed up., before he was running off happily.
Taehyung chuckled over the view and then turned around to pick up his bag from the bench. He suddenly noticed Jungkook, who was sitting behind the bench and stared at Taehyung. "Geez! You gave me a fright!"
"You're making a dance crew, right?", Jungkook asked and Taehyung nodded. Maybe this was what Taehyung was looking for. Something he needed to do. His own path which he could follow to find happiness for himself.

On the evening of the day the S-Group was having their disbanding party at a restaurant, which Yoongi had reserved for the party since his father's restaurant wasn't big enough. Everyone was sitting on the ground at typical, small, Korean tables. Yoongi was standing in front of everyone, while all members looked at him. "On that note, I would like to propose a toast...", Yoongi shouted so that everyone could hear him and hold up his glass of beer, "To the seniors getting job offers and to the peaceful disbanding of S-Group. CHEERS!" Everyone was raising their glasses and started drinking and eating. It was loudly since everyone was talking crisscross. "Mascot!", Yoongi shouted and tried to catch Jungkook's attention until the younger one was looking at him, "Beer! Serve it!"
Jungkook nodded and took the beer to refill the other's glasses. "Namjoon hyungie, let’s have some more", Jungkook said and wanted to fill the blonde man's glass again, but Namjoon slapped Jungkook's hand so he messed the table up with beer. "Ow, that hurts!"
"Don't get carried away", Namjoon talked and looked seriously at Jungkook.
"What about?"
"I didn't know Taehyungie's going to graduate school!", Namjoon whined and started to dream off, while Jungkook returned to continue serving beer to the other members, "I thought for sure he'd go abroad. Yes, I'm glad that he's staying in Korea..."
"Could it be because Kookie is here?", Jungkook mentioned and smiled to himself.
"I'll kill you!"
"Ah! Hyung, since you don't have a job yet, how about staying in school one more year?", Jungkook babbled.
"I will kill you for sure!", Namjoon shouted and started pinching Jungkook's cheeks until they turned red, causing a huge tumult around them, because Yoongi and some other members tried to part them again.
After they had finished their dinner, the whole group entered a karaoke bar. They enjoyed themselves and enjoyed singing and dancing around. They cheered for those who sang until another song was chosen and someone else was singing. Suddenly a song started playing but nobody stood up for singing. "Hey, who put in this song?", Yoongi asked.
"Taehyung! Taehyung!", someone shouted. It was a boy, who wanted to play a prank on Taehyung together with his friend.
"Taehyung hyung is going to sing 'Gee' by SNSD!", the friend shouted and the girls started screaming.
Taehyung knew he didn't put in this song so he was confused. "I know this song", he told himself, so he could sing it without being totally embarrassed. He stood up and took the microphone, placing himself in front of the others who were watching him closely. Just at the moment Taehyung wanted to start singing, another member came and pushed him aside, telling each other that this was his theme song. Taehyung gave the other guy the microphone and stepped aside again. As soon as Taehyung had left the audience started throwing papers onto the guy, because everyone wanted to hear Taehyung.
Jungkook was drunken already. He was staggering to the toilet and entered a restroom, where he suddenly bumped into someone. "Whoops", Jungkook mumbled drunken and looked up, trying hard to stay straight, "Ohhhh! Im Jinah! What are you doing on the men's toilet?"
Suddenly the girl gave Jungkook a slap and while Jungkook ambled backwards, Jinah started laughing loudly. "Sorry", she laughed, "But this is the women's restroom and because you didn't address me probably that I did it without thinking..." She tried hard not to show that she had some too much drinks also. Then she looked at Jungkook, who had fallen onto his . "Hey... are you okay?", Jinah asked and leaned down to the boy, who suddenly jumped up and hugged Jinah's waist, leaning on her.
"Wow... you smell good", Jungkook babbled.
"Why is Taehyung going out with someone like this?", Jinah asked herself, while looking down to the boy, "That guy has a soft spot for these types of people I guess. But still I haven't accepted you yet."
After a while the others left the karaoke bar and moved to a games store. Once again the boys tried to play a prank on Taehyung since it didn't work at first. They started a game where Taehyung had to step on buttons on the ground. It was a dancing game. "Hey, Taehyung!", one of the boys shouted through the hall over to Taehyung, "Come here! Here's an interesting game! Try it. It's my treat."
"Dance master?"
"It should be easy for you since you are a choreographer, right?", the other boy mentioned and they started the song, while the friend shouted around that Taehyung was dancing now, so everyone was crowing around the game. The boys hoped badly for Taehyung to fail, because they wanted to use it to improve onto some girls.
"This song again", Taehyung said when the girl's song started playing. He was glad he knew it, although he wasn't sure about the dance. Again the other guy appeared and wanted to take over Taehyung's position but this time Namjoon came and pushed the boy aside.
"Taehyungie", he talked and turned to Taehyung, "All girl dances in this world are mine!"
"Ah... Alright", Taehyung said and the game started, when Namjoon was in position. He dances concentrated and although Taehyung saw Namjoon dancing already, he never saw him dancing to a girl's song. It looked like Namjoon put all his afford and strength into it.
"Today, please watch me Taehyungie", Namjoon whispered to himself while dancing and Taehyung looked impressed at the blonde man, "My feelings for these four years... this dance moves of love!" Namjoon sang along to the song and Taehyung smiled, while the others were cheering loudly on Namjoon. When Namjoon was done and got full score by the game all members were clapping for him, also Taehyung was clapping and smiled at Namjoon, who smiled sadly and suddenly started running away. "With this, I've graduated from S-Group...", Namjoon talked to himself and ran until he reached a small, empty, traditional Korean house, which was nearby, "...as was as from Taehyungie!" He crouched down in front of the house, hugging his knees and cried quietly to himself. Suddenly someone touched his shoulder and Namjoon looked up, with his eyes getting round, when he saw Taehyung.
"I'm...", Taehyung took a break before he started talking, "I'm making a new dance crew. Although it's not right to ask a person aiming to be a professional, would you be one of our hip hop dancers, whenever you can spare that time, Namjoon-ah?"
Namjoon stood up and looked at Taehyung. Then he smiled brightly and accepted. "YES!" Suddenly Namjoon fall around Taehyung's neck, hugging him tightly, while Taehyung just tried to push the blonde man away again. The other members appeared at the scene and surrounded the two of them, clapping and cheering.
"Hoseok", Yoongi said with a serious voice, while he and the other one were watching the scene from aside, "Starting tomorrow, practice as hard as you can!"
"Eh?", Hoseok didn't understand what Yoongi was talking about.
"Why don't we get into A-Group together!"
Then they all got together singing along, while Taehyung sat on a bench nearby and watched them from afar. "Awful!", Taehyung said but couldn't help to smile. When Taehyung looked to the left side, suddenly Jungkook appeared. He doesn't know how long Jungkook went missing, but Taehyung was glad that the younger one had found them again.
After a while they all said goodbye to each other and they parted into small groups because they all had to leave into another direction. Jungkook was waving after everyone, while he was having a hiccup from being drunken and when everyone was gone, he leaned onto Taehyung's shoulder.
"What have I been doing?", Jungkook asked and followed Taehyung, lurching next to the older one.
"How would I know?", Taehyung said and stopped, looking at Jungkook, "Hey, let's go to one more bar. But first let's go to an arcade!"
"All arcades are closed now...", Jungkook talked confused at the other one.
"In that case, let's go sing karaoke again."
"Eh? Did you like games and karaoke that much?"
"No I don't like them!!", Taehyung shouted annoyed and looked away, "But they always go in my way! I couldn't sing or play once. Everybody hates me."
"Seonbae, nobody hates you... Rather, they like you...", Jungkook spoke smiling and placed a sweet smack on Taehyung's cheek.

The next day a group of unknown students reached the academy. They stood at the entrance of the areaway and shortly stopped. Their looks wandered over the campus, which looked peaceful and pretty with the trees having their colorful crown. There weren't many students around yet, since it was still quite early.
"So this is Myeongdong Music Academy", one of the boys said and looked curiously around, "It looks like girls here are top-notch."
"Just don't mess up the dance crew by flirting with girls, alright?!", the boy next talked with a serious voice, "Right, Jin? He should hold it back this time!"
In front of the two stood the third one, who turned around to them and chuckled. "Shall we go now?", he smiled and they kept walking. They were curious about Korea's youngest and most talented choreographer, who was Kwon Jiyong's one and only pupil. Also they were curious about another academy and that they could get more experiences along with other students. They met with Taehyung and Jimin at the courtyard, which was still empty.
"Alright, I'm Park Jimin, being in charge for hip hop dancing", Jimin introduced himself to the new ones, then he pointed at the boys, who sat next to him, "This is Kim Seokjin from Incheon Dance Academy, Ahn Jihwan, from Daegu and last but not least Lee Wonjoon from Busan. And, finally, as you already know our choreographer, Kim Taehyung."
"Nice to meet you all", Taehyung said with a nod.
"Ah, I saw the oversized poster", Jihwan laughed and Taehyung felt awkward.
"I saw it too", Wonjoon mentioned, "Can you sign mine later?"
"First, let's discuss who to invite into our crew", Jimin interrupted them and handed everyone a piece of paper, "This is a loss of people I've contacted so far."
"Well I would like to have one dancer I want to recommend...", Taehyung started to talk and got the list, looking at it, he saw that Jimin and added Namjoon already. Taehyung looked over to Jimin, who just smiled at him.
"What is this?", Seokjin asked surprised, "There's already silent communication between the leader and the choreographer?"
"Huh?", Taehyung and Jimin said at the same time.
"Ah, looks like it will be fun", Jihwan mentioned and looked to his former crew mates, "Right?" They nodded to him while Seokjin was going over the list quietly.
At the same time Jihye and Kyeongah, Jungkook's classmates saw the newest information on the blackboard. It was about a lesson instructor change from the piano division. "Third year, Jeon Jungkook... new instructor... Choi Seunghyun...", Jihye read the paper out loud.
"That's mubuchae seonsaengnim, isn't it?", Kyeongah asked.
"Yes... Elite specialist..."
"Choi School", the girls said together and their head slowly moved to each other. This teacher for Jungkook? They couldn't imagine this. It could be funny or it would end badly.
Jungkook was in his piano room, waiting for his teacher, while playing with his hand puppet, as the door opened slowly. The man, who entered the room, was an unknown man for Jungkook. The student stood up and titled his head. "Um... I think you are in the wrong room", Jungkook said politely and the man smiled.
"I'm not in the wrong room. I'm your new instructor from today. I'm Choi Seunghyun. Nice to meet you", the man introduced himself and Jungkook just lays his head aside. He didn't knew this man, neither he knew about a new instructor.
