Back to the proposal night

“I hate you…I hate you…I hate you…” seeing those words coming out from Jiyoon mouth,

Gayoon heart was broken into millions of pieces. She didn’t know what to do, her whole body just froze on the spot. She didn’t know Jiyoon was there, she was going to talk to Doojoon right after the supper, she was going to tell Doojoon to break up, she just didn’t want to reject him in front of so many people. She had decided to break up with Doojoon once and for all, but she didn’t expect Jiyoon to be there.

Doojoon nudge Gayoon and turn her around to see that Gayoon eyes were teary. Then some people were screaming:”Awww she’s so touch that she’s crying!! Kiss her Kiss her Kiss her!” which made Doojoon smile.

She holds Gayoon closer to her and presses his lips on her, but Gayoon was too stunned to react to anything. Later on that night, Gayoon kept texting Jiyoon but there were no reply, she called Jiyoon, it automatically went into her voicemail. Gayoon left tons of voicemails saying that’s not what she thinks it is, please call her. She started to drink, she doesn’t know what to do, all she has in mind is to reach Jiyoon so she just kept drinking and drinking until she lost conscious. Doojoon drove her back to his house and let her sleep there for the night. He was happy that Gayoon accepted his sudden proposal; he can’t wait to marry her.

The next day, Gayoon opened her eyes with an immense headache. After a while, she finally recalls what happened yesterday and jump out of bed, driving right away to their apartment. As she get into her apartment, all of Jiyoon belonging was gone.

She gets into her car and drove to Hyuna place, she kept ringing the doorbell but there were no one. She starts hitting the door which woke the neighbours up.

“Yah! What time do you think it is in the morning?!”

Gayoon just ignored them and kept slamming the door:”OPEN PLEASE!! HYUNA! JIYOON!! LET ME EXPLAIN!!”

“They left early this morning”

Gayoon turn around and look at the woman:”What…do you mean?”

“This morning they gave the key back to the landlord and carried all their luggage away”

“What…..?” Gayoon was petrified

“Yeah,  Mrs.Kim even gave the rest of the year payment to the landlord…”

“Where’s…the landlord…?”

“She’s in the office right now”

Gayoon quickly ran down to the main office:”Are you the landlord?”

“Yes…and you are?”

“Did Mrs.Kim really left?”

“Oh…you must be Mrs. Heo?”

“Yes…I am…”

“They said that Mrs.Heo would be coming here and ask me to give you this letter. Here you go”

Gayoon took the letter and look at it, right away recognizing Jiyoon beautiful handwriting. As she opened the letter, as she read the letter, her tears didn’t stop falling…everything was…truly over…

Every day, as I wake up, you were the first person in my mind

Every night, before I go to sleep, you were the last person in my mind

Since the day I met you, my eyes has turn blind

Because you were the only existence in my mind.

I don’t know how it happen, I slowly fell for you

I would look forward to see you, to talk to you.

Even though, you always act all cold and tough,

I know deep down you are just shy.

It didn’t stop me from coming close to you,

Everytime I do some silly trick,

You would slowly giggle but try to hide it,

But that little angel smile is what make my day.

I told myself, I will always be by your side,

Protecting you and helping you.

I told myself, your happiness

Is my happiness.

The day we decided to move in together,

You have no idea how happy I was,

Just the thought of being able to wake up by your side,

Just the thought of being able to sleep by your side,

Just the thought of seeing you every morning,

Just the thought of seeing you every night,

I could die of happiness.

Do you remember the time we laugh together?

Do you remember the time we cry together?

Do you remember the time we argue at each other?

Do you remember?

Do you remember what we promise to each other?

We promise to never lie to each other,

We promise to tell each other everything,

We promise we will always be there for each other.

Tears was coming down from Gayoon face by reading the first page, afterward she sees a second page which consist of a letter. She hold the sheet tight and started to read it.

“Dear Gayoon,

                How long has we known each other? More than 2 decades... Time sure has passed fast. I’m not sure what am I suppose to write to you. But, by the time you opened this letter, everything has been settle, you won’t be able to find me anymore. Our friendship, our sisterly love and my first love….everything has come to an end.

I am sorry Gayoon, I am sorry that I have to break our promises. I can’t stay beside you anymore…I know I’ve been terrible to you to make you chose between me and Doojoon. I’m sorry that I confess to you, if only I didn’t show it to you, if only we could go back in time, none of this would have happen, we would have still being best friend, smiling and crying together.

I wish you forever happiness with Doojoon, I’m sorry that I won’t be attending it.

Please do me a favor, don’t come search for me, please forget about me. Our memories together must only bring you pain.

Hyuna hold Jiyoon hand and stare at her:"Thank you for coming with me, I promise everything will be different..."

Jiyoon nod and smiled at her:"Yes...a new beginning...of us..."

As the flight take off, both Jiyoon and Gayoon stare out of the window: "Good bye..."
