Chapter 29
A LITTLE FALL OF RAIN
Hyun Ae waited outside the SM Entertainment office for Jaejoong to come out.
She wasn’t supposed to be there but she decided to meet Jaejoong for their planned dinner together. She finished her sched that day earlier and she has nothing else to do. So instead of waiting at home for Jaejoong, she decided to wait for him outside SM.
She was waiting for him for almost an hour already but he’s not coming out yet.
But he can’t blame him for he doesn’t know that she’s outside of the building waiting.
It should be a surprise, she thought.
She was patient enough to stand at the other corner.
Standing from a distance, she could see female fans sitting and waiting too.
She could see how eager they are to wait for their favorite artists to come or see them leave the building.
Then something came up in her mind.
She shouldn’t be there waiting for Jaejoong.
With those girls powerful cameras, they would be spotted and be an issue around the internet blog world.
“Another scandal.” She cursed under her breath.
She doesn’t want Jaejoong’s career be jeopardized again.
One more thing is that there’s really nothing special going on between them.
Plain friendship.
That’s all.
She then decided to walk away from the building.
She’ll just call Jaejoong later.
First, she has to find a better spot to wait for him.
She was walking down the street away from the building when her phone rang.
She continued walking as she received the call.
It was Jaejoong who was looking for her.
She looked around to spot a good place where Jaejoong could meet her.
She smiled when she saw a bus stop.
She then told him that she’ll wait there for him.
But before the call ended she could hear a screeching sound of a car near her direction.
With fast reflexes, she quickly moved to the side to avoid the car but still she got out balanced and fell.
“Damn!” She cursed as she fell on the pavement.
The man driving on the car went out and checked her.
But instead of asking pardon, he snarled at her.
“Yah! Are you blind? If you wanna die, don’t use the streets.”
She stood up and dusted herself.
She glared at the man, holding her fury.
She breathed in and out so to calm her nerves.
She was about to answer the man when someone else went out of the car.
“Manager.”
The man said in a low tone.
She felt her heart tremble as she recognized the voice.
She was right.
It was him.
“Donghaeyah…” she whispered.
She couldn’t even open to speak more.
It’s been months since he last saw him.
“Donghae ssi. I’m just teaching this woman a lesson.” The other man told Donghae.
“No need. We are going to be late.”
Donghae then turned at her and spoke.
“Mianhamnidda arassi.”
With that the man went into the car as he was told.
Donghae glanced at her and turned around to get into the car.
‘What? Why? He looks like he doesn’t even recognize her.
What the hell is happening here?’ She asked herself.
She felt like she was some kind of a disease that has to be avoided.
And his silence pierced her heart.
“Donghaeyah!” She finally screamed.
Donghae stopped walking and turned around for her.
She could see those familiar eyes again.
And she missed him so much.
That it hurts to know that he just ignored her like that.
When Donghae looked at her she was speechless.
He wasn’t talking still.
He just looked at her blankly.
She stopped breathing with the kind of look he’s giving her.
She doesn’t know why, but it was hurting her.
She couldn’t open for another word.
Donghae was standing in front of her.
She wanted to say so many things but then none of these came out.
Donghae waited for her to speak.
But she couldn’t.
Few seconds passed and still she couldn’t say a word.
Donghae finally turned his back and went into the car.
All she could do is to watch him get into that car and go.
She felt his heart in so much pain then.
She stood at the bus stop staring on the street.
She couldn’t believe she just saw him again.
Saw him again but with that kind of coldness.
She’s not even sure that he recognized her.
She hasn’t changed a bit.
Her hair is the same.
She still wears that old pair of pants and that faded shirt.
Why is he like that? She continued asking herself.
From nowhere, somebody then grabbed her wrist and pulled her.
It was only then that she went back to her senses.
“Jaejoong.” She gasped as she saw the face of the man who pulled her.
“C’mon. Cameras might catch us.”
