Not Alone
Choices"I found you."
Suzy beamed down at Sehun who was lying on the grass. He then uttered, "You're blocking the view."
"What view?" she asked before looking up and there she saw how the beaming sun light peaked through the leaves of the tree above. She sat beside him as she continued staring at the view above. She spoke, "It's pretty. But I do not think you are appreciating its beauty."
"What do you know about beauty?"
"I am one," Suzy said while she cheekily grinned.
Sehun smirked. "Confident, aren't we?"
"Of course," Suzy exclaimed proudly, "Because I have beautiful parents."
Parents. Sehun contemplated at Suzy's last word.
"But you're actually two-timing and that is why you do not appreciate its beauty," Suzy explained as she sat beside Sehun.
"Two-timing?” he asked. Sehun did not see it but he knew that Suzy nodded.
"Because you are staring at something beautiful but you are thinking of something else. So, you actually love it not because of itself but because of what it reminds you."
Sehun closed his eyes.
"Omma, when I wake up, will you still be by my side?"
"Of course," said the woman who looked down at him as he lied on her lap.
The boy looked up and admired the beauty of the light that beamed through the leaves of the trees.
Sehun fluttered his eyes open when he felt a leaf land on his cheek.
A dream. Sehun thought. Just a dream.... of a fleeting memory.
He sat up and that is when he noticed that Suzy was still beside him. She was sleeping as she rested her body on the trunk of the tree.
He stared at her as he thought, You're right. You're beautiful.
Gently, he tucked the girl's hair to her ear as he asked himself, I wonder how long would this comfort between the two of us last?
He looked up once more.
Two of us? But we are not alone in this world.
Sehun heard the door clicked but he found it odd for it was only him who has the keys to his apartment. Only him and...
"Oh, you're still awake?"
"It's very late Kim Jongin."
"Why so conservative? You should also go out and have fun Oh Sehun. You are not a minor anymore."
Sehun looked at his childhood friend as if he contemplated on his words.
"But Sehun-a... Suzy.
