2 days before the wedding….

"Are you all set nie? Wala ka na naiwan?" tanong ni Wendy kay Irene na nilolock na ang main door. Kinakarga naman ni Wendy ang mga gamit nila sa likod ng kotse ni Lisa na nagpresentang maghatid sa kanila. Nasa front seat na si Rosè at umiinom ng avocado shake.

"Yep. I got everything" sagot naman ni Irene. Napatingin din siya sa iniinom ni Rosè at lumapit sa dalawang nasa likod at bumulong. "Is that avocado I smell na iniinom niya?"

Tumango na lang si Lisa. "I know boss. It's so weird pero yan ang trip niya lately" pabulong na sagot niya.

Nang mailagay na ang mga maleta nila ay nagsimula na silang bumiyahe papunta sa NAIA.

"We'll see you guys in a few days ha" bulong ni Wendy kay Lisa habang binababa ang mga gamit.

"Yes mehn. We'll be on our best suits and dresses. Buti na lang din madaling nakausap nila Boss Tiffany yung client about this trip"

"Wannie, inaantay na daw tayo nila Yeri and Saeron sa check in counter" sabi ni Irene na lumapit na sa kanila.

Nakalagay na sa trolley ang mga gamit nila pero bago pa sila pumasok talaga ay nagbilin muna ang kanilang tl sa dalawa niyang ahente.

"Guys, kayo na muna bahala sa account ha. I won't be able to check up on you for a few days"

Nakangiti naman ang magasawa. "Don't worry boss. Hinding hindi namin papabayaan ang account natin"

"O siya, pasok na kami ha"

Nagyakapan muna silang apat bago tuluyang pumasok ng departure entrance sina Wendy at Irene.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, we have now arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Please wait until the seat belt sign is turned off before you leave your seats" sabi nung isang FA. After a few minutes lang, namatay na din ang ilaw ng seat belt at nagtayuan na ang mga pasahero.

Inabot na ni Wendy ang mga gamit nila sa upper compartment, medyo nahirapan kaya inaassist naman siya agad nung napadaang FA. Pagkakuha ng mga gamit ay lumabas na sila ng airplane. Dumaan sa customs bago makarating sa baggage area.

Nasa waiting area na naman din ang mga magulang ni Wendy na naunang dumating sa kanila the previous day. Agad silang nakita at lumabas na din papunta sa sasakyang nakaabang.

May two days pa para sa main event kaya naman ay ng makapagcheck in na sa kanya.kanyang rooms ay naisip na gumala muna nung apat.

Naghiwalay ng pupuntahan ang apat, magkasama ang magkapatid na gustong magshopping muna kaya si Wendy at Saeron ang magkasama.

"Ate Wendy, anong oras dating ng flight ng tropa?" tanong ni Saeron habang naglalakad sila sa mga shops malapit sa hotel.

"8AM ang arrival nila. Sakto lang din dahil hapon naman ang wedding"

"Nakabili ka na ba ng gift para kay ate Irene?"

Natigil maglakad si Wendy. "Ha? Anong gift?"

Napakamot naman ng ulo si Saeron. "Di ba usually nagbibigay ng gift ang mga ikakasal sa papakasalan nila?"

Nanlaki naman ang mata ni Wendy. "! Di nga? Kaya ba inaya ni Yeri si Irene?"

Tumango na lang ang kausap. At dahil dun, nahila na din si Saeron papunta sa mall.

The day…

"This is it Wendy. It's the day you two have been waiting for. I hope you don't have any doubts in that head of yours"

"There was never a doubt to begin with. I'm 100% all in"

"I know she's in good hands. You take care of her"

"I will… Mr. Bae" nakangiting sagot ni Wendy at nagkamayan na sila.

"How are you feeling?"

"I don't know if there's any word to describe what I'm feeling right now. All I know is that I...I love her so much!"

"And we all know how much she loves you too Irene" sagot naman ni Mrs. Son.

Kumpleto ang tropa. Lahat nakaayos. May ilan na naiiyak at pilit pinipigilan. Any moment now, bubukas ang main door ng venue.

Sa kanang bahagi ng venue pagpasok sa lugar ay andun si Mr. and Mrs. Son, at ang ate ni Wendy na si Seunghee. Andun din ang mga groom's women na sina Saeron, Lisa, Jisoo, Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Ayaka, Ryujin at Yeji habang si Seulgi ay nasa likuran ni Wendy. Sa kaliwang side naman ay ang mga magulang ni Irene, si Yeri at siyempre ang mga brides' maids na sina Jennie, Nayeon, Mina, Momo, Sana, Yuna, Lia at Chaeryoung. Sumenyas ang isang coordinator kay Dahyun at nagsimula niyang tugtugin ang mga tiklado ng piano at nagsimula nading kumanta si Rosè.

Bumukas ang malaking pinto at lalong lumiwanag ang lugar. Lumakad papunta sa gitna sina Mr. and Mrs. Bae, tumigil at tumingin sa likod, ilang segundo lang ay nagpakita na din si Irene. Suot ang wedding gown na pinadisenyo sa isang sikat na mananahi. Sa malayo pa lang ay nagkatinginan na si Wendy at Irene, at nagsalubong ng ngiti, pero ang mas nakapagpalaki ng ngiti ni Irene ay nang makita niya ang magulang niya na inaantay siya sa gitna. Nagbabadya ang mga luhang bumagsak sa kanyang mata pero naisip na masisira ang make up niya.

Nagsimulang maglakad si Irene papunta sa mga magulang niya, hindi siya masyadong makareact. Kahit sobra ang sayang nararamdaman niya sa fact na andito sila sa kasal niya, she can’t wait to marry the person waiting for her at the end of the altar. Isa pa sa ikinagulat niya ay ang pagkakumpleto ng kanilang mga kaibigan. She has a lot of questions right now pero those can wait.

Nang makarating na ay nagkamayan si Mr. Bae at Wendy at bumeso naman si Mrs. Bae. Nagharap si Irene at Wendy at parehong naluluha sa sayang nararamdaman nila. Kinuha ni Wendy ang mga kamay ni Irene at sumabay sa pagkanta na si Irene lang ang nakakarinig.

Nakaupo na ang lahat at nagsimula ng magsalita ang officiant.

“First, I’d like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking each and every one of you for being here on this most happy of days. It’s no accident that each of you are here today, and each of you were invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of Wendy and Irene. I know there’s none but I have to ask, is there anyone who is against the union of these two lovely brides? Speak now or forever hold your peace”

Lumingon sa likod si Irene at Wendy at nakipagtitigan lang sandali sa mga kaibigan. Alam naman nilang walang tututol. Matapos ang ilang segundo ay nagtuloy na sa ceremony flow ang officiant.

Oras na para sa pagbibigay ng kani-kanilang vows at unang magsasalita si Irene. Inabot ni Joy ang phone nito ay binuksan ang memos. Hawak ang isang kamay ni Wendy (dahil may taga hawak naman ng mic)

Huminga muna ng malalim para mapigilan saglit ang mga luhang nagbabadyang bumagsak.

"We've come a long way for us to get here. We had a rough start but we fought our way to be where we are now. I know I am not the easiest person to be with especially with my mood swings. But I got lucky… because you have the patience of a saint. From the moment I realize I was attracted to you, I knew that this is it. She's the one and here we are now. I stand here in front of you and everyone to promise that I will be with you through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, through richer or poorer, I will always love you"

Parehong nagpipigil ng mga luha, dahil alam nila na once tumulo ang mga luha nila ay hindi nila matatapos ang mga vows na prinepare nila. Naka.ilang lunok ng laway si Wendy bago siya magsimulang magsalita.

"Up until this morning, I couldn't find the right words to say…shocking I know cause I know I'm a blabbermouth" natawa ang mga guests at siyempre si Irene. "I have been waiting for this moment to come. Some things happened along the way but we faced all of them head on. Nie, I cannot promise you a life without any fights or disagreements but I will make sure everyday that we will talk about it and fix it as soon as possible, a life without problems or trials but I will make sure that I will be with you to overcome those. No matter what happens, as long as we are together facing the battlefield, we will win this war of life. I've proven this a couple of times already and will still be keeping my promise… that I will fight for my life just to get back to you. I love you so much. I always have and I always will"

May ilan pang sinabi ang officiant bago ang huling basbas.

"You may now kiss your wife"

Reception…

Katatapos lang ng dinner at kakaserve lang ng mga champagne para sa susunod na part ng program. Nasabihan na ang mga kailangan pumunta sa harap before hand.

"We'd like to call on the best woman to the stage to say a few words for our newly weds" sabi nung host at tumayo naman agad si Seulgi, hawak ang isang glass ng champagne.

"Aah.. aah" ti-nest muna ang mic. "Hi, my name is Seulgi Kang. I've known Wendy for almost ten years now and we are the best of friends. I've been with her thru all the she's been through, and… I can attest that Wendy is one of the strongest people I know to overcome those things. I was there during her first heartbreak, first accident, first wasak moment, and many more. She's my platonic soulmate and we have a certificate to prove that" tawanan ang mga guests, nag.finger gun naman sa isa’t isa ang mag-best friend. "Knowing Wendy the way I do, I know she deserves everything she has now. Boss Irene and Wendy are perfect for each other. They're like the missing piece of each other's puzzle. And I wish nothing more but for them to have the best in their married life. I love you both!"

Sunod na tinawag ang maids of honor, dalawa sila kasi hindi makapagdecide si Irene on the last minute bago pumunta ng reception. Sabay na tumayo at pumunta sa harap ng lahat.

"Hi everyone. My name is Joy Park, agent ni Boss Irene, girlfriend ni Seulgi at ang pinakamagandang kaibigan ni Wendy" panimula ni Joy, sabay hairflip, tawanan na naman ang iba. "Since Seulgi talked about Wendy, I'm going to talk about both of them. Una pa lang, super crush na ni Wendy si Boss, if I'm not mistaken, first day pa lang ng training nila, tinamaan na siya. Ang daming ganap bago namin nalamang sila na pala. We've had our suspicions but we waited until they finally told, well showed everyone. That trip was super memorable. I didn't know how Wendy was in a relationship before pero with what she shared and what I see now, she's the type of person na super kung mageffort and ibibigay lahat para sa taong iyon. Hindi lang madalas pinapakita ni boss, pero kinikilig yun everytime. They really are perfect for each other kasi OTP ko sila. Congratulations and best wishes, Wendy and Boss Irene!"

Binigay ni Joy ang mic kay Yeri. "Good evening everyone. My name is Yerim Bae, but just call me Yeri. I am the younger sister of Irene, this beautiful bride right here. Ganda ng genes namin noh?" tawanan na naman sila at may pabirong iling galing sa girlfriend. "Ate Irene and I... never really talked about marriage before until I found out that Wendy proposed to her. We were never the kind of sisters who share stories with each other or braid each other's hair as we talk about our crushes. No, we were never like that.  She may not show it because most of the time, she has this poker face on but I know how much she cares about me. We fight most of the time but that's our way of loving each other. Weird, I know. But the first time I saw Ate Irene with Wendy, we weren't in a good place that time as well, I saw how in love she was. Cringe level. And I didn't like it that time, I was also against the idea of any union between two women but tell you what, I changed my mind a few months after. Love you Saeron" may sumagot din ng 'love you too'.

"Ate Wendy, I know that my sister is in good hands and that you will love her as long as you both shall live, maybe even beyond that. So I have no worries about the future. And to my sister, Ate Irene" medyo teary eyed na sila pareho. "I know and can see how happy you are with Ate Wendy. You both been through a lot but you guys, fought together to come to this day. And this is just the start of another chapter in your lives. From this day on, WenRene shall forever rise"

Inangat ang mga hawak na glass ng champagne at nagcheers sa bagong kasal.

The next part was the first dance of the newlyweds at pumunta sa gitna ng dancefloor si Wendy at Irene.Nagsimulang tumutugtog ang banda at naghanda na ang wedding singer nilang si Rosé.

Naiyak na agad si Irene at niyakap lang ng mahigpit ang tatay niya. Di pa din makapaniwalang andito ang parents niya, sa kasal niya sa taong sa simula pa lang ay ayaw nila para sa kanya.

Tinapik tapik nito ang likod ng anak niya. "We were blinded by our old beliefs but we see how happy you are Joohyun. And your mother and I won't ever get in the way. No one can ever compare to what Wendy did to you, when she saved your life. That was one hell of a wake up call for us. We love you and Yeri so much, we may have a different way of showing it, and we are proud of everything you both have become"

Humihikbi pa din si Irene habang nagsasayaw sila ng tatay niya. "Thanks dad. You don't know how much this means to me"

"We’ll just set another time for us to gather as a family, but for now, I'll give you back to your wife so I can dance with your mother"

Nagpalitan ng mga kasayaw si Irene at Wendy at nang magkahawak na ulit silang dalawa ay tila ba nagslow-mo na naman ang paligid nila. Magkatitig, nakangiti, at puno ng pagmamahal. This is just the start of a new chapter in their story.

Matapos ang mga sayaw at iba pang games ay bumalik ang host at inannounce na may special performances ang mga bagong kasal para sa isa't isa. Nakaupo silang dalawa sa gitna ng dance floor pero naunang tumayo si Irene at dahil last minute preparation ay ang mga kaibigan nila ang tutugtog.

"This is for my wife, Wendy" sabi ni Irene ng nakangiting malaki. Hindi rin matago ang pagkamula ni Wendy.
