Kii arrived after Miyoung left, carrying a few bottled drinks and snacks, and sat beside him. He noticed Seokjin looking over. "The nurse said Rii needs light snacks after the procedure and lots of liquids in the next two days."

Seokjin nodded. He took a mental note to buy everything that Eri needs and stock up the hanok because he's going to ask her to stay with him while she recuperates. He thinks there's a high chance she'd agree because she wouldn’t want to burden Kii back at his place when he has work at the shop and Miyoung would be taking care of their mother in the hospital so there won't be anyone around in their house.

"You don't have to worry about Jungkook." Kibum said, also staring at the door of the room where Eri is currently in.

Seokjin turned to Kibum. His jealousy was probably that obvious.

"If you're going to be worried over any of Rii's ex, it's not Jungkook." Kibum added. "She wasn't as distraught with her break-up with Jungkook as she was with Leo."

Now that he thinks about it, there was one boyfriend of Eri that Miyoung had mentioned with the family for years. If he remembered correctly, their relationship started in university, and that continued after university as working adults. In comparison to the few months with Jungkook, that one definitely is more of a threat for him. Could it possibly be that this Leo guy was her first boyfriend? Even if Seokjin was Eri's first love, they actually didn't get together.

"But of course it's not my right to share." Kibum continued. "As her bestfriend, who's been with her all her life except for the two years in high school when she was with you, I'm telling you no need to worry about Jungkook. So if you plan to take her to your place after this, I won't stop you, but please take care of her and genuinely trust her."

Seokjin plans to do just that. He might ask her about it, but he'll make sure he won't force her if she's not ready to share. He'll wait.

Eri and Seokjin arrived at her family home.

Because of her state after donating blood, Seokjin drove her home and will accompany her until Miyoung comes home later in the evening. She had left the keys to her car for Kii to drive home.

They didn't talk throughout the duration of the drive.

The exhaustion obvious on her face. From the school board presentation this morning, to the accident, to her going through tests, to finally donating blood, it had been a long day for her.

He opens the door for her and heads straight to the kitchen. Taking off his coat and folding his sleeves to his elbow. "You go rest, I'll call you when dinner is ready."

But instead of heading to the couch or upstairs to rest, she settles on one of the chairs at the dining table.

Seokjin didn't ask her or scold her. A part of him would like to think that she wanted to spend a bit more time with him to soothe him since she insisted on going back home instead of letting him take care of her at his hanok. One by one he takes out the ingredients from the refrigerator and settles them on the counter.

With his back on her. She starts, "I just want to be here when mom gets home."

Earlier after donating blood, Eri went to visit her mother's private room. The family agreed that Sangwoo will accompany Sunhee tonight then Miyoung will take-over tomorrow morning. Eri volunteered to also accompany her mother but Sunhee herself said that Eri should rest and recuperate first. The rest of the family agreed as the nurse did say that she needs to be monitored in the next two to three days. This was the perfect time for Seokjin to take care of Eri, reasoning that Kibum will be busy with his newly opened shop and the family will be busy with Sunhee so he offered to look after her in the coming days. While Miyoung and Sunhee didn't oppose Seokjin and welcomed the idea, Sangwoo was apprehensive. Right now, he isn't just Seokjin's uncle but also Eri's step-father. He voiced out that the current situation is different from last week when Eri was purely a guest at Seokjin's place. Even though Sangwoo didn't say out loud what Seokjin and Eri are right now, he did imply and everyone understood. He was just looking out for both his nephew and step-daughter. He knew the drama going around town and he didn't want to add to that.

Eri herself also declined, she thanked Seokjin for his good intentions and appreciated Sangwoo's concern, but said she prefers to move from Kibum's place to home this time.
