            “Home sweet home!” Vernon yelled as he walked out into the streets of time square. He hadn’t been home in over two years, and he was over joyed. It was as if he had been on cloud nine and forgot to take a certain someone with him. After a day of roaming through the streets with reminiscent memories, Vernon ended up on his front porch with some shopping bags and his backpack. He took out his key and unlocked his front door. It was quite dark inside, so he didn’t notice the figure waiting for him, sitting on the minimalist rocking chair.

            “Ahem.”

            Startled, Vernon drops his bags and swings around, “Holy sh-“

            “Don’t swear around me, Hansol.”

            “Cami…?” Vernon squints and is suddenly blinded by the lights that suddenly turn on, “Woah,” he rubs his eyes as if in a trance, “Heads up next time?”

            “Oh boohoo,” Cami gets up from the chair, “Do you see this, Choi?” He looks up, adjusting to the light change and then breaks out laughing. She takes off the party hat and places it on the table that had an array of his favorite sweets, “You see! This is why you can’t have nice things. You arrive late to your own surprise party!”

            “Aw, you did this for me?” He walks closer and takes a gummy worm from a bowl, before it reached his mouth; Cami grabbed it and placed it into her own mouth. He sighed and tried to reach for her hand, “Babe.” Pulling away, she retreated back to her seat, crossing her arms over her chest.

            “Um, if you haven’t noticed, I’m quite mad at you. So don’t go and ‘babe’ me with your little charming gestures, and your beautiful hair flip with that crooked smirk of yours. I’ll gladly crack your on the floor.” He smiled innocently, and took a step forward, “Choi. Stop. Right. There.” He proceeded to move towards her, “Oh, so, now you’re rebellious? Is that like what you earn when you become a kpop star, a rebellious attitude?” She got up right before he lunged for her, but she wasn’t quick enough and his arms found their way around her waist.

            “I’m only this stubborn when I’m around you.” He kissed her neck and she squirmed in his arms.

            “Thanks, but no thanks. I am still pissed.” Cami elbowed her boyfriend in the side and she stood up as he writhed in pain, “I planned this all out for you! We were supposed to do so many things today, and it’s the only day this whole week that we will be able to see the sun so high in the sky. It’s going to be raining the whole day tomorrow.” She whined with her shoulders slouched and her left foot planted in the ground.
