“Good night, Minsu! Sweet dreams! Just yell if you need us, sweetie!” Sunny yelled out as she was exiting the girl’s bedroom to go to the living room. She saw Victoria sitting on the couch watching some show on the television with the volume lowered. She walked over to her friend and plopped down next to her. She sighed.

“Chohee-sshi was the last victim who was attacked before he was sent away…” Victoria mumbled out while keeping her focus on the screen in front of her.

“Yeah… Did you hear that Zhou-mi?” Sunny asked through her earpiece.

“Neh. She helped a lot, actually.” The male responded back. He kept clicking a few buttons on his laptop back at his hotel room. “Oh. Taeyeon and Jessica went back to the club to talk to the boss. Yesung-hyung thought it’d be a good idea since they are the only girls here.”

“Ah, okay.” Sunny replied. “So… what else did she tell us? She was crept up from behind then knocked out…”

“She woke up to being blindfolded and heard the guy deepen his voice whenever he talked to her…” Victoria continued, turning to look at her friend.

“She was then… … then right when he took off her blindfold…”

“He instantaneously slashed her eyes so she couldn’t see… then carved them out…” Victoria finished. She sighed. “Zhou-mi. I’m going to interview that suspect tomorrow morning.”

“Did you find out more information?”

The male standing across from the desk nodded. “I think your suspect is not the . We believe that the man is older than the one Zhou-mi’s team found.”

“We also linked the last three victims of this ‘Black Shadow.’ There doesn’t seem to be any connection between any of them unlike the original criminal.” A second male continued.

They watched as the boss in front of them nodded. “I see.” She turned to the man in the suit next to her. “Inform Taeyeon that she will need to bring these two men with Victoria tomorrow morning when she visits the suspect. I know one of them will not let anything terrible happen to her while she is interrogating him. I would like her to stay with Sunny and the victim for now. Jessica will also accompany Victoria as well as Yoochun.”

Once the man walked out of the room, he saw Taeyeon sitting at the bar with Minho and Krystal. He saw Jessica sitting in a booth on the other side of the room. “I guess Heechul went home already, huh?”

“Of course, oppa!” Krystal responded back.

The man turned to Taeyeon. “You heard the boss, right?” She nodded. “You can just call Zhou-mi to tell Victoria when you get back to the apartment.”

“Sure thing! I guess we’ll go now! It’s already late! Have fun working~.” Taeyeon winked as she walked away from the bar and started heading towards the stairway with Jessica following suit.

“We’ll see you in the morning, oppas.” Jessica half-yelled, half-said out to the two men still in the room with their boss.

“Hey, unni! Is the mission done already?” A woman turned to face the door as she heard it opening.

“Hey! No, it isn’t. But I figured we’d just rest here before we have to go drive back out there. Boss even hired two more detectives to help profile this ‘shadow.’” Taeyeon informed her as she went to the kitchen. Jessica walked in after her.

“Ah, I left some food for whoever else would still be hungry tonight! You know how hungry Taemin and Henry could get in the middle of the night.”

Taeyeon and Jessica walked into the kitchen to see several plates of food wrapped with plastic wrap to keep it from being spoiled. “Wah~! Hyoyeon! This is a lot though!” The latter exclaimed, while the former thought a bit more. “Taemin’s actually home?! I didn’t actually take note of who was still at the club… I figured he was just going to sleep there again.”
