Day 12
Getting to Know YouRoffy woke up with cramps and groaned. Of course. Just because the last week had gone by blissfully doesn’t mean that nature wasn’t catching up to her. She shifted and felt the whoosh of unwanted liquid between her legs. She sighed and trudged to the bathroom. When she checked in her drawers, she let out an annoyed moan. Of course she would be out of pads.
She took a shower to make herself feel somewhat clean again and resorted to using tissue for now. She’ll stop by the grocery store after work and buy some pads, and maybe some chocolate milk while she was at it. Might as well spoil herself. She deserved it.
Yongguk was downstairs and she gave him a grumpy grunt when he said good morning. “Someone’s in a bad mood today.” He slid a cup of milk in front of her.
“Ugh. Regular milk. What does a girl have to do to get some chocolate milk in her life,” she grumbled.
“Duly noted,” he commented. “Now what has traded in my princess for Grumpy today?”
“Things you would never, ever understand, even if I kicked you in the nuts ten times over.”
Yongguk winced. “Doubt it. But I get your drift. Alright, do you want to take a day off?”
“No. If that were the case, I’d be home for an entire week every month.”
“Okay. Do you want me to drive you then? I don’t really need to go into the studio. We already recorded. I just need to go over some sound tracks. I have time.”
“Nah. I can drive myself.”
“You sure?”
She slammed the finished cup on the counter. “Look, I’m off. Stop badgering me.” He gave her a look and Roffy grabbed her keys and left.
Work was a long day. She had to deal with patients who lacked patience and realized that nobody at work had spare pads. The entire world was determined to keep her from feeling comfortable. Her scrubs were also lavender purple and she was forever paranoid that when she stood, the blood would flow a bit too quickly and stain it.
Her shift ended late because of a guy who refused to take his medication and she drove straight home, only thinking of a hot shower and her bed. When she got home, she smacked her head. Of course she forgot to get pads. The most important thing and it slipped her mind.
Roffy turned to go when something on the coffee table caught her attention. She saw a grocery bag and peered in. There was a box of pads, Maxi and nighttime without wings (thank goodness), and a note. I went to the studio and turns out we need to rerecord so I’ll be home late. There’s a pile of romcoms for you to watch to make yourself feel better. I recommend “Pretty Woman.” Julia Roberts is a classic. There’s also a surprise in the fridge. Love you, and I’ll join if you’re still up when I get home. –Gukkie
She smiled and still holding onto the note, walked to the kitchen. In the refrigerator was a glass of what looked like a chocolate milk shake with drizzles. dropped open when she saw the tiny placard next to it.
For your drinking pleasure. There are instructions to make more if you want!
She took the glass, and walked back to the couch. She flipped through the movie choices, picked the one he suggested, and decided she was going to wait until he got home as a way of apologizing for being crabby to him. Roffy inhaled deeply and glanced at where Sniffles was sleeping. Life couldn’t be better.
Thank goodness I asked. I put with wings at first :P
