[Title] The Man Opposed

[Story Type] Romantic Comedy, Fluff

[Plot/Setting] YoungWon and Ae have been friends for the passed four years. They secretly liked each other but didn't want to ruin their friendship. One day a boy asks Ae out on a date. Ae goes to tell YoungWon hoping maybe he'd confess but instead he cheers his best friend on. Ae plays it off and goes on the date but wishes she was on the date with YoungWon instead. YoungWon's friends try and convince him to go find Ae and confess before it's too late.

 Ae's POV~

"Ne ne YoungWon. Are you coming to the school meet today?" I ask eagerly. He ruffles my hair and says,

"Probably, why?" I blush,

"No reason. So I'll see you then-" I began but bumped into our school's kingka, Jaebum. 

"S-sorry." I stuttered out,

"I'll leave you guys then. See you around Ae." YoungWon says.

"It was my fault, I should've watched where I was going." Jaebum says chuckling.

"So.." I say trying to start a conversation.

"So..." He mimicks me and gives me his killer smile that girls swoon over.

YoungWon's POV~" 

"YoungWon! Guess what happened?!" Ae asks tackling me when the school meet was about to start.

"You finally realized how you look like a frog?" I asked in a joking manner. She playfully punched me and said,

"Shut up, no I mean guess who asked me out?!" My heart began beating like crazy,

"Wh-who?" I stutter out. Ae replies smugly,

"Our school's kingka, Jaebum." I tightened my fists, not knowing why I was feeling jealous.

Ae's POV~

Will YoungWon finally confess to me? He took a deep breath and gave me an encouraging smile. YoungWon please tell me how you feel about me!

"That's great Ae, I hope you two will have a great time. Fighting!" He says and gives me an awkward pat on the shoulder. I tried to hide my hurt and dissapointment. If he won't confess, I will.

"YoungWon, you know I-" He cuts me off by pointing to the entrance and says,

"Oh look, there's your prince charming. You don't want to keep him waiting now do you princess?" He said and gave me a small smile. I nodded and walked off in the direction of Jaebum.

"Ready to go?" He asks. I nod and smile. I mumble,

"I wanted YoungWon to be my prince."

"Sorry? Did you say something?" Jaebum asks. I shake my head and we head off toward the front gate, exiting the school grounds.

YoungWon's POV~

"Dude, you ok? You look like you're ready to punch someone." Daniel asked me. I gave him a weak smile and said,

"Yeah, sorry I'm just thinking about-"

"Ae?" He finished for me.

"Look man, I know you probably don't wanna admit it, but I see how you look at her. Why'd you let her go off with Jaebum-hyung?" I wanted to answer him, but I couldn't. There really wasn't a good reason in my mind. I got up and ran for the exit.

"Ae, wait for me." I said.

Ae's POV~

"Are you ok? You seem sad." Jaebum asks me with concern written over his face. I try to give him a warm smile and reply,

"I'm fine. So how'd you find this place?" I ask.

"I just walked around the school and noticed a small opening and here we are. In the back garden of the school." He say. I giggle and as I was about to ask him something, I saw him leaning in. Oh no, what would YoungWon say? Wait, why am I thinking about him? He doesn't even care about me. I thought, maybe if I opened up to Jaebum, I could get over YougnWon. I was about to lean in when the garden's doors burst open.

"YoungWon? Why are you breathing heavily and sweating?" Jaebum asks. YoungWon ignores his quesiton and grabs me by the wrist.

"Sorry, I'll be taking her." He says and drags me away.

YoungWon's POV~

I looked all over the place and she wouldn't even pick up her phone.

"Yah YoungWon!" She yells in protest.

"I've been loooking everywhere for you Ae, why didn't you pick up your phone?" She blushes and doesn't look at me.

"Why do you care where I was with Jaebum?" Tch, there she goes, talking about Jaebum again. I don't know why but I pulled her into a kiss by the waist. She didn't fight back, she only kissed me back.

"What was that for?" She asks. I chuckle and say,

"I like you Ae, a lot. I didn't really want to mention it before because..well.. I didn't wanna ruin our friendship we had." I can feel myself blushing. She giggles and playfully punches me.

"Pabo, I like you too."
