When you want something you’ve never had, you’ve to do something you’ve never done.

 Aleyah buried her head in between her knees as she hid herself at the furthest end of the bed. She took a familiar plunge of the emotional coaster ride once again. But this time it was much worst than before. The kiss they had shared was definitely not a friendly one, it was fiery and passionate. It was indeed true that when a heart is on fire, sparks will fly out of the mouth.

What should she do now? She asked herself as she held back her tears. She doesn’t want to cry. She doesn’t want to cry over a relationship that barely started. It was stupid. For 7 years, 2555 days, she had been in love with a man that barely knew her existence. He was her idol and she was merely just his fan. On the 8^th year when they finally met and came to realize that they were actually each other’s missing piece, it was all too late. They were merely just the right people meeting at the wrong time.

Given the lady’s sophiscated appearance and down-to-earth character, her suitors came from all walks of life. Samsung’s CEO, famous television programme’s producer, elementary school teacher, they were all once rejected by her. I’m sorry I can’t reciprocate your love because I’m in love with someone else were the most truthful yet hurtful words that she could ever come up to decline their love for her. But there was nothing she could do when Kai took up most of the space in her heart and mind.

Karma, it must be all the bad karma points she had earned when she rejected them that was she had to go through all of this now. She must have earned so much bad karma then that she had to do some payback now before something good could happen to her again. Does that mean that she had to wait for another 8 years? Another 2920 days before she could find her own happiness again?

Just as the negative thoughts ate her up, the doorbell rang. She instinctively looked at the door, who could it be? It can’t be Sehun because he had just left for his rehearsal after dropping her off. Opening the door, she was greeted by his familiar cologne before he came into her sight. That scent was sufficient to make her light-headed already.

“Heyy.” Kai stood outside her room, hands in his pocket as he flashed her a broad smile. He only managed to spend 10 minutes with her the previous morning to make sure she didn’t leave before he had to leave for rehearsals and practices. The amount of extra practices he had here hindered him from spending more time with her and it upsets him.

The sight of him made Aleyah crumble a little more inside. The presence of him made her eyesight blurred. Does he remember that he has a fiancé when he kissed her? Does he remember that he’s not in the position to love another woman? And does he know that if all of this was nothing but a joke, she had already taken everything seriously?

“Are you alright?” The man noticed her slightly reddened eyes and he stepped into her room without any invitation from her. He held her by her arms gently as the door behind him closed, “What’s wrong?”

Aleyah looked at him as she bit her lower lips hardly. The awful metal taste in was the only distraction to stop herself from crying before him. She wanted to ask him those burning questions in her head but she was afraid to know the answer. She was scared to hear that the night at the bridge would mean nothing to him if he remembered that he had a fiancé. Then everything would become a beautiful nightmare for her. The selfish side of her did not want that.

“Aleyah. Please don’t do that.” Kai saw her bleeding lips. He used his thumb to gently release her lower lip from her teeth as he brushed over it lightly to wipe off the blood.

He doesn’t know what had happened to her that caused her to be so and it gave him quite a shock to be greeted by her like this when she opened the door. It was his first time seeing her in this state of distress where tears were b up around her eyes. He could see her furiously blinking back her tears but that didn’t stop him from seeing through her vulnerability. His heart was aching as he watched her fight herself so she would not break down, “Come here.” Kai pulled her into his embrace and buried her into his chest protectively. He wrapped his left arm around her waist while his right hand patted her head lightly in a constant rhythm.

“It will all be okay uhm?” He spoke softly into her ears, reassuring her.

That moment, Aleyah’s selfish side was fully awaken. She s her hands around his waist, as though telling him never to let her go as she returned his comforting hug. All she wanted was his arms to be around her like this forever. But she knew nothing last forever. It didn’t take her long to come to an agreement with herself, she wanted to sin. Even if it meant increasing her bad karma points, she was still determined to live in this sinful dream that they’ve created together. She chose to forget about his engaged status, she chose to forget about the existence of Solbi. Just for this period of time, she thought. Just let her get lost in his love and never be found.

“Feeling better?” Kai’s back was leaned against the bed’s headboard with his hands still wrapped around her waist. He planted a soft kiss on her head, which was on top of his chest. He could smell her hair scent and he loves it.

She nodded, “Much better now.”

“Then can you tell me what's wrong?” His tone was gentle. So gentle that it made Aleyah guilty because she was going to lie, “Mood swings. Female pains.”

“So serious that it will make you cry?”

“For me, yes.” She told a second lie as she snuggled into his chest. The feeling of cuddling on the warm bed with him was just so blissful that she can’t stop smiling. “Are you afraid of this side of me?”

“Afraid of?”

“Afraid that the person in your arms right now might cry out of nowhere and shout at you for no apparent reason.”

“Why would I be afraid?” Kai asked her. The two of them were just talking to one another without any eye contact made but the feeling they had was not any lesser than those they felt when they look into one another’s eyes.

“I don’t know, usually people would.” She admitted.

“I’m not the usual people. I’m Kim JongIn, someone who is made to handle her sudden cries and unreasonable shouting.” He ran his hands down her back soothingly as he continued, “I would hold her if she cries and I would backhug her if she’s mad at me.”

Aleyah smiled at his answer, the her that he was referring to was none other than herself, “What a sweet-talker.”

“Only for you.” He planted another kiss on her head lovingly.

“You are such a tease, Mr Kim JongIn.”

“This is definitely not how I tease.” The man smirked at her words, “Let me show you how I do it.”

He flipped her over as he enveloped her lips with his. It wasn’t a rough and hasty kiss, it was a light and loving one. Those that was sufficient to make her lose her conscious as she melt under his lips.

“This is how I tease, Miss Aleyah.” Kai tugged a strand of her behind her ears after he broke the kiss.

“Teaser, you should go. It’s late.” She sat up and pulled the sheets off him but he grabbed them and covered himself with it once again.

“Yah.”

“I don’t want.” He closed his eyes as he snuggled into the pillow beside hers.

“Don’t be a kid. C’mon, Kyungsoo will be worried if you don’t go back.”

“He won’t. I’m sleeping alone tonight.” He pouted cutely at her, “And I’m afraid of the dark.”

“You what?” She chuckled at his childish excuse.

“I said I’m afraid of the dark.” Kai reached up and pulled her down with him before covering the sheets over her,

“So I’m staying here for the night.”

Don't ask me why but I'm deeply in love with this chapter.

I think it's just the effect of Kai.
