 5.) A sweet one. Something like sad at the start but with a happy and kind of open ending, like the story ends with a question or statement

Ellen had always like chanshik, they're friends but Ellen tries her hardest to keep it from him, She does everything that he looks for in a girl, act a lady no matter how childish and clumsy she is, always try to get high grades though she only usually gets average marks (from 75-85). Then there comes the school singing competition. They make her sign up just for fun. and ends up choosing a song dedicated for Gongchan, as they practice she falls deeper and on the day itself.. he surprises her :D

Ellen’s POV~

“Chashik, can you please pass me the salt?” I ask, remembering my manners. He hands it to me and after I finish eating, I gently wipe at the corners of my mouth with a napkin instead of my sleeve. You’re probably wondering why I’m acting so composed and lady-like right?

“So how’d you do on the geometry test?” Chanshik asks.

“I got an 80.” I state a little glumly. No matter how hard I try, academics aren’t my thing. He nods and my friend suddenly tackles me from behind.

“Yo Ellen!” She yells into my ear and I can only sigh at this loud kid -.-

“What is it?” I reply,

“Did you hear about our singing competition?” I almost choke on my own food. Calm down Ellen, don’t blow your lady cover in front of Chashik.

“Yeah, they’re gonna have a school singing competition.” She states proudly.

“You should definitely try out.” Chashik says gently nudging my side. I couldn’t help but blush at his encouraging words.

“S-sure. Will you be trying out too?” I ask hopeful. He winks at me and says,

“I’ll think about it.” I couldn’t help but pout at him and said,

“Ne you should try.”

“You have a bee on you.” He states pointing to my shoulder. I quickly get horrified and end up falling from my chair onto the ground landing on my -.- That’s me, clumsy as ever.

“You ok?” Chashik asks in between laughs and chuckles. I couldn’t help but feel hurt at that. I always try to be everything that Chashik looks for in a girl, yet he never sees me more than that. The minute our school bell rings, I run out of the lunch room toward the bathroom checking to see if the tears already spilled.

Chashik’s POV~

Ellen and I arrived at the rehearsal room and we sat next to each other.

“Alright students, here’s how it’s going to go; you’ll go in one by one into that room and sing. We’ll choose the top 6 who will be moving on to perform for this school event in a week’s time.” I looked over at Ellen and she tried to put on a brave smile, yet I knew she was nervous on the inside. I gave her an encouraging pat on the back and said,

“You’ll do fine.” She replied with a small nod and we waited for one another’s turn.

Ellen’s POV~

The next day; I couldn’t help but feel butterflies in my stomach. They were going to post the students who made it to the singing performance competition and they would also post the order in which we will perform. I was scared to check but I knew I needed to see for myself whether I made it or not. I kept my eyes hidden and when I reached the bulletin, I peeked through one eye and saw the list, my jaw dropping to the floor.

Chanshik’s POV~

“Hey CHashik, are you and Ellen going out?” Jing Young asks coming up to me. I raise an eye brow and ask him,

“No why would you ask?”

“Nothing really, you guys just seem close.” I look at Ellen and we lock eyes for a second before I turn away blushing. Do we seem to look like a couple? I look around and see her laughing and talking with Sun Woo. I don’t know why but I had this weird feeling at the base of my stomach. Once they were done I asked him,

“Hey what were you guys talking about?” He shrugged his shoulders and said,

“She just wanted my opinion on some songs she might do.” Why didn’t she asks me for my opinion?

Ellen’s POV~

My instrumental audio for the song wasn’t working.

“Ne Chanshik? Do you think I can use your IPod to search my song? My CD isn’t’ working for some reason.” He nodded and when he handed me his IPod, our hand gently grazed each other and I felt a small spark. I looked up at him and he only gave me a small smile.

“Th-thanks.” I said.

Chashik’s POV~

Ellen was on stage practicing another song. Every rehearsal she would do a different song, trying out each one. I think they were all amazing though, each one she out in so much emotion and energy. It was mesmerizing.

“Dude you’re drooling.” Dong Woo said with a chuckle. I felt myself blush and said,

“No I’m not.”

“Yeah you are, you always stare at Ellen when she sings.” Jung Hwan piped in, yet I knew they were right. Why was I paying so much attention to Ellen?

Ellen’s POV~

The third act just finished and the fourth act was up. After him it would be me. I was shaking in my shoes and I couldn’t help but feel a whole swarm of butterflies in my stomach.

“Calm down Ellen, you’ll do great.” I spun around and saw Chashik giving me an encouraging nod.

“Fighting!~” He chanted and I couldn’t help but smile at his positive attitude. I heard the crowd cheer and knew it was my turn next.

Chashik’s POV~

I couldn’t help but blush and have a dorky smile spread across my face. When Ellen stepped onto the stage she introduced herself and said,

“I wanted to dedicate this song to a friend of mine, Chashik. Please cheer him on after me.”

She put a spell on every one of the audience members, engulfing me as well with her rich voice. Nobody even dared to breathe after she finished her performance. Once she finished, I was supposed to wait for her to get off stage, yet I didn’t. I ran up and gently took her by the hand. I placed her next to me and announced,

“The ironic thing is, I’m dedicating my song to Ellen as well. Will you stay by my side while I sing for you, Ellen?”
