Plot/summery: Rachel and Nick met when they were kids and over one summer had something that would stick with them always. That Aguest Nick had to move to Thailand and promised to be back by the time she turned 18 and when he returned they would become boyfriend and girlfriend and get married and have babies. Over the years both thought of each other constantly and wrote each other letters but never sent them. Over the years Rachel made a friend online (like a fansite for a jrock band) named Teacyeon who lived in Boston. When Rachel was 19 Nick returned however Rachel was no longer waiting. Because Taec was there and they were packing her things so she could finish her schooling in Boston and they would share an apartment. Now Nick was the one waiting for her to return. Occasionally they would call but mainly they continued to write more letters they never sent. At her graduation Taec invits Nick to her graduation. Nick informs her that he is sick of waiting and kisses her. Taec makes a joke about PDA and kissing his sister means Nick wants to die. blah blah blah

Extra: Rachel has lived on her own sense she was 15 because her parents so from the time she was 15 until she was 19 she had a job in a nurseing home and when she lived in Boston she worked in another nursing home.

Rachel’s POV~

“Come one Nichkhun!” I yelled running ahead of him. Of course he caught up to me in less than a minute and we were tumbling down the grassy hill.

“I caught you!” Nichkhun said in triumph puffing out his chest.

“Ok, here’s your reward.” I said and began tickling him, knowing how ticklish he was. We were both laughing when I felt him holding my hand.

“Rachel, promise me that when we grow up, we’ll be boyfriend and girlfriend and then get married.” He held out his pinky and I took it with my own.

“I promise, we’ll have kids too right?” I ask smiling. He nodded and soon, our parents called for us to go inside. I didn’t know that would be the last time we would see one another before he moved to Thailand. But we made a promise, we would be together once I turned 18.

Nichkhun’s POV~

Dear Rachel,

          I know you must be wondering where I am, and why this is the first letter you’re getting from me right? Honestly speaking, this is about the millionth letter I wrote to you but never sent. I wish I could see you, or get a letter from you. I’m really sorry but I need to stay in Thailand for a little while longer.

I looked the letter over and over again and finally felt satisfied with what I’ve written, I placed it neatly into an envelope and wrote the address and everything. The last step was to place a stamp and send it.

“I’m sorry Rachel.” I muttered under my breath and placed the unsent letter into a drawer filled with the previous failed attempts. I’ve written to her the minute I came home, yet I could never send them to her.

Rachel’s POV~

Dear Nichkhun,

          How are you? I’ve been meaning to send you my letters but never seemed to have the guts to do so. So guess what? I’m finally 18! I hope I get to see you soon J

~Rachel

I looked over my letter and simply hit my head against the wooden table top. I just knew this was going to be another unsent one that bore a deep hole in the back of my closet.

I was so occupied with my own thoughts that I forgot I was having a conversation with Taecyeon.

Hey, sorry about that. I typed into the chat box. There was a little icon signaling he was currently typing back.

No problem ,so what were you doing to ignore me like that? :3

I felt my eyes roll at his cockiness and replied,

Writing a letter, lost in my own thoughts. :P

Nichkhun’s POV~

I can’t believe I’m finally going to see Rachel. It’s been nearly 12 years, she should be around 19. I couldn’t help but feel the butterflies gathering in my stomach. Will she still be waiting for me? How has she changed? I was about to knock on her door when it flung open itself, revealing a beautiful girl holding a pair of luggage.

“H-hello, sorry to bother you but does a Rachel Porter live here by chance?” She gave me an unfazed look and replied,

“Yes, I’m Rachel.”

Rachel’s POV~

He suddenly had this warm smile plastered on his face and replied,

“Logn time no see, remember me?” I looked for any sign of recognition and suddenly my eyes lit up.

“Nichkhun!” I yelled and we both hugged each other.

“Wow you’ve changed, how have you been?” I asked him. He ruffled my hair and said,

“I’ve been good, how about you? You changed so much.” I giggle at his comment. I couldn’t help but look him over. He changed so much but in the best way possible. He’s tall, lean, and handsome.

“Rachel?” I turn around and see Taecyeon standing at the doorway. I almost forgot.

“Nichkhun, this is my friend Taecyeon. Taecyeon, this is Nichkhun.” Taecyeon held out a hand and Nichkhun hesitated before shaking it.

Nichkhun’s POV~

Why was another man inside her house? Are they just friends? Yet they keep smiling at each other like something more.

“Hey Rachel, can I talk to you for a minute? Alone, if that’s ok?” Taecyeon gave her a nod and Rachel followed me to the nearby park.

“Rachel, why are you moving to Boston? I just came back for you and now you’re leaving?”

Rachel’s POV~

I felt instant anger shoot up inside.

“I’m going to Boston to finish my schooling there.” I said through gritted teeth. He came a year too late and now expects me to stay here?

“Why are you going to Taecyeon?” He asks giving me a suspicious look.

“We’re sharing an apartment together. He’s a friend. A good friend.” Nichkhun combed his hair with his hands and simply stared at the ground.

“Why are you leaving me?” I couldn’t stand it anymore, I simply stood up and shouted,

“I’m leaving you?! You were the one who left me first and then broke our promise. You might be thinking that it was childish pinky promise but I took your word for it! I stopped waiting for you; I shoved away all hope of you coming back. I was finally starting a sensible life when you show up and ask me why am I leaving you? I worked in a nursing home since I was 15 when my parent decided to be morons and I was holding up just fine. Then you just barge into my life and expect me to take you back and everything will be happily ever after? You’re impossible Nichkhun!” I say and storm off. I was holding back the angery tears when Nichkhun gently took my wrist and said,

“I’ll wait for you this time. Like you waited for me.” I simply kept walking, not daring to look behind me.

Nichkhun’s POV~

The minute I got home, I took out a piece of loose leaf paper and began writing.

Dear Rachel, I’m so sorry. I know I should say more but the first words that come to me are sorry. I know that this isn’t much, but I couldn’t wait to come back. I thought about you every day and you clouded my dreams as well. I hope you can come back soon

And the same process happened; I shoved it back into my drawer without sending it.

Rachel’s POV~

“Hey Rachel, you have a phone call.” Taecyeon said coming into the kitchen. I placed the phone in between my ear and shoulder and asked,

“Hello? Rachel speaking.” There was a moment of pause on the other line before I heard the familiar voice,

“Hey Rachel, it’s me; Nichkhun.” I felt my cheeks turn a slight pink, remembering my outburst at him before I left.

“H-hi.” I managed to stutter out. I heard him give a defeated sigh on the other end before saying,

“I’m sorry about what happened at the park. I really didn’t mean to hurt you or anything. Will you forgive me?” A small smile escaped my lips and I replied,

“If you forgive me for yelling like a maniac.” We both laughed a little before I heard the kettle whistling in the back.

“Sorry Nichkhun, I have to go. Bye!” I said and hung up before turning off the stove. Once I prepared everything, I went into my room and sat down at the office table.

Dear Nichkhun, I’m glad that we made up. To be honest, you don’t know how happy I felt when you told me you’d wait. I felt even more overjoyed when you apologized for hurting me. I’ll try to finish school here early; for the both of us.

I paused for a second before I finished yet another unsent letter,

I’ll always love you.

I simply plopped down on the bed and couldn’t help but hug my pillow to my chest. I heard a knock on the door and yelled,

“Come in.” Who would it be but Taecyeon sitting on the bed next to me. He wrapped his arms around me like a big brother and asked,

“What’s wrong?” I sighed and gave him my usual look. He nodded sympathetically and asked,

“Nichkhun?” I could only nod and he asked pointing to my letter left in the open,

“Another one of your letters?”

“If you know everything why are you asking me?” I asked pouting. He only chuckled and kissed my forehead in a comforting way. I know that me and Taecyeon are only good friends. I trust him and he understands me. Yet, if I fell for Taecyeon, things would have been so much easier.

Taecyeon’s POV~

Rachel stifled a yawn and I gently laid her down into bed,

“You should get some rest, tomorrow’s your graduation right?” She gave me a silent nod and in mere second, I heard her gently snoring. I quickly exited the room and dialed a number.

“Hello?” He replied on the other end.

“Hey, how do you feel about coming to Rachel’s graduation tomorrow?”

Rachel’s POV~

It’s finally the day. I sat in the seats along with the rest of the class and looked out into the audience. I saw Taecyeon and he gave me a small wave. I replied with a small smile and couldn’t help but feel overjoyed.

If only Nichkhun was here.

I shook that thought out of my mind. This is your big day Rachel, worry about him later. When I received my diploma and everyone threw their caps in the air, I looked into the audience but didn’t see Taecyeon. Instead, I saw Nichkhun.

Nichkhun’s POV~

She saw me. I couldn’t help but smile at her reaction. The minute the host announced that they ar efinished with the ceremony, she leaped off the stage and ran towards me. Taecyeon gave me a pat on the shoulder and Rachel came up hugging me.

“Hey, congratulations.” I said.

“So much for waiting for me to return huh?” Rachel joked and I couldn’t help but caress her cheek fondly.

“I was sick of waiting.”

I couldn’t hold myself back and kissed her. I simply held the side of her face while she wrapped her arms around me.

“Aw gross! If you get PDA it’s not my problem.” Taecyeon said holding his hands up in defeat. Rachel and I exchange a warm look with each other before our lips meet again for another sweet kiss.

Rachel's POV~

After the graduation ceremony, we headed for our car and Nichkhun handed me a heavy box.

"What's this?" I ask trying to open it.

"All the unsent letters I wrote." He commented scratchign the back of his neck. I looked up at him and said,

"I should probably give you your letters too. Truth is, I never got to send mien either." We were both englufed by a comforting silence before Nichkhun said,

"I love you Rachel." I smiled and replied,

"Good, because I wrote that I love you a lot of times in my letters to you."
