Devin’s POV~
It’s beautiful outside today. The wind gives off a cool breeze, the sun is shining through the trees branches, and there are happy families and couple walking around. I was setting up my camera equipment, ready to take another photo shoot with my newest camera.
Who is he? I never saw him around the park before, and he caught my attention the minute our eyes locked for a mere second. He gave me a small smile and wave and I felt my blood rush to my cheeks.
Where’s my camera? I looked around and finally found it, it might seem weird but if something or someone catches my attention, I need to snap a photo. I looked in his direction but he was nowhere to be found.
“Where’d he go?” I ask disappointed. He suddenly popped up in front of my camera equipment and said,
“Yo!”
Jiyong’s POV~
She jumped back and held her hand to her chest.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” I said scratching the back of my head. She gave me a small smile and held out a hand,
“Im Kim Devin. And you are?”
“Kwon Jiyong.” I say shaking her offered hand.
“So you’re a professional photographer?” I ask. I saw her blush a little and reply,
“No, but I’d like to be. It’s a dream of mine since I was a little kid.”
Devin’s POV~
I don’t even know why I was opening up to this stranger. But with his kid smile, he felt so trusting.
“So how long until you finish for today?” He asks with a smile.
“I don’t know, I usually spend the whole day taking pictures, finding something to photograph.”
I saw him give me one of those are-you-crazy?! Looks. He picked up a cherry blossom that flew onto his knee and tucked it behind my ear.
“You should be enjoying a beautiful day like this. Come walk around with me.” He offered. It was temping to say no, so once I packed up my stuff I strolled around the park with him.
Jiyong’s POV~
We were both laughing and talking when I saw an ice cream truck nearby.
“What flavor?” I ask Devin. She panics and says,
“I can’t accept that, I don’t have any money with me to pay you back.” I roll my eyes at her and order two strawberry ice creams. She takes it with a guilty look on her face and says,
“Thank you. Strawberry’s my favorite.” I give her a small smile and say,
“Mine too.”
Devin’s POV~
Once we finished our ice cream, it was getting pretty late and I told Jiyong,
“I need to go. It was really nice hanging out with you.” I bowed and began walking away when he said,
“Wait! You still need to pay me back for the ice cream.” I turned around and said,
“I really do apologize but I don’t have any money with me right now.” He gave me a crooked smile and said,
“Take a picture with me, as payment.” I blushed at his sudden offer but felt guilty about the ice cream. I took out my brand new camera thinking,
So my first picture on this camera will be with him.
I faced the camera lens toward us and counted,
“1, 2,…3!” Before the flash went off, I felt Jiyong gently peck me on the cheek and say,
“Ice cream debt repaid, you’re free to go.”
