Part 13

Fight! Fight! Fight!

I sprinted out to the courtyard where I saw Jonghyun aggressively toss Taemin to the ground. I watched Taemin flinched from the pain as he skidded across the concrete ground like a stone skipping on top of a river.

“Stop!” I attempted to lunge towards them when Key blocked me. “I need to stop them before someone gets majorly hurt! Or worse, both of them will bloodily bleed to death or murder each other!”
 

“No,” Key sternly stated as he quickly caged me into his arms, watching the fight unravel. “They're guys. The only way they can communicate with each other right now is with their fists. These two need to work it out.”

I watched as Jonghyun landed a punch on Taemin.

“Let me go!” I squirmed in his arms. By this point, a crowd had formed around them, hooting and a hollering like animals unleashed from a zoo.

“I don't understand what your problem is!” Jonghyun yelled at him after the punch.

Taemin quickly recovered and kicked Jonhyun in the gut, “You're my problem.”

Jonghyun furiously tackled him, “What did I ever do to you?”

“You left me when I needed you the most,” Taemin quickly dodged Jonghyun who was hurdling towards him.

“That was years ago,” Jonghyun replied. “Let it go,”

“I can't. You abandoned me when you were my guardian, always protecting me. With you gone, all of the troubles in our family doubled, with only me left to take care of it all.” With each of the sentences spat out in rage, Taemin threw punches at Jonghyun who skillfully dodged them.

“I had no choice. It was the only way I could be happy. It was either leave you or leave _____,” Jonghyun explained, totally winded and surprised at how swift Taemin's punches were.

“Yeah, but within time, you ended up doing both. _____ would do anything for you and you left her. She made you the happiest I had ever seen you in your whole life and you left her. She loved you wholeheartedly. Just like you left me without a single thought or care in the world as to how it would affect the other person, you left her.” With that said, Taemin finally firmly landed a hard punch on the side of Jonghyun's face.

Jonghyun wiped the dripping blood off of his face and stood up, staggering towards Taemin, “You may have known me most of my life, but you know nothing about me.” He violently kicked Taemin in the gut. “You can't criticize me about the decisions I've made,” He angrily punched Taemin's right cheek, “You can't say anything because you don't know what kind of position I'm in,” He punched Taemin on the left cheek, “You don't know a thing, your just my younger, naïve brother” Jonghyun was ready to hurl the last punch.

“STOP!” I managed to yank myself out of Key's grasps and jump in front of Jonghyun and Taemin.

Jonghyun's fist ceased it's motion about a couple inches away from my face.

“Get out of my way _____,” He violently hissed.

“No,” I stubbornly stated.

“This isn't your fight,” Jonghyun barked.

“It is my fight if you're gonna injure Taemin,” I defended.

“Why do you even care about him? You barely know him. You just shack up in his apartment like the freeloader you are, doing who knows what to 'pay' for your debts.”
 

I glared into Jonghyun's eyes, “I care about him because he visited his deceased abusive mom when you never did. Because he was there for me when you weren't. Because he stayed with me when I felt lonely. Because he took care of me when I still longed for you. Because he never gave up on me when you did.” I slowly helped the limp Taemin up, “Instead of running away from his problems, he faces them head on. Instead of hiding away like a coward and spreading rumors just to save his reputation, he would bravely face the consequences. He may be a stranger to me, but he has more guts than you ever did.”

With that said, I helped the wounded Taemin to the nurses office.

“Ouch,” Taemin flinched as I gently washed and applied medicine to his bloody gashes.

“Sorry,” I apologized, still intently concentrating on trying to fix up the broken boy in front of me. “Sorry, for not being able to help you. Key was holding me back.”

Taemin chuckled, but flinched as it caused him more pain. He gently lifted my chin up so that I stared directly into those sorrowful, sincere, and in pain eyes.

“Don't apologize. There was nothing you could do. I provoked Jonghyun anyway,”

I sighed, “Next time, please don't physically fight with each other.”

“Hey, he's the one who pulled me out to fight.” Taemin stubbornly stated, “I can't back down once something like that happens. Plus, I was winning anyway!” Taemin yelled in pain when I applied the medicine.

“First off, if it wasn't for me, you're sorry would be in the hospital right now knocked out.” I commented as I put the first aid kit away. “Acting stubborn and cocky.” I disappointingly shook my head as I finally closed the cabinet. “Keep acting like that and you won't have many friends.”

“I don't need friends.” Taemin wrapped his arms around me, giving me a tight back hug. “All I need is you,”

“Taemin,” I softly spoke, “Not here.”

He kissed the back of my neck. “_____, you mean the world to me. I would never hurt you.” His kisses trailed up and down my neck, sending butterflies throughout my body. “Just let me prove to you that I'm better than Jonghyun.”

“Taemin,” I mumbled, needing him to stop because we needed to get to class. However, my body was heating up, loving his lips on my skin. My body desperately wanted more.

“Yah,” A sudden voice spoke. Taemin and I ceased our actions, glancing over at the doorway.

“Taemin, the principal wants to see you in her office. NOW.” Key crossed his arms, leaning against the door's frame.

I gave Taemin a worried glance and he just gave me a rather weak assuring smile.

“Don't worry, I'll be fine.” He kissed me on the forehead and left, leaving Key and I awkwardly standing there alone.

“So he your new boyfriend?” Key bluntly asked.

“N-no,” I stuttered, looking down, “It isn't like that,”

“Sure looked like it,” Key smirked. “So you're just playing with his feelings?”

“No, I'm just-” I snapped my head up to realize Key's face was only a couple inches away from me.

“What is it then, ____?” He eyed me carefully, “Do you just want to get over Jonghyun? Do you just want a new boy toy?” He started intimidatingly circling me. Suddenly, he leaned down next to my ear, “Or do you possibly just want to make Jonghyun jealous and steal him back?” I looked into Key's eyes.

“I-” I stopped. What was I suppose to say? Am I just playing with Taemin? No, I don't think so. Then why don't you ever tell him you like him or confess to him? Why do you always push Taemin away? Why does Jonghyun constantly come to the back of your mind twenty-four seven? You don't ever reply to Taemin's confessions because you still like Jonghyun. Does that mean you want him back?

“Seems to me like Jonghyun might not be the one in the wrong here. He just lost feelings for you. But here you are playing with his younger brother, just to get him back,” Key slid his hands into his pockets and started to walk out, “I wonder what Jonghyun would say if I told him this?”

My eyes quickly left the floor and snapped up to say something to Key. However, by the time I looked up, Key was already gone.

I should be studying for exams right now.....

OH WELL! =) After this quick update, I'll study hard!
