She didn’t realize tears running down her cheeks.

Why is she crying for this man?
For the man who killed her father.
Why is she trying to save this man?
She should be happy seeing him bleeding like this.
Why is she worried to death?
When just awhile ago she badly wants him dead?
She didn’t know why.
And she bothered not to find the answer anymore.
She’s scared to know.

“Jaejoong hold on! You bastard don’t die yet!”

Jaejoong was still unconscious. She never let go of him.
She held him tightly.
She kept trying still to make the bleed at least stop.

Another minute came and she heard a siren coming into the area.
The ambulance finally arrived.
She doesn’t know but she felt a bit relieved.
She then screamed for help. She did it also to help the medical staffs to find them.

Help was fast and in another minute they are at the hospital.

She wants to stay with Jaejoong and see how he will be treated but the nurse immediately took her and have her seated on another area of the emergency room.
She was checked by a physician and was asked how she is feeling.

She answered every question but she wasn’t looking at the physician.
She was busy looking at the door of the room where the staffs took Jaejoong.

She doesn’t want to get examined. She felt that it was something unnecessary.
She’s more interested to know what happened to Jaejoong.

“Doctor, I’m fine. You don’t have to check me.”
She said and then went off to know what’s happened to Jaejoong.

Seeing a staff coming out of the room where Jaejoong was took, she immediately asked what’s happened to him.

“Are you related to the patient?” the staff asked when she approached him.
“Yes, I was with him. Tell me how he’s doing!”
“He was sent immediately to the Operating room to remove the bullet in his lung.”
“What? My God! Is he gonna be fine?”
“It’s a quite delicate procedure. I cannot assure you.”

She felt her knees weaken.
She’s trembling because of what she heard.

Jaejoong...

She waited at the bench outside the Operating Room.
It’s been an hour that Jaejoong was inside there.
It wasn’t like her, but she’s praying for Jaejoong.

“Nyx!” She suddenly heard someone called her.
“Virgo…” She said as she saw the man almost running to her.

“What happened?”
“He was… he was shot….”
“Who did this?”
“I... I don’t know.”
“Don’t worry well figure this out soon.”
“The police, they’re asking so much. I did not answer any of them yet, I’m scared I might spill out some details.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll answer them. Just stay here with Jaejoong.” Said Virgo and then left towards the door leading to the hallway where the police were staying.

She was thankful that Virgo was there to help her. She’s thinking a lot of things and having the police around made her more anxious.

After all, she’s a suspect of Donghae’s father death.

She sighed.
There are so many problems facing her now.

After two more hours, Jaejoong was moved to the post anesthesia care unit. She asked the nurse if she could see him even through the window.
The nurse then allowed her to see him through the glass window across the room.

She cried more seeing him with all the tubes attached to him. He was attached to the ventilator. There were chest tubes attached to his side and draining to bottles. There are many monitoring machines attached to him too.

He was unconscious still.

“Jaejoong…” She felt so guilty seeing him.
“I should’ve been there…not you.”

After few more minutes, the nurse told her that the viewing time was over and that she has to leave and wait on the room where Jaejoong will be brought after being monitored in the pacu.

She then went to the room and waited.
After few more minutes the door was opened. She immediately stood up thinking that it was Jaejoong being transported to the room, but it’s not.

It was Virgo.

“Uh, I thought it was him.” She said as she went back to her seat again.
“You don’t really care for him that much, do you?” Virgo said as he went into the room and took a seat.
“He’s our boss. We should care.” She formally said.

Virgo just nodded with what she said. It looks like he’s not believing her.

“You go home now. I’ll be watching over him.” Virgo said.
“No, I’ll be staying here.”
“Ok, do what you want. I’ll just send you clothes for you to change. You can use the shower in this room.”
“I know. Thank you.”

“And you don’t have to worry about the police, they’ll be staying away from this. I talked to the doctors too. They’ll be shutting their mouths off. I also informed SM about what happened to him. I told them it was all accident. They must not know a single idea that somebody is threatening Jaejoong’s life.”

She suddenly cut off Virgo’s words.

“It was me that the gun man wants to be dead…. He just… saved me.”

Virgo looked at her.

“What did you say?”

“He saved me. The bullet was for me.”

“Who would want you dead? Who would have the capacity of doing that?”

She closed her eyes.

Who would do that to me? Who would try to kill me?

Suddenly an image of a man went into the picture….

Donghae?
Did you try to kill me? Do you already know I’m Nyx?

She left with so many questions. Did Donghae really tried to kill her?
If he’s not, then who would want her dead?

It must really be him.

After few more hours, Jaejoong was finally transported to the room.
He was considered out of danger already.
The ventilator was not indicated to him already.
Still he was sleeping.

She stayed beside Jaejoong and never left her seat. Everytime she looks at him, it makes her cry.

Suddenly the door went open.
She gazed up to see who just went in.
Four men quickly ran towards Jaejoong.

His friends… Yunho, Changmin, Junsu and Micky.

“What happened to him?” Yunho asked.
“It was an accident, the doctors said he’s fine now.” She said.

“Wait… who are you by the way?” Junsu asked.

She gulped. She doesn’t know how to answer them.

“I’m…”

“She’s my girlfriend.”

She heard someone just answered.
She looked at Jaejoong and he was smiling at her.

“Oppa…”
She was so happy seeing him awake now.

“What? Girlfriend?” She heard them almost talking in chorus.

She was silent. She doesn’t know if she’ll cut him off with what he’s saying.
She then remembered Jaejoong’s mom and sister.

So this is why he’s doing this. Her mom and sister will surely come.

“Why didn’t we know?” Said Yunho.
“Yah! How could you not tell us about her?” Said Changmin who sounded so jealous.
“I was supposed to tell you before this happened.”

“What exactly happened to you?” Micky asked again.

“I fell down the stair and a sharp stick punctured my back.” Jaejoong answered.

“Hyung, you should be more careful! Look what happened to you!” said the youngest Changmin.

They were discussing more. She was obliged to introduce herself too.

She realized how nice the other boys are.
They looked so concerned with their hyung.
And it made her like them too.

Another hour came, a bunch of guys came almost running inside the room.
She looked up to see who just came.

She swallowed seeing each boys coming inside the room.
The good thing is that the room is quite big enough to support the volume of people coming in.

She felt her heart just stabbed as he looked at her.
Donghae looked at her too.
She could see how surprised he is seeing her there.

“You knew each other?” asked Junsu.
“Uh, yeah.” She answered.

“So might as well know that she’s Jaejoong hyung’s girlfriend?” said Changmin.

She wanna cover Changmin’s mouth before he uttered what he just said.
She doesn’t know but she felt bad after Donghae heard it.

She could see Donghae’s expression as he looked at her.
She’s not scared of him. If he really was the one who tried to kill her, still she’s not afraid.
She still chose to believe that he’s the one who tried to kill her.
She has no evidence at all.

Feeling the tension building up inside the room, she quickly moved out and walked away from the room.

She’ll just come back if all the boys have left already, she thought.
She went to the chapel where she thought was safe for her to stay.

But just as she kneeled down to pray, she heard someone just talked.

“So, that’s why you can’t accept me, it’s because of Jaejoong hyung.
I never figure that before.”

She was stunned at her seat. She knew that voice so well. It’s … Donghae.
