Plot/ Summary: hyesu, an ice queen based on her looks but is actually a kind, out-going,friendly,loyal,independent,patient, stubborn and protective girl who always keeps a low profile because she doesn't want people to know who is she related too and wants a normal life. She despises bullies but often gets bullied and sneers from others. minhyuk is a loud, charismatic, cunning, spoil brat and he always gets what he wants by hook or by crook. he often bullies others to get what he wants and he always bullies hyesu since she often barges in n lets herself be the victim when he is bullying others. one day he was dared to seduce her, make her fall for him and dump her in public by his friends which he agreed to. without realizing it, he falls for her badly but she finds out about the dare retaliates by dumping him before the dare is done leaving him feeling remorseful and regretting all his actions especially when he knows her real identity with the appearance of her cousin who came to warn him to stay away from her.

Hyesu’s POV~

“Please don’t! I promise I-I’ll apologize next time!” I turned to my left and saw that in the far right corner, some student was being bullied. You would usually avoid a situation like that right? I wasn’t like that; I can’t help but reach out and try to save him.

“Yah what do you think you’re doing?!” I yelled and marched right up to the fight waiting to happen. Before I could even get close, I already knew who the bully was. It was none other than the spoiled brat Minhyuk.

Minhyuk’s POV~

“Hey look who it is, it’s none other than Hyesu.” My friends mocked, already snickering at her. She simply stood there with her hands on her hips, unfazed by any of this.

“Yah, let him go.” She said pointing to the little kid whimpering in the corner. Before we could retaliate, the brat ran off in fear. Coward. My friends and I exchanged some looks before they got my message and walked away. I couldn’t help but smirk in entertainment, my plan can finally go into action.

“Pay up, I won the bet.” I said and held out my hand that was soon greeted by a stack of cash.

“So was that your 100^th girl? Or did you already lose track?” My friends chuckled and I silently nodded.

“Alright, who’s my next victim?” I was expecting the usual random girl I would have to find at a bar or club, but instead we all turned our heads when we saw a group of girl huddle around another girl. I think her name was Hyesu, always getting bullied. I didn’t even need to look at my friends to know who my next victim was.

“Have fun seducing that ice queen Hyesu. Usual bet, make sure she falls for you and dump her in public; crush her.”

“I’m leaving.” Hyesu said and turned around. Oh no, she isn’t going anywhere until I give her something to remember me by. I quickly grabbed her wrist and spun her around, crashing my lips onto her own. She didn’t kiss back but that’s ok, it’s all in a matter of time. I broke it off and smiled at her face. She’s bound to fall for me, every girl does. Yet, instead of blushing or having the reaction every girl does, she has such a blank stare.

“Did I leave you speechless or som-” I began but when her hand came across my face, I was left speechless.

Hyesu’s POV~

Even that slap wasn’t satisfying; I should have him pay for stealing my first kiss!

“Go make out with your other girlfriends.” I hissed and walked off, not bothering to wait for his stupid reaction. How could he? Along the way to my house I repeatedly rubbed at my lips, hoping to wipe away and residue he could have possibly left.

“I’m home!” I announce when I open the front door. I thought it would be silent, yet Seunghyun emerges from the kitchen door and opens his arms in a welcome,

“Welcome home.” I had a big smile plastered on my face and I ran up hugging him.

“What are you doing here Seunghyun? Don’t you have some schedule?” I ask mockingly. I know Seunghyun as my older cousin, you guys know him as TOP from Big Bang. He ruffles my hair and replies,

“Yeh, but I thought I’d stop by along the way and say hi to my little cousin.” That’s his excuse; he always comes by my house at least three times a week.

“So anything new happened?” He asks pinching both of my cheeks.

“N-no.” I stutter out remembering the incident with Minhyuk a moment ago.

Minhyuk’s POV~

The next day, guess who had a sore cheek? -.-; I spotted Hyesu coming in through the front gate and immediately marched up to her. I quietly pulled her to the side and the minute she noticed who kidnapped her, her face distorted into a frown of disgust.

“What do you want?” He voice was ice cold as if she has been practicing this line a million times. I pointed to my cheek as if that was the obvious reason why I pulled her aside.

“Oh look at that, I didn’t slap you hard enough yesterday.” She said and had her arms folded over her chest.

“Yah you owe me an apology for slapping me!” I said as I pinned her arms above her head, against the wall.

“An APOLOGY?!”

Hyesu’s POV~

Did this jerk just seriously ask for an apology?!

“Yeh!” He retorted as if he did nothing wrong in the matter.

“You don’t deserve an apology! You were the one who kissed me in the first place! You even stole…” I drifted off; I didn’t want this douche bag to know he stole my first kiss. He eyed me suspiciously and seemed to notice my sudden embarrassment.

“Don’t tell me that was your first kiss.” I could only look off to the side, but I knew my blushing face gave me away. I heard him snicker like every other bully and he told me,

“Either way, I demand compensation for the bruise you left on my face.” He leaned in and kissed me again, this time on the cheek though. I was quite surprised he didn’t attack my lips this time; he released my arms and walked off.

“I’ll be seeing you around Hyesu, I have a feeling we’ll be close friends.” Yet the way he said that last word, made me think otherwise.

Minhyuk’s POV~

She’s different, something about Hyesu stands out. She doesn’t fallow me around like a puppy, and she doesn’t cling to me. In fact, she does the complete opposite. Every time I wrap my arm around her shoulder, she shrugs it off. Every time I give her a compliment, she glares at me. It’s as if I’m really chasing after her, instead of the other way around.

I shook my head in frustration. Why are you giving this one girl a single thought?! I knew the answer to my question, but I didn’t want to believe it.

“Hey Minhyuk, when are you finally going to dump that Hyesu chick?” I lifted my head and realized I forgot that my friends were around me.  I completely forgot that this was all a simple dare.

“Soon.” I replied trying to put up my best poker face. But there was the slightest hint of regret in my tone of voice, making me really wonder about this whole bet in the first place.

Hyesu’s POV~

I was mindlessly walking through the halls when I heard it. I saw Minhyuk sitting outside the school’s lawn, talking. Curiosity got the best of me so I walked a little closer to hear their conversation.

“Hey Minhyuk, when are you going to dump that Hyesu chick?” My heart froze, did I hear that right? Was I really one of Minhyuk’s gossiped about bets? I didn’t want to believe it, not after those times Minhyuk actually paid me the slightest attention. Yet my thoughts were destroyed when I heard Minhyuk reply,

“Soon.”

I ran off, not bothering to care about the people I pushed past to run home. I slammed the door behind me and slid down to the floor, hugging my knees to my chest.

“Hyesu what happened?” I knew the all too familiar voice and replied,

“Nothing Seunghyun, I just need some time to myself is all.”

Seunghyun’s POV~

I silently sat beside her and rubbed her back,

“I don’t think that’s the case. What happened?” She finally looked up at me and told me the whole story. Starting from the day he kissed her to the conversation she heard. I couldn’t help but ball my hands into fists and let my mind wander off to the things I should do to this punk for even involving Hyesu.

“Seunghyun I know that look on your face, don’t do anything. I have this under control.” She stood up and headed up toward the stairs.

“What are you planning?” I asked at her figure from behind. She stopped in her tracks and turned around, giving me a look of both hurt and determination.

“His plan’s gonna retaliate on him. I’ll tell you that much.”

Minhyuk’s POV~

Hyesu said she needed to talk to me as soon as possible. I met her in front of the school building and school was about to end in a couple of minutes. This is the perfect time to dump her, isn’t it? So why am I holding myself back?

“Minhyuk.” I turned around at the sound of Hyesu’s voice and saw her staring at the ground.  She had no emotion or any hint of annoyance in her voice like she usually did.

“Neh, what’d you want me here for Hyesu?” The bell rang and I heard the doors opening, followed by the sea of students walking around us.

“I know about the bet, that’s why I’m dumping you first. We’re through. Actually, we never were together to begin with.” She stated and walked off. The people who walked past us heard the whole conversation. I couldn’t believe this. I decided to lay low and walk off myself. I was only a couple of blocks from the school when a man in sunglasses came up and grabbed me by the collar.

“How dare you even hurt Hyesu?” Who was he? He had too good of a grip on my short for me to wrestle my way out, so I simply asked what any other person would.

“Who are you? You’re not even involved in what happened between me and Hyesu.” He lowered his sunglasses and I’ve seen his face millions of times on music shows.

“You’re TOP from Big Bang. But, how does Hyesu have anything to do with you?” I asked trying to process this day.

“She’s my dear cousin, and I would appreciate it if you backed off and stayed away from her.” He said and let go, adjusting her glasses and outfit before walking off.

I would’ve usually ignored the warning and walked off, continuing my life as if nothing happened. Yet today, I felt so much emotions welling up inside of me. The remorse and guilt was practically eating me alive. I can’t leave things as they are now.

Hyesu’s POV~

The next day I thought I was done with Minhyuk, I thought that I would go back and continue being bullied. Yet instead, no one bullied me, no one snickered in my direction, no one even gave me a second look of distaste. I was obviously confused by this and in the middle of the day, Minhyuk approached me.

“Move out of my way.” I stated not wanting to be involved with him anymore. Yet he blocked my path and said,

“Just hear me out.”

“Why should I?”

“Because I want to make it up to you. I’m sorry. I truly am.”

“I don’t believe you, now move.” He gave out an exhausted sigh and before I could react, he lifted me up by my waist and placed me up on a nearby bench, making me stand out from the crowd of passing students.

“Choi Hyesu, I fell in love with you and all I ask is that you forgive me.” He said loud and clear. It was as if time stopped itself, the students didn’t dare take another step forward and stopped to stare. I tried to belittle myself but to no avail, especially since Minhyuk stood up on the bench by my side.

“I’m telling you honestly, no bet this time.”

Minhyuk’s POV~

“Well, I finished saying everything I have to say.” I announced and slowly, the students left for their next classes and Hyesu walked off. I thought that was the end of that and I wouldn’t be getting a second chance. But when the halls cleared, someone pulled me off to the side and I felt Hyesu’s soft lips on my own.

“I thought I would never get to kiss you again.” I said. She smirked and playfully flicked me gently on the forehead.

“Pabo, I love you too. But don’t put me on the spot like that again. I’m not one to deal well with that.” I kissed her forehead and replied,

“Don’t worry, I don’t even plan on putting you on the spot like that again, whether I plan on dumping you like before or confessing to you how much I love you.”
