Happy Virus

The One You Love The Most

The next day, Yeo Hee went to the university. When she met up with Eun Mi in the cafeteria, she immediately told about the incident last night. Her friend was completely astounded as she told her the story in details.

"Did those chasers get caught?" Eun Mi asked with full concern.

Yeo Hee shook her head, "they were able to escape, but we had an idea of who did it."

"Who?"

"Yoo Ara."

"Jinjja?! Why am I even surprised? I could tell she could do such things." Eun Mi said.

"But not to that extent." Yeo Hee couldn't still believe that Yoo Ara would actually plan something evil to her.

Eun Mi and Yeo Hee went on with their conversation as they walked along the hallway.

"But I learnt something last night. Kyungsoo and Yoo Ara are not really together." Yeo Hee blurted out.

"See?! I knew it! That's the reason she had that kind of evil plan. Because she failed to get Kyungsoo and because you're the closest one to Kyungsoo." Eun Mi shook her head in disbelief.

"But maybe because she knew that I have feelings for him too." Yeo Hee murmured.

"Mwo!? She knew?" Eun Mi got shocked.

Yeo Hee pursed her lips and bowed her head. "Yeah, she noticed. But of course, I denied it. She doesn't have a proof anyway."

Eun Mi just nodded and heaved a sigh. "Well, what matters is you're okay."

"Yeah. Good thing Baekhyun was there. He's always there to save or comfort me. I should really be thankful." Yeo Hee said as a smile slowly crept on her face.

Eun Mi agreed with what she said. But deep inside her, she was troubled. It seems like she's starting to like him. She thought. Suddenly, she remembered the signs they listed.

"He saved you?" Eun Mi tried to clarify what Yeo Hee just said. Yeo Hee quickly nodded.

"Omo! He saved you. That's another sign!" Upon realizing it, Eun Mi pulled out her notebook and a pen from her bag. She quickly turned to the page where the score tally was and updated it.

Kyungsoo - 2

Baekhyun - 2

Chanyeol  - 1

They both looked stared at the tally. "I think Chanyeol needs to catch up." and Eun Mi joked. Their attention got diverted when they heard a familiar voice coming from a man.

"Yeo Hee!" Chanyeol screamed loudly, running towards to them.

"C-Chanyeol? What happened? Why are you running?" Yeo Hee asked as she was surprised with his sudden presence.

"I heard what happened to you. Are you okay? Did they hurt you? Who are they? Tell me!" Chanyeol threw several questions at her while he was still grasping for air. Eun Min couldn't help but chuckled because of how concerned he was.

"Omo! Chanyeol, we were just talking about you." Eun Mi said.

"Huh? Me?" Chanyeol asked, filled with confusion.

"Don't mind her. But Chanyeol, just calm down, okay? I'm alright. See? I'm here and safe." Yeo Hee tried to convince him.

"But what happened? You should've called so I could have sent you home." Chanyeol said.

"But it was already late at night and I didn't want to disturb you." And Yeo Hee retorted.

"But that's it! It was already late so you should really have someone to send you home." Chanyeol answered back, getting mad this time.

"Are you mad?" Yeo Hee noticed that his voice was getting louder.

"No. But I just too worried when I heard the news. I don't know what I would do if something bad happened to you." he finally admitted.

Yeo Hee was startled with Chanyeol's sudden outburst. Nonetheless, she was utterly touched with his words.

"But Chanyeol, I'm okay now. And Baekhyun was there and he saved me." She said.

"B-Baekhyun? Your high school friend? The guy who confessed to you in the concert?" Chanyeol said, raising his eyebrow.

"Y-Yeah?" I think I shouldn't have said that. Yeo Hee felt awkward with how Chanyeol asked her about Baekhyun.

"If you just called me up, I could have saved you too. It would have been me." Chanyeol muttered. But Yeo Hee heard it very clearly that she suddenly understood where he was coming from. She remembered that he just confessed to her too and realized that he might feel bad because of it. But her thoughts got confirmed when she noticed that he remained quiet for a while and didn't say anything. She could tell that he was getting jealous.

I want to do something for Yeo Hee too. Chanyeol thought as he couldn't hide the jealousy he felt anymore.

"But you know what? I got traumatized by that incident and I need your help..." Yeo Hee suddenly spoke up. Chanyeol brightened up after hearing these words from her.

"What is it? Tell me! I'll do everything to help you." This is my chance. Chanyeol got excited.

"Maybe we can go somewhere and have some fun. With that, I might be able to forget everything. What do you think Eun Mi?" Yeo Hee said, turning to her friend.

"Yes. That's a great idea. According to this book I read before, the best thing to forget bad memories or an experience is to make some good and happy ones." Eun Mi added.

"That's right! You need it. I have an idea now. Let's go out later and I'll pick you up by 6pm, araji?" Chanyeol quickly planned everything. Yeo Hee smiled at him and nodded as a response. She could see how excited he was now and she felt good seeing him this jolly again. Chanyeol happily left after getting her affirmation.

"Speaking of catching up, I think Chanyeol is doing it." Eun Mi spoke up right after Chanyeol left them. "And I could see that you're giving him a chance."

"I think he's really a nice person. He has this positive presence that is really contagious. You know, just like a happy virus." Yeo Hee said.

"A happy virus? That suits him." And they both chuckled with this new term.

Evening came and Yeo Hee was already getting ready before Chanyeol arrives. Kyungsoo noticed that she was all dressed up so he couldn't help but ask.

"Going somewhere?" he said, as he prepared the table for their dinner.

"Yeah. Chanyeol is going to pick me up today. We're going somewhere." She replied while she checked herself out again in front of the mirror.

"Another date?" Kyungsoo tried to confirm.

"Yeah, I mean... he just wants to help so I can forget what happened last night."

"But you should've told me. We could go to Namsan Park if you like." Kyungsoo suddenly blurted out. His words made Yeo Hee stop and look at him, but Kyungsoo got also surprised with what he said. Yeo Hee slowly walked towards him, narrowing her eyes.

"Ooh, is my best friend jealous?" she asked, staring at him.

Kyungsoo felt nervous because of the way she stared at him. "It's not that...b-but..." he couldn't seem to find the right words to say.

Yeo Hee suddenly laughed as she could see how he stuttered. "Yah! I'm just kidding! Don't worry, we'll go out next time." She kid. After a moment, Chanyeol arrived and Yeo Hee didn't let him wait so she bid good bye to Kyungsoo and left.

Meanwhile, Kyungsoo sat on the chair and stared at the food he prepared. He never felt this sad seeing Yeo Hee leave the apartment before. All he knows -- he doesn't like what he feels right now.

Chanyeol and Yeo Hee quickly reached the Namsan River. And as they walked, Yeo Hee observed Chanyeol's face which seemed like he was looking for something.

"Is there something wrong, Chanyeol?” she asked.

"A-aniya. I'm just looking for a good spot..." he said.

"Good spot?" she was about to ask him what he meant by that when he suddenly pulled her to somewhere.

"Here! Here's the best spot." Chanyeol grinned widely and asked Yeo Hee to sit down on the bench. Yeo Hee just complied and Chanyeol immediately sat beside her. Chanyeol just looked at her and smiled.

Meanwhile, Yeo Hee was filled with utter confusion with what Chanyeol was thinking. They sat in front of the river where people just passed by. She was actually waiting for Chanyeol to say something but the boy was busily looking at the night sky or if not, looking at her.

"What are we going to do here?" she finally asked after clearing .

"Hmm...enjoy the scenery?" he just shrugged.

"The scenery?" She looked at the river again and the people walking by. How can I enjoy this scenery? she asked herself.

"Are we going to stare at the river and the people passing by the entire night?" she asked him again. But Chanyeol just smiled at her as a response. It was already past six in the evening and there were only few people in Namsan river. It was a cold and serene night -- just exactly how Chanyeol wanted it to be.

Yeo Hee began to feel a little troubled because she didn't know what to expect. Chanyeol was still looking at the sky and smiling to his self.

A couple of minutes later, Chanyeol uttered something after he checked his watch.

"It's starting..." Yeo Hee turned to him and saw him still looking up. She followed suit and when something caught her eyes, she got completely amazed.

"Woah!" Yeo Hee said in amazement. The fireworks display was part of Chanyeol plan. Yeo Hee couldn't stop from smiling as she watched the different shapes and colors of the fireworks. While she was enjoying the view, Chanyeol was just lovingly staring at her. Her smile is really the most beautiful thing, I've ever seen. He thought.

"It's so beautiful..." she uttered with too much awe.

"Yes, it is." he responded while staring at her. Yeo Hee felt he was staring so she turned to him but he quickly looked up so she wouldn't catch him. Even though, Yeo Hee smiled as she felt that Chanyeol did all of this for her.

The firework display lasted for fifteen minutes and when it was finally over, Yeo Hee and Chanyeol clapped their hands excitedly.

"Woah! That was really amazing!" Yeo Hee exclaimed.

"Did you like it?"

"Of course, I did! By the way, did you plan all of these?"

Chanyeol pursed his lips and nodded. Yeo Hee smiled wider as she continued to look up at the night sky.

"You know what? I think I'm right..." Yeo Hee spoke again.

"What do you mean?"

"That you're sick." she said. A sudden throb hit Chanyeol's chest when he heard her words. How did she find out about it? He panicked inside. He chuckled a bit and tried to calm down as much as possible.

"I don't get it...what do you mean?" he denied.

"I mean, you have this virus." she said, smiling at him.

"A virus?" Chanyeol started to be clueless with what Yeo Hee was talking about.

"Yes. You are sick and infected by this virus. A happy virus." She finally said. Chanyeol felt totally relieved when he realized that his thoughts were wrong. He nodded his head as big smile formed on his lips.

"Well, I think you're right. And I'm going to infect you with this happy virus so I will always see you smiling!" he said.

"You already got me infected Chanyeol. Since the day I met you and because of that, I want to thank you for spreading a happy virus into my life." Yeo Hee sweetly said. Chanyeol couldn't hide the happiness he felt when she said those words.

It was already getting late and time had really flown so fast. Chanyeol decided Yeo Hee home and made sure that she would get home safely this time.

Author's note:

Hello everyone! *waves excitedly*

Gaaah! I miss you guys! Here's another update for all of you.

I know that you all missed Chanyeol from our previous chapter so I'm bringing him back! And I'm sure he missed all of you too. Right Chanie?

Right!

I know that I've been a bad author for not updating consistently. Well, I want to be honest with everyone. Mrs. Sarang is currently having some personal matter to deal with -- matters of the heart. I won't be able to write this story if my emotions are messed up.

Right now, I'm helping myself by listening to happy songs and looking at Chanyeol's cracks.

Look at the smile~ Who wouldn't be happy? So yeah, he's really our happy virus.

But seriously, thank you so much everyone for staying with me. I'm currently working on the following chapters and finally I was able to finish three chapters (they are all drafts, though).

I love you guys! Mrs. Sarang will be strong! I will SMILE and you should all SMILE for me too. Araji?

Saranghae noona~ Saranghae readers~

Saranghae Chanie~!

Saranghae everyone!
