Thirty Seven - The Protect
I Miss YouThirty Seven – The Protect
Jongin’s point of view
She was just looking to the window while her hair was touched by the summer breeze. Looking from the rear mirror, I could saw her blank eyes and it’s not just blank, it’s also sad. Miyoung is a really easily attached kind of girl, and she will not easily let anything on her hand go.
Just like how she attached to me at that time even though I made her hurt again and again.
And Mark, they promised to each other to Skype everyday when they both are not busy. Long distance relationship is not easy, but I believe Mark and Miyoung can go through it.
“Jongin…”
“Yes?”
“It’s been a long time since the last time you drive me home.”
“When we were still together.” I added, and smiled.
“At that time I thought we’re really going to end up with each other, and I can’t believe right now we both love different people.”
When she talked about the old days, I could see her smiling and it made me feel relieved because at least, I had made good memories with her even though there are also bad memories.
Our life path is so unexpected, because we both have known each other for the longest time and we both were athletes. We had spent time together and it’s almost more than half of our age. We had experienced to love each other, being in ups and downs together and even we were on some scandals – including the tape ones.
And right now in our twenties, we both separated and love different people. A stranger that suddenly moved to our school, that we didn’t even know for a long time. That we hadn’t spent time together but we ended up being a couple.
Mark and Ahyoung.
“I’m happy that you’ve found Mark.”
“I’m also happy that you’ve found Ahyoung.”

Ahyoung’s point of view
“I’m sorry I have to cancel our date – again – because I have some revisions – again.”
Jongin was just standing in front of me, sighing. “It’s okay, we can set another date on another day.”
Sigh. I still can’t be used to this understanding boyfriend version of Jongin. If it was the old him, he would break everything if I canceled the date on the last minute. But right now, he was just smiling to me.
He looked around, “But your room is so messy. It’s even messier than boy’s room, Ahyoung.”
“I have to finish this maquette and all – and when I got home, I feel so tired that I can’t do anything anymore. This is so tiring, why did I even choose architecture?” I packed my drawing tools to my back, preparing to meet the professor. “And what are you doing tonight, babe?”
It’s been a long time since the last time we met properly and talked to each other. Because I’m still extremely busy and I’m really at time managing. So everything is basically a mess. I really miss him.
“Going to the club, I think. Since there’s nothing I can do tonight.”
The old Jongin would repeat the words ‘because you cancelled our date’ many times. But the new Jongin didn’t mention it even once.
“Can you… can you not? Can you go to another place or just… stay at home?”
“Okay, I’m not going to the club. It’s not fun anymore anyway.”
Wow. The old Jongin would ask me ‘why’ and ‘whatever I’m still going to the club and you can’t stop me!’. But the new Jongin didn’t even protest.
“Do you want me to drive you to… whenever you’re
