The rain is pouring badly.
The cold is brushing his face as well as Hyun Ae’s. Her face and lips noticeably become pale.

“Hyun Aeya! Hyun Ae!” He cried.

Hyun Ae opened her eyes slowly.
Donghae is holding her tight.
She felt his guilt. It is written all over his face.

And there were his tears.

She tried so hard to speak.
“Don’t worry….oppa, I…I’m fine…I don’t… feel….. any pain.” she said gasping for air.

She smiled weakly at him. She doesn’t want him to worry.
She felt her eyelids getting heavier each second. She couldn’t open them.

“Don’t sleep, Hyun Ae! Just look at me! Just look at me!”

He wasted no time. He ran in the rain holding Hyun Ae tightly in his arms.

“I can’t lose you! I’m not gonna lose you!” Donghae kept on saying.



He then opened his car and placed Hyun Ae on the back seat lying.
He drove so fast to reach the hospital.

“I’m sorry Hyun Ae… I’m so sorry..”

Jaejoong was woken up by a call.
He doesn’t know but he really felt anxious right at the very moment.

He looked at the screen of his cellphone and saw the caller’s name.

Virgo…..

“BOSS!” Virgo almost yelled.

“Spill it out.”

“Hyun Ae, Hyun Ae’s in the hospital.”

“WHAT?! WHY?”

Virgo didn’t answer him immediately.

“Tell me! What is she doing in the hospital?”

Virgo could feel Jaejoong's fury.
He’s sure that if they were talking face to face, Jaejoong might have hit him already.

“Donghae… Donghae shot her…”

Jaejoong was silent for a second. He tried to absorb the news.

“You stupid bunch of idiots! I told you to watch over her 24/7! But still she got hurt!”

He then quickly changed into his pants and sweatshirt and grabbed his carkeys.

He wanted to see Hyun Ae. More than that he wanted to shoot Donghae twice more than what the latter did to Hyun Ae.

“Hyun Aeya! Hyun Aeya!” Donghae kept on crying.
He watched her being attended by the medical team in the ER.

His body is soaked with blood. His hands were bathed with the same too.

“Sir. Please stay on that side.” The nurse told him.

He cupped his face as he followed what the nurse told him.
He is deeply regretting what happened – on what he had done to Hyun Ae.

“Mianhe oppa. Mianhe. I didn’t tell you… I’m scared.”

Her voice kept repeating on his head.

“I…. I didn’t kill…… your…….. father…..I…swear….. I….. didn’t kill….. him.”

He broke down again.
He felt like he’s going crazy seeing Hyun Ae like that.

I hurt her. What have I done?
I love her with all of my life.

“Mianhe Hyun Ae… Mianhe.”
 

All of a sudden, a man’s voice caught everyone’s attention.

“HYUN AE! HYUN AE!”

He looked at the entrance and there was Jaejoong going in of the Emergency room.
Jaejoong looked at every patient on each cubicle searching for Hyun Ae.

Donghae stood up seeing him.

“H….Hyung…” Donghae called.

Jaejoong looked at Donghae. He suddenly flared up and punched him at the face as he reached him.

Donghae fell on the floor. Luckily he was able to carry his weight with the support of his elbow.

Donghae stood up looking so lost. He was regretting everything that happened.
That punched serves him right, he thought.

Virgo quickly held Jaejoong’s arm to stop further violence from Jaejoong.
A lot of people are watching.
They can’t afford to make another problem from the reporters.

“Mianhe… Mianhe…” Donghae said. He was crying too.

“Sorry? You’re sorry?” Jaejoong yelled at him.

He then took a grip of Donghae’s collar.

“If anything happens to her, I swear! I‘ll kill you! I’ll kill you with my bare hands!”

Jaejoong then pushed him to the wall as he releases his grip.

He ran to Hyun Ae who was still being attended by the ER Staff.


Finally the doctor went near them and explained Hyun Ae’s condition.

“How is she doctor?” Jaejoong eagerly asked.

“She’s fine now. We just removed the bullet from her shoulder. The bone on her upper back was injured but it will heal soon. All we need is blood transfusion. She lost so much blood from the injury. After that, well check her blood count and if it’s fine then all she needs is to recuperate.”

“I’ll donate my blood doctor! We’re both type O.” Jaejoong quickly said.

Everyone was surprised with Jaejoong’s words.
But amongst everyone there, only Donghae felt jealousy.
He was type A. He couldn’t give his blood even if he wanted to.

“We have stocks of Type O positive from our blood bank. You really don’t have to do that.” The doctor told him.

“If it would be a fresh blood then it would be much better right?” Jaejoong reasoned out.

“Yeah right. According to the studies, the fresher the blood, the better.”

Jaejoong smiled and felt a bit relief.

But for Donghae, Jaejoong seems like a hero to her. And he felt jealous about that. Unlike him, all he did was to hurt Hyun Ae.



Tests were run and finally Jaejoong’s blood was extracted and was transfused to Hyun Ae.

Hyun Ae woke up with Jaejoong beside her.
He was holding her hand tightly.

She smiled looking at him.

“Jae….” She whispered.

Jaejoong was sleeping. He looked so tired yet he still looked so handsome.
She touched his face and smiled again.

“Jae…” she whispered again.

Suddenly a man’s voice took her attention.

“Don’t wake him up Nyx.”

It was Virgo. He was at the door.

“Virgo…”

“He just gave you his blood. You lost so much because of what Donghae had done to you!”

She was surprised of what Virgo told her. She gazed up to the IV stand beside her. There was a bag of blood with a tube connected to her right hand.

His blood is helping her body.

She then looked at Jaejoong who was slowly waking up.

“Why… why did you do that?”

“I’m fine. You needed blood. I just gave you mine.”

He looked at her smiling.
Her heart was touched with his kindness.

“You’re not well. You just came from an injury too.”
She said with so much worry in her voice.

“Besides that, there’s a lot of blood that I could use….”

Jaejoong then placed his index finger on Hyun Ae’s lips.

“Ssshhh… I want my blood to save you. I want to protect you…Hyun Aeya.”

She sighed.

“Why? Why are you doing this?”

“I just want to. Hyun Aeya, I….”

“Thank you, thank you Jaejoong.” She held his hand and kissed it.
She then gazed around. She was looking for someone.

“Where’s, where’s Donghae?”

Jaejoong then felt irritation just hearing that man’s name.

“Why are you looking for that bastard? HE ALMOST KILLED YOU!”
Jaejoong voice was filled with anger.

“I… I just want to see him. Please Jaejoong ssi.”
