Youngmi's POV~

"Excuse me, do you by chance have Mr. Chan's Algebra II book?" I ask the librarian. She looks at me over her glasses and gives out an annoyed sigh.

"You're the second person to ask me that, there should be one copy. See if you can find it in the textbook section." I thank her and run off. I need that book to study off of!

L. Joe's POV~

Algebra II, Algebra II...Aha! Found it!

"Come here you stupid trouble making book." I say to myself and reach for it.Funy, it won't come off of the shelf. I pull harder and yet it won't budge.

"What kind of a joke is this?!" I hear a high pitched voice coming from the other side of the aisle. I look in between the books and see a girl pulling on the book.

"Excuse me but I need the book for finals." I say trying not to sound too mean. She gives me a merong sign and replies,

"Too bad,I need it more you jerk!" Tch.

"Hey is that C.A.P from Teen Top?" I ask pointing to the back. She turns around which gives me a perfect opportunity to snatch the book from her.

"er!" I yell and run off. Funny thing is, I never saw her around before.

"Class meet our newest student, Cho Youngmi'' Crap, it's the girl from before.

Youngmi's POV~

I point to the guy in the back corner not caring how stupid I'll look.

"You're the dooche-bag who took the book from me yesterday!" He yawns and points to himself.

"Me?" I roll my eyes and say,

"I can't forget the jerk who ran off with the book I needed!"

"M-Miss Cho? I think it would be best if you kept your voice down." My teacher said and I blushed.

"Sorry."

"That's quite alright, you may sit in the front next to Taeyeon." I nod and take my seat. As I sit down I hear people whispering,

"She's cute...until she opens ."

"You have a girlfriend dude."

L.Joe's POV~

As soon as class ended, Youngmi came up to me holding out a hand.

"Book." She said and I shook my head.

"Book, now."

"How about a please?" I ask.

"I'd rather not talk to you so much. Book, now." I smirk and lean in so she has no choice but to look me in the eye.

"You go on a date with me, I'll give you your book." What? I cna't help it, I'm a guy. She's pretty cute too.

Youngmi's POV~

Ehh?! I would've rejected the offer but I really need that book.

"Deal. Where and when?" I ask. He chuckles and says,

"You're no fun. Today after school, karaoke." I nod and walk away not even bothering to hear the rest of his snarky comments.

L.Joe's POV~

"Try to beat that! If you do, I'll give you they textbook." I say holding out the mic to Youngmi. I scored a 96. She gives me a cocky yet hesitant smile and says,

"Piece of cake." She takes the microphone and choose JYP's "If."

Youngmi's POV~

I was almost done the song when my throat began hurting. Please, not now.

"How can you get a 98?!" I heard L. Joe say before I began coughing.

"Hey are you ok?" He asks. I fall to my knees and begin coughing. A hint of blood comes out of my mouth.

"Yeah, sorry you had to see that. I usually don't sing or rather, can't stress my throat too much." I say. He looks at me with a worried look and I playfully punch him,

"Don't pity me, I don't need it."

L.Joe's POV~

Even though she was in so much pain a while ago, she gives me a warm smile that causes me to blush. I take out the text book and hand it to her.

"You beat my score, it's yours." She takes it and grins.

"Thanks. I'm kind of behind in algebra." I chuckle.

"Same here." It was quiet until I said,

"Wanna study together sometime?" She smiles and replies,

"I'd like that."

* Sorry if it didn't match your genre description >.< I know you said sad in beginning but I ended up making it somewhat sad in middle and happy in the end haha XD Hope you still enjoyed it though~
