Jaejoong clenched his fist as he just finished conversing with Donghae on the phone.
He did what Hyun Ae asked him - to call Donghae and ask him to come.

He went back to Hyun Ae’s room and there he meets Hyun Ae’s eyes smiling.

“Thank you.” She spoke.

He just nodded.

He doesn’t want to call Donghae nor make him come to the hospital.
But Hyun Ae wanted to. She said she has to talk to him. She has to clear things up.

He stood beside Hyun Ae who was attended by the nurse.

The blood transfusion just ended.

“Tell me if you feel anything like difficulty in breathing, itchiness, lower back pain or anything which makes you feel uncomfortable. We are still monitoring for any allergic reactions after the transfusion.” The nurse told her.

“Ok. I’ll tell you right away.” Hyun Ae answered.

“But I really doubt it because the blood was from a person who is so kind.” She continued and smiled at Jaejoong.

Jaejoong smiled back and felt so happy with what he just heard.


“Still tell me in case there is any.” The nurse just nodded and smiled.

“Excuse me Nurse Rea, Dr. Oh is looking for you at the station.” They heard a lady called the nurse from the door.

“Ok.” The nurse answered and went with the lady.

Jaejoong followed the nurse to say thank you and to close the door.
It wasn’t intentional but he heard the nurses talking as they walked away.

“They really look so good together.” The lady told the nurse.
“Yeah, she’s so lucky Youngwoong Jaejoong is her boyfriend. She must be very happy.” The nurse answered.


No… I’m luckier because I’m with her.

He couldn’t help but to feel happy with what he heard.
The people around them think that that they are an item.

He closed the door and went back to Hyun Ae.

“Thank you.” Hyun Ae once more said. She reached for his hand to hold it.

“Please stop thanking me over and over again.”

“Why? I’m really just happy and grateful for what you did.”

“I know. Just thank me later when you’re all fine. Ok?”

She smiled as her ‘yes’ to him.

“For now, just rest. Sleep well. Ok. And from now on, take care of your body. Remember my blood runs in your veins now.” He was like teasing her.

“Araso. Youngwoong.” She said holding the blanket Jaejoong was covering her body.

Jaejoong stopped at what he’s doing and stared at her.

“What? What did you call me?”

“Youngwoong.”

“What?”

“Young… woong... Well you really are a hero.”

“It’s just it was the first time that you called me that.”

“Besides being your stage name, it really suits you. You’re a hero.”

His heart stopped beating hearing her say it.
She never fails to make him happy with just words.

“Go to sleep now.” He continued placing the blanket well.

He saw Hyun Ae closing her eyes.
He took a seat beside Hyun Ae and watched her.

Even if you don’t want me too.

Hyun Ae woke up with the ray of sunlight on her face.
She wanted to stretch her arms, but she felt her shoulder aching.

She then remembered her injury the previous night.
She sighed.

She doesn’t want it to happen but it somewhat brought her something good.

She finally was able to say that she wasn’t the one who killed his father.

She looked at his side. Jaejoong was holding her hand.
She reached for the hair that was covering his face.

She wanted to see his face.

She smiled seeing his face.

This man who knew that she’s been plotting to kill him before.

She was reflecting when suddenly Jaejoong held her hand that was touching his face.

“Do I look handsome when I sleep?”

She almost fell off the bed because of her surprise.

“I woke up when I felt something is touching my hair and face.”

She blushed.

Jaejoong just caught her.

She tried not to show her blushing face and moved away.

She moved off the bed but then Jaejoong held a grip of her hand.

“Where are you going?”

“Bathroom…” she quickly answered.

Besides she really wanted to go to the bathroom and fix herself.
Later, she’ll be having a visitor.

“But you’re not well.”

“I’m fine.”

“You’re really stubborn.”

“But not as stubborn as you are.”


Jaejoong laughed. She was right.

She was just like him too.


Helping her to the bathroom, Jaejoong stood outside its door so to help her with her needs.

“Aren’t you done yet?” Jaejoong asked.

“Almost.”


Hyun Ae changed into another hospital gown.
She wanted to look at least better so that Donghae won’t see her just to feel guilt.
She wanna look fine and not sick.

She then went out of the bathroom.
Jaejoong helped her walk to the bed.

She sat on the bed comfortably while Jaejoong prepared her a sandwich.
He passed it on her and she took a bite from it.

Some of the sandwich spread was left beside her lips and Jaejoong wiped it with his thumb.

She was silent for a moment.

She looked at him. His smile faded.
All that’s left is his eyes staring at her.
She couldn’t read it.

She too was confused.

Slowly Jaejoong’s face went down on her.
She is alarmed.
She thinks she knew where it would possibly lead.
Her heart is beating so fast.
She couldn’t think.

Should I kiss him? Or should I snap this already? She told herself.

She doesn’t know what to do.

All she knew is that Jaejoong’s lips already touched hers.


It was sudden and she couldn’t even react to it.

She looked at his eyes.
She knew he had so many things to say.

But nothing came out from them.

As she looked at Jaejoong, she noticed him looking at her back.
Just a while ago his face was full of passion and comfort.

But suddenly, she noticed his eyes flaming in anger.

She looked behind to see what he’s been looking at.

She was silent. She couldn’t move.

“Do… Donghaeya?”
