"Ms. Bae, I’m sorry for suddenly asking you to come to my office” Kang Yuri, Chairman of KYR Group talking to Bae Joohyun or Irene, senior manager at one of the departments in his company

"It’s okay, sir. May I know why you ask me to come to your office?" Irene asked politely. She worried if she do something that not pleased Mr. Kang because their big boss rarely call someone to meet him personally without an urgent reason

Mr. Kang chuckled seeing Irene look nervous "Don't worry, Ms. Bae. The reason I call you today is not because of work but personal"

Irene confused "Em…what is it, sir?"

Mr. Kang smiles widely "You're still single, right?"

Irene was shocked by the question "How do you know?"

"You don't need to know where I got the info. Just tell me, is it true or not?"

Irene slowly nods "Yes"

Then Mr. Kang sit straight "Good, I want you to marry my younger daughter" he stated

Irene's eyes turned wide and her face turned pale immediately "Seriously?"

The boss nodded his head "I'm serious. This is not request, this is my command"

"Why me, sir? There are a lot of men or women who suit her and are on the same level as your family. I not the right person"

Mr. Kang smiles at Irene "I know but only believe you to deal with her antics. One thing that you must remember is that Kang Seulgi is arrogant and hard-headed, unlike Seungwan. I want Seulgi to change her attitude before she joins this company. I and my wife trust you to take care of her"

Irene sigh and massage her nose bridge "I don't trust myself"

"I trust you, Irene. When you successfully change her to be a better person, you can ask anything from me. Promotion? High salary? Shares? Anything you can ask" Mr. Kang try negotiate with Irene

Irene stares at the middle aged man, making eye contact with him "Is there no other way besides getting married to her?”

“You can’t control her if both of you don’t have relationship. If you two married, it’ll make you have rights on her. Don’t worry, Irene. This marriage not involving contract. I wish you’ll be her lifetime partner. You and Seungwan are close friend. I heard a lot about you from Seungwan. It’s her who suggest this to us”

Since she don’t want to disappoint the elder, Irene bravely take the risk “Okay then, I agree”

Mr. Kang smiles "Thanks Irene. Thank you very much" they shake hand "I will tell my wife that you are agree then we will discuss your wedding"

Irene goes back to her office with a grumpy face. Her best friend quickly approached her "Unnie, what with that face?" Moonbyul asked with curiosity

"Talk at my office" Irene said then Moonbyul go to Irene’s office follow by Yeri, Jennie, Joy and Jisoo go to Irene office

"Tell us now" Jennie already impatient because Irene suddenly summoned by their chairman

Irene tells everything that she talked with Mr. Kang earlier. Her friends also showing shock reaction as they heard what she said

"No wonder you looked lifeless, unnie" Joy said

"So that's mean you will be Mr. Kang‘s daughter-in-law?" asked Jennie

"Yes" Irene answer lazily

Suddenly someone knocked the door and that was Solar "Hi everyone~" she grin

"Hi unnie, have a seat" said Yeri and Solar join them on the couch

"You're not busy today?" Jisoo asked

"Not busy because today Seungwan is taking leave"

"That’s why you can hangouts with us" they chuckle because if Seungwan is working, Solar rarely have no time to roam around

"Rene, I saw you return from Mr. Kang's office just now. What happened?" Solar ask curiously

Irene sigh again and she answer Solar question "Mr. Kang ask me to marry his younger daughter"

"Oh" Solar response calmly

"Yah, why did you look relaxed? You’re not shocked?" Irene nudging Solar because she look don't care

"Because I knew about this beforehand" everyone surprised by her answer

"Seriously?!"

"Yep, I am Seungwan’s secretary so of course I know a lot of things. She told me about this last week. I also shock when she told me because I know how bad Kang Seulgi attitude"

"Is she that bad?" Irene furrowed her eyebrow

"She is Satan spawn. Kang Seulgi is the most arrogant person I know. I used to join her for Seungwan lunch. She didn't even say a word to me. I feel like I'm not exist between them. Only Seungwan talk to me"

"Aigoooo"

"Important things that you should know is that she is high maintenance. Do remember that she is a spoiled brat. Kang Seulgi is also a party lover. She is totally different from Kang Seungwan. No one literally expect that they are sisters if judging from their attitude" Solar pat Irene shoulder

"Does Seungwan unnie agree with this arrangement?" Jennie asking

"She's the one who suggested this but she feels sorry for Irene because Irene needs to deal with her sister. They don’t know what else they could do to tame her. The last resort is to arrange her marriage. The Kang family is also having a hard time looking for a good spouse for Seulgi. Lastly Seungwan suggested Irene because Irene has a strong personality and is tough. You’re their only hope, Rene”

"Talking about Seungwan unnie, where is she?" Yeri asked

"She goes to Jeju with her wife. Mr. Kwon’s company opening a new branch so she attend the event with Eunbi"

Irene and Seungwan walk in the hallway, leaving Mr. Kang’s office. They talked about the wedding that will be held two months from now. Even though it is still long, Irene already feels nervous. Seungwan and her parents treat her nicely but she wonders what will happen if she meets with her future wife because right now Seulgi is still in Beijing. The girl will return next week.

"Unnie, you look nervous. Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Just a little bit nervous"

Seungwan chuckled, "I understand. I was also nervous before my wedding but you're actually nervous because of Seulgi, right?"

"Practically"

"You heard a lot about her from mom and dad. What they said is true. I don't know how to handle her and that is why we agreed to arrange her wedding. I know you can do this because I have known you since before and you are a good woman. I trust you to take care of her"

"Thank you because you trust me and your parents too. I will try my best for this and will be good wife to her" Irene say with confident

"No problem. Mom and dad also like you a lot”

"I appreciate that" Irene smile sincerely

"Next week Seulgi will come back. Do you want to pick her up at the airport?" Seungwan ask

"I think I can't go because I busy that day"

"It's okay. You can meet her next weekend at home. Don't forget to come"

"Alright" then both of them return to their own office

Mr. Kang and his family gather in the living room because Mr. Kang wants to tell Seulgi about the wedding arrangement. Irene also joins them because the elder invites her to come.

"Dad mom, why are we suddenly having a gathering? You don't tell me we have event today" Seulgi said without spare glance to Irene

"Actually Seulgi, we have something to tell you" Mrs. Kang said

"What is it, mom?"

Mr. Kang looked at his wife then he talked "We want you to marry this woman. She is Bae Joohyun"

"WHAT?!"

"Don't shout" Seungwan slap Seulgi shoulder

"How can I calm down, Seungwan? Dad want me to marry a woman the he pick up from nowhere and I don't ing know her!" Seulgi not satisfied with her family decision

"Who said I picked her up from nowhere? She working at our company" Mr. Kang said sternly

"She agrees with you because she gets something in return, isn't it?" Seulgi glare murderously to Irene

"Seulgi! Watch your words!" said Mrs. Kang

"It's true mom. If dad not bribe her, I think she won't agree to this"

"No one bribes her or whatever you think. We discussed this properly and everyone agreed without any condition. You like it or not, your wedding will be two months from now" said Mrs. Kang in a stern voice

"Mom, I can't. I not ready to be a wife" Seulgi said

"When will you be ready? When do you want to change your attitude? Do you think this attitude will guarantee a good future for you? You can't even help your sister and your dad" Mrs. Kang glare at Seulgi "We do this because we want you to change. We want you to be a better person. It is for your own sake" Mrs. Kang soften her voice

"Just this time, listen to us" Mr. Kang practically plead to his daughter

Seulgi silent for a while, she sighed heavily "Okay but with condition"

"What is it?"

"I want a simple wedding. No need to invite the media like you guys did during Seungwan’s wedding. Only invite people who are close to us. After the wedding we will stay at her house" Seulgi said while looked at Irene annoyingly

"I agree as long as you do not make a scene and not trouble Irene with your weird antics during the preparation process. You'll be a wife so grown-up" said Mrs. Kang

"Next weekend we will arrange your engagement ceremony. Make sure you not leaving this house or I’ll ban you from traveling" said Mr. Kang

"Whatever, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Excuse me" Seulgi said and leave to her room

Everyone groaned seeing Seulgi’s attitude "Unnie, sorry for her behavior. That is why we want to marry her off. She's hard headed" Seungwan said

"It's okay, I will cope with her behavior" Irene said calmly

"If she troubling you, don’t hesitant to tell me" Mrs. Kang said

"No worry, aunty. I will do the best for her" Irene assured the family

After the engagement, Mrs. Kang and Mrs. Bae is busy preparing for their children's wedding. The mothers are excited to prepare for the wedding even just a simple ceremony as per Seulgi request. Same as the other couple, Irene and Seulgi will try on their wedding outfit at the boutique. In the afternoon, Irene go to Kang’s house to pick up Seulgi

When she arrived in front of Kang’s house, she tried to call Seulgi but the younger girl did not pick up her phone. After few tries, she call Mrs. Kang phone

"Mom, Seulgi is not answering my call. Can you check her for me?" said Irene

"Aigooo, I'm at the boutique now, Rene. I’ll call her and ask her to get out" Mrs. Kang said from the other side

Irene patiently waited for her future wife "What a rock head girl. You don't know Bae Joohyun. You seriously want to play so I’ll play along. Our game will begin soon” she smirk

Few minutes later, Seulgi came out with a grumpy face. She enter the car lazily and sit at the back seat

"Why do you not sit in front?" Irene asked

"Just drive and don't ask so many question" Seulgi answered nonchalantly
