Description
Myungsoo has nothing left.
Hoya has everything around him.
"I'll do anything for you. As long as you stay alive."
"Anything? Be careful with what you say, hyung..."
Foreword
Myungsoo stands behind the rooftop barrier. From that place he stands right now, he can feel the night breeze, creeps out to his pale skin. He smiles, because it’s cold. But the weird thing is, he likes it. The quiet and freezing sensation from the night view in front of him.
Hoya runs as fast as he can. He doesn’t care that he’s out of breathe, he just run. And he needs to run faster. Behind him, Bora also following. Both run through the emergency stairs. Hoya can feel his heart beats like crazy. He’s terrified and his mind starts imagining the worst thing. No please…no…
Myungsoo starts to move forward. Just a few steps. Then it will be done. He can’t remember how long it takes for him to gather this kind of courage. Myungsoo’s hands grip onto the barrier. Slowly he can feel the cold metal on his palms. Then he climbs up the barrier. The moment his feet step outside it, it feels different. Myungsoo laughs a little. So this is how it feels like…
Just a few more floor. Hoya keeps running upstairs, while Bora starts to tear up. It’s hard to run while crying. Both are scared. Imagining what might happen.
Now Myungsoo can see it. People. Down there. The night view. Skyscrapers buildings. The night breeze. He blinks a few times because the lights from those building is blinding. He spreads his arms to feel all of it. The wind, freedom, night sky. For the last time. Indeed, it feels like flying. Myungsoo doesn’t realize when a single tear drops from his eyes. Just one more step. And he will be free. Free from life. I’m sorry…
Hoya and Bora see the door that will leads them to the rooftop. They both rush toward it. Hoya grips into the doorknob and open it. The rooftop, they arrived. Bora looks around the moment they step into rooftop. He’s there. Myungsoo! Hoya shouts…and run
Myungsoo is ready. To take the last step. He already puts down everything. He’s taking a deep breathe and smile. He’s welcoming the freedom. But he hears someone shouts his name. The familiar voice. He turns around and finds those two.
Hoya runs in the lightning speed towards Myungsoo. The latter looks shocked. While Bora just watch them with an extremely worried reaction. Hoya reach Myungsoo’s hand and pull it. Myungsoo tries to avoid it, but Hoya is stronger. He falls on the rooftop floor with Hoya’s hands gripping into his body.
“Are you ing stupid?!” Hoya screams to him. Hoya gives an intense glare to the younger boy. Myungsoo just stares at him blankly. Like a robot without emotion.
“Go.” He said. Breaking the silent.
“Why?! Why did you do this, Soo? Why?” Hoya keeps screaming. Tears rolling down in his cheeks.
“I said go.”
“Why don’t you talk to me?!” Hoya cried.
“Let go of me…!” Myungsoo screams while trying to free his hand from Hoya, but the latter doesn’t want to let go. Instead, he’s gripping on Myungsoo’s shoulder.
“I said, I’m gonna stand by your side, right? I said I will always be on your side. I promised you, right? Then why did you do it? Why, Soo?”
Myungsoo doesn’t answer it. Right, Hoya did promise that. But what if it isn’t enough? What if it’s still too painful for him? He can’t do anything. It’s hopeless. That’s why, he wants to be free. Myungsoo stares at Hoya who’s still crying and gripping to his shoulder. Then he looks at Bora who’s standing a few meters from them with teary eyes and heavy breaths.
“I’m sorry…” That’s the last thing that Myungsoo said before his vision getting blur and everything become dark.
“Myungsoo…!” Hoya shouts.
