Days passed by, the holidays ended and a new school semester was starting. It had been snowing that morning, the cold air pierced the skin, yet the sight was something beautiful.

The first day was chaotic and somehow unusual, at least for Sunny.

First, Yoona and Yuri were now in the same class as them; oddly enough, they said that both of them received an email during the weekend notifying them about the changes.

Second, Jessica and Taecyeon arrived late to class and because of that, they had to sit in the first row near the door, as those were the only seats left, while the others were sitting in the middle and all the way to the back of the classroom. The students went berserk when they saw Jessica Jung walking  in as a blond, those thirsty boys, Fany and Tae Tae were about to smack the hell out of them but thankfully Ms. Boa shut them up first.

Sunny could feel that something wasn’t right, Jessica did turn around and wave at them quickly before looking back at the front, but there was something that wasn’t clicking at all. Taecyeon, on the other hand, offered them a quick “Hi!” before focusing back on the board.

Third, she couldn’t help but notice how close were Tiffany and Yuri, they were both sitting side by side, with Tiffany being in front of Sunny, and Yuri in front of Tae.  During the whole class, they would be whispering among each other, sometimes out of the blue Yuri would have a serious face and Tiffany would give her one of her best smiles.

Which was weird.

Really weird, indeed.

She also didn’t miss the way Taeyeon eyed both of them with an unreadable expression, while drawing something in her notebook that the poor bunny couldn’t see; short neck problems. 

And fourth, Jessica and Taec always disappeared between classes. As a result, they didn’t have the chance to greet them properly until lunch time, which was, once again, weird as Baekhyun appeared by the door jumping a little when noticing Jessica staring up at him. The thing was, both of them started talking to each other, surprising the girls in the back, except for one that had been exchanging glances with Taec.

Taeyeon was the first one to stand up, she was walking fast towards Jessica before she was blocked by Elfyeon who gave her a bear hug.

“Little Kim! How are you? I missed you.” He said while keeping her in his embrace, making Jessica tilt her head towards them.

“I-I’m good Taec. It’s been a while.” Tae was desperately trying to get away from his hold but it was futile. The poor girl patted his shoulder and he set her free. “Thanks.” She muttered quietly.

She walked towards the girl sitting down and before she could even open , Baek greeted her.

“H-hi, Taeyeon. It’s good to see you.” He was smiling shyly at her, his ears turning red. “You look beautiful as always.”

Tae couldn’t help but giggle, Baek was looking so cute. “Hi, Baekhyun. It’s good to see you, too.”

“Hi Baek, hi Sica, hi Taec!” Said Sunny in her bright tone and smiling with her eyes.

For a moment, Jessica got lost in them. She mentally blocked all of Sunny’s face and kept only her eyes in her mind. She looked like Fany; it was as if she was seeing Tiffany smiling right that moment. Her eyes were softly gazing at the girl, losing herself for a moment, not even noticing the pink princess walking alongside Yuri towards them. Not even hearing them greeting her, her eyes were focusing on those beautiful crescents that she had been wanting to see all these days, they weren’t Fany's but they looked like hers.

Sunny, who had been laughing along with Yoona, caught Jessica’s eyes looking at her tenderly. She could hear Fany talking to the girl, but Jessica wasn’t listening. She was worried, she took some steps and noticed how the girl’s eyes weren’t focused on her anymore…she had been spacing out the entire time.

Taec noticed Jessica and decided to clear his throat. “Let’s go and eat lunch before the break ends.” He clapped his hands and smiled before taking out two lunch boxes that were obviously for him and Jessica.

Actually, all of them had their lunches brought from home. Sunny was the only one who always bought something in a café near her house. It was surprising how Baekyun had his lunch ready with him as well. Actually, nobody noticed the little bag hidden behind him.

“Can I join you guys?” He gave them a shy smile and was cutely playing with his feet.

“Sure.” Everybody turned towards the voice. Jessica spoke before smiling at him, the girls were surprised, only Yuri remained calmed. “Let’s go, we only have 23 minutes now. I suggest we use the gym, nobody’s there during lunch.”

It was a nice lunch, Baekhyun was getting along pretty well with all of them.

Taec and Baek were sitting beside Jessica, Sunny was sitting beside Taec and Taeyeon next to Baek, Tiffany beside Taeyeon and Yuri and Yoona followed next forming a circle.

Taec was busy checking on Jessica, he had made a lunch box packed with vegetables and fruits and the girl didn’t seem to like it. They were a funny pair; Taec would always be nagging at her to eat the vegetables and she would throw him a glare before going back to play with her broccolis, poking them with her chopsticks. It was a warm scene to see, until Yuri threw a green apple to the girl’s head, making the girl turn towards her in a second. Everything got quiet, a few gasps were heard. The girls were ready to jump in any moment to save the mud from being turn into a flower vase. “You should eat all your veggies, not play with them.” She gave a stern look to the now blond girl who was staring back at her. “And eat that apple, I don’t want it anymore.” She then went back on eating her sandwich, not even flinching when Jessica kept on staring at her.

“Yuri, you shouldn’t do th-”

“Okay.” Fany was interrupted by Jessica, who picked up the apple from the floor and took a bite of it.

Baekhyun who was staring at her in surprise, took out a little container from his bag and gave it to Jessica. “Here, it’s some chicken soup, my mom’s recipe.” He smiled widely to her, almost blinding the poor girl in the process. “You should drink it, you’re way too pale for your own good. I hope you like it.”

“Thank you, Baek.” She answered in almost a whisper, before taking a sip from it and smiling at the taste. “It’s really good.”

The boy broke into a smile and all his face was as red as a tomato.

Yoona, Sunny, Tiffany and Taeyeon were confused as hell. When did Baek and her got so friendly?

They started talking, mostly was about Fany and her dad. She was exploding with happiness, and Jessica couldn’t contain herself and catch a glimpse of her smiling face.

It was true, nothing can surpass the original version.

“Jessi?” A voice broke off her thoughts. It was that husky voice that had been haunting her night after night, making her sit up straight as she felt herself resting on Taec for a moment.

“Hmm?” She asked, her eyes catching the other girls sight. She looked beautiful, she looked even more beautiful now.

“How was the rest of your holidays? Nobody got a word from you until now.” Fany’s face fell a little, she looked sad and Taeyeon was staring at her in the same way.

“It was good; I relaxed at home.”

Baek, Yuri and Taec squirmed in their places but they went unnoticed as the others were too focused on the girl.

Tiffany pouted and stared at Jessi with her puppy eyes. “I wanted to talk to you everyday.” She said quietly.

She was about to pout again when she saw the exact moment when Taec spilled some of his orange juice on Jessi’s face. His eyes opened in horror and the poor blond couldn’t help but wince as the unknown liquid hit her cheek, closing her eyes for a second before turning to see the guilty boy holding his orange juice.

“Oh my God! I’m sorry Sica!” He quickly took a napkin and with the most caring touch, he cleaned her face. The girl just let him do it while he held her by the chin.

“That’s cute.” Baekhyun blurted out. Two heads snapped towards his direction, he needed to stop if he wanted to live. “You’re like a couple that had been together since childhood. Like, you give off that warm feeling.” He smiled tenderly and Taec’s ears became red while he laughed nervously.

“N-no, we’re only friends. I wouldn’t dare t-”

“You’re so lucky Jessica, to have someone like him taking care of you in such way.” He turned to look at the latter who was quietly watching Baek talk, ignoring the sour mood that came from two pissed figures. “You know, before you came to SM, I would always see Taec with his friends; laughing and charming every girl he could.” Taec’s eyes almost popped out of his face, while Yoona and Yuri snickered quietly. “He loved to goof around, but after he met you he changed; he would only look at you, he defended you and protected you from anything and anyone that wished you harm, he even stayed by your side when everyone else feared you. He was always there, like a lost puppy.” He smiled softly at her and then gaze towards the living tomato beside her. “It was a huge surprise to see that The Great Taec h
