Acceptance

Excuse Me?

It’s a peaceful morning. Jimin turned off his alarm even before it’s ringing. It’s a big day for him. He slept well last night so that he could wake up early. Jimin opened his bed curtain and climbed down. He was sharing the bedroom with his sister so their parents bought the bunk bed with a curtain. Although they were sibling, they still had their own privacy. Jimin walked out and saw his Mom was cooking and his Dad was sitting on the living room sipping on morning coffee and watching the morning news. He really missed this situation. It’s been so long when he saw his parents in the morning. It’s usually quiet because there were only two of them. His Mom greeted him and it made him realize that he was standing in front of his bedroom for quite some time. He smiled then walked toward the dining table. He was sitting while watching his Mom making breakfast for them.

“Go take a bath. The food still needs some time to cook. If you are hungry, just drink milk first. Want me to heat the milk?” his Mom was speaking to him while chopping on the onion. His Mom was worried if Jimin was hungry but she hasn’t finished his breakfast.

“Yes please,” Jimin didn’t reject his Mom offers. He took the milk carton from the refrigerator and gave it to his Mom. He then left her and walked to the living room. He sat beside his Dad and joined him watching the news. His Dad saw him and pulled him closer and hugged him. He pinched his son's cheeks and it made Jimin cried. Jimin got annoyed but his Dad was laughing out loud. Jimin rubbed his cheeks because his Dad pinched him too hard. He was annoyed and promised himself that he will definitely lose his cheeks’ fat so that people won’t pinch it again.

“OH MY GOD!!” Chaeyoung was shouting from the bedroom. Jimin, Dad and Mom turned their heads altogether towards the bedroom when they heard Chaeyoung’s scream.

Chaeyoung opened the door and running outside looking panicked. She saw her Mom who was looking at her with wondering and confused face from the kitchen. She looked at her surrounding and after she finally could thinking clearly, she let out relieved sighed. Her family was still looking at her demanding explanation. She smiled awkwardly and said she thought she woke up late. She was afraid Jimin will be late for school. Hearing her cute explanation made them laugh. Her Mom told her to go back to sleep because today she will be in charge of breakfast. Chaeyoung smiled and thanked her Mom.

Chaeyoung returned to her room then looking for her phone. It was under the bed and it was dead. She plugged on the charger then left it. She was walking towards the kitchen and helped her Mom to prepare the breakfast. They were eating their first ever breakfast together as a family this year. After they finished breakfast, none of them was leaving the dining table. They know they missed each other. Their conversation was stopped when Mom remember they should prepare for  Jimin and his team’s lunch. Mom and Dad were bringing the ingredients for the black pork noodle, their restaurant signature dish all the way from Jeju. They planned to give it to Jimin’s teammate to cheer them up on final match. Moreover, they also had a hidden motive. They want to promote the restaurant.

Jimin was heading to the school first to preparing for the match. Chaeyoung, Mom and Dad were busy preparing 30 lunch boxes for Jimin’s friends. After they finished with it, they were heading to Jimin’s school. It took longer than expected to prepare the lunch box, but Jimin already told his teammate to not eating lunch. His parents will treat them. They were waiting patiently and luckily they only need to endure 15 minutes longer than their lunch time. The food arrived and Jimin’s family was busy distributing the lunch. After they finished distributing the food, Dad remembered that they forgot to bring the drink. He asked Chaeyoung to help him buy the beverages while her Mom will stay here to take care of the food.

Mom was looking around to monitor whether there was someone who hasn’t got lunch. Her gaze was fixed to someone who just came outside from the clubroom. She took one box and walked towards that guy.

“Hello! I am Jimin’s Mom. My family packed some lunch boxes for the team.  Here, please take it,” Mom handed the lunch box to the person who she thought as Jimin’s Coach.

“Oh, thank you so much. I will eat it well,” the man thanked her and bowed while taking the box.

“I hope it will suit your taste. We made it this morning. Speaking of which, thank you for taking care of our Jimin,” Mom also bowed to show her gratitude.

After giving the Coach his lunch, Mom back to the where the kids were eating. After making sure everyone got their lunch, she walked towards Jimin and sat beside him. Jimin handed her a box and told her to eat too. She took it and smiled. She was too busy making all these foods and forgot she also hasn’t had lunch.

“I met your Coach, before. He looks so young. How old is he?” Mom asked Jimin about his Coach.

“Coach? Our Coach is our Gym Teacher. Mom, you might see the wrong person. The Coach is almost the same age as you. There is no way you can say he is very young even though you are looking at him from different angles,” Jimin ensure his Mom that it wasn’t his Coach.

“Then, who was the guy I saw before? He was coming out from your club room while bringing a bag of balls. Oh, that guy over there!” Mom pointed to the guy who was sitting beside Jimin’s friend while eating his lunch.

“Ah, he is Mingyu-hyung. The hyung I know. He comes here to help us prepare for the match. Of course, he looks so young. He is the same age as Noona,” his Mom was nodding after hearing the explanation. But, after hearing he was the same age as Chaeyoung, his Mom suddenly growth more interest.

Chaeyoung and Dad were coming later than expected. As soon as they arrived, they were quickly distributing the drinks. Chaeyoung apologized to Mom because she said they went to meet Chaeyoung’s friend after bought the drink so they were late. Mom said it was okay because luckily they haven’t finished their meals yet and didn’t complain about the drinks arrived late.

Mom took one bottle of water and walked towards Mingyu. She handed him the bottle and apologize for mistook him as Jimin’s Coach. Mingyu was startled because he thought it was nothing to be apologized for.

“Anyway, thank you so much for taking care of my son. Also… I heard from Jimin that you are also a friend of Chaeyoung. I know it’s burdensome but please take care of both of them,” Mom bowed again after asking for a favour.

“Ma’am, it’s an honour for me. Of course, I will take care of both of them. They are my precious friends,” Mingyu tried to stop Mom from bowing.

“Thank you very much. You know me and their Dad are living far away so we can’t help to feel worried. Please take care of them for us. Thank you once again,” Mom held Mingyu hands while showing a motherly smile. Mingyu smiled at her and told her that she didn’t need to worry. She then continued to distribute the water.

Most of the boys were finished their lunch. As the one who was giving the food, Jimin’s family also felt responsible for the trash. The boys also helped them to collect the trash. Mingyu who got free lunch from Jimin’s family also helped them by bringing the trash bag to the temporary disposal site which located in the back of the school. Mingyu was walking towards a temporary disposal site and then he stopped for a while after he heard Jimin was calling for him. He turned around and waited for Jimin. They were walking together and they both stopped again when Chaeyoung called. Once they turned their head, Chaeyoung clicked on the shutter button of the camera. She then giggled and thanked them. She said it’s a rare sight so she should keep it as memory. Mingyu chuckled then continued walking to throw the trash.

Jimin opened the trash bag and began to sort the garbage from it to the trash bin. Mingyu also did the same.

“You told your Mom about how we first met, right?” Mingyu opened the conversation while putting on the bottle into the trash bin.

“Ah, that’s. I am sorry. I don’t have a choice. Mom always worried about both of us. She lived far away so she really concerns about our safety. Although Seokjin Hyung is living in the next building, she still feels anxious. Although I am a man, she still considered me as a kid and couldn’t protect my sister. So, when I know she has an interest in you, I introduce you to her. I think that way would make her feel relieved,” Jimin felt sorry towards Mingyu.

“I know you have good intention. But, still… You don’t have to mention about the temple,” Mingyu worried that someone might hear it and the information will spread.

“I am really sorry. My family, especially my father is super strict when it comes to boy. I thought by mentioning about the temple, they might feel relieved. It will assure them that Hyung is a kind and good guy. My Dad also won’t get suspicious of you. He might think you are her friend,” Jimin was feeling sorry but he couldn’t help to not thinking how cute Mingyu was. Despite the confidence he showed, he might feel ashamed about the fact that he was a monk.

“You parents might know I am a good man when they see me though. They are capable to see what kind of person their children have as a friend. You don’t need to mention about the temple,” Mingyu was talking without even stopping to sort the trash.

“But, why are you so concerned about your identity as a monk? Hahaha… It’s not like you like my sister anyway,” Jimin knew he just did something wrong. He never saw Mingyu being so serious. He felt so awkward so he decided to make a joke by teasing him.

Mingyu’s face suddenly stiffened after he heard it. He also stopped everything he was doing for a second. He turned his head and looked at Jimin. He looked at Jimin at the eyes when he was about to say something but he held it. He smiled then moved his gaze towards the remaining trash he hadn’t sorted. Jimin who saw Mingyu’s sad expression suddenly felt guilty. He wasn’t certain about the meaning of Mingyu’s look but he knew he just said something offended.

“Are you done?” Mingyu fold the trash bag after finishing his job.

“Oh, yeah. I am,” Jimin was startled and quickly put the last trash on the bin. They both returned to the field in silence. The five minutes walked from the temporary disposal site to the field felt so long for Jimin because of the heavy awkward atmosphere between them. He was afraid to begin the conversation. He was hope Mingyu will start it first, but even after they arrived at the field, he didn’t say a single word.

Jimin’s team will head to the stadium by train. They had to arrive sooner than the match schedule to get prepared and to get used to the field. There were three hours left before the match. Jimin’s family decided to go home and picked Seokjin up. Dad borrowed Seokjin’s car so they should pick him up to go together. After ensuring all the equipment they need was complete, Jimin’s team was leaving the school. Mingyu was coming with them. He helped the kids as he was the actual coach. Jimin said goodbye to his family and lead his team to the subway station.

Jimin and Hoseok were walking on the front, followed by his teammates. Hoseok was looking back and smiled. Jimin saw Hoseok was giggling and showing a judging expression. Hoseok was laughing looking at Jimin’s face. He knew Jimin was curious so he told him the reason he was so happy. He said he was so excited about this match. It will be their last match and he was afraid it will cause chaos before the match. Luckily, Mingyu came to help them. It made him looked like an angel sent from heaven. Usually they always so busy before the match. They need to make sure everything was well prepared. Sometimes, they need to go back to school because they left something. Now, as Mingyu came for help, they didn’t have to think about a trivial thing. They could focus on their match.

Hoseok was talking enthusiastically but Jimin responded light-heartedly. Hoseok was annoyed but he suddenly realized Jimin might be under pressure. It’s natural, he was the Captain and it was their last match. Instead got mad, he thought he should comfort him. It’s his job as the vice-captain and also as the best friend.

They were entering the train and Jimin sat on the edge of the seat near the door. Hoseok sat next to him. They saw Mingyu was the last one to enter the train. He was standing in front of the door while watching over their teammate, make sure no one was left behind. Mingyu really made Jimin and Hoseok jobs easier. They were so grateful.

“Hey, why do you think Mingyu Hyung want to help us?” Jimin asked Hoseok after the train door was closed.

“Of course because he is an angel. He promised us that he would come to help if we make it into the final,” Hoseok tried to remind Jimin about Mingyu’s promise.

“Ah, that’s right. But, I just wondering whether he has another reason. Hey, is it possible if he likes my sister?” Jimin couldn’t hold his curiosity. He had been thinking about his jokes towards Mingyu earlier.

“Hemm… why not? It’s not strange. Who doesn’t like your sister? I mean, Chaeyoung Noona is pretty, smart, and kind. She has no flaw. You know that most of our friends like her. Something like first love. That’s what I heard from the boys,” Hoseok answered casually. But then he saw Jimin was showing serious face. Hoseok understood that it might be something serious. Maybe because it was related to his sister so that he became serious.

“Ah, so it’s normal,” Jimin still looked like he had serious thought on his head and it made Hoseok felt bad. He should find a way to make Jimin less tense.

Hoseok smiled awkwardly at Jimin and when his gaze was wandering around it accidentally met with Mingyu’s eyes. His smile automatically growing then he moved his eyes to Jimin again.

“If I was you, I don’t mind if my sister dates someone like Mingyu Hyung. He is handsome, tall, good at sport and more importantly, he is a nice guy,” Hoseok tried to cheer Jimin up and convince him to give bless to Mingyu.

“You are right. He is a good guy. I shouldn’t do something unnecessary,” Jimin replied sadly.

The train finally arrived at their destination. Once again Jimin led his team to the stadium. When they arrived at the stadium, Jimin was persuading his mind to focus only on the match. His thought had been distracted because of his guilt. He promised himself he will apologize to Mingyu about his jokes earlier. He was sorry because he didn’t know about Mingyu’s feeling. He selfishly made an assumption.

Jimin and his team were busy arranging their belonging and get prepared in the waiting room. Jimin was afraid he won’t get a chance to talk to Mingyu because Mingyu was busy taking care of his friends. Hoseok was calling him and it made Jimin realize he shouldn’t doze off. He helped Hoseok finding the first aid bag while someone was tapping on his shoulder. Mingyu told Jimin to talk outside by hinting using his eyes. Jimin apologizes to Hoseok and told him to ask for others to find the bag. He quickly followed Mingyu to walk outside.

Mingyu and Jimin were standing face to face. Jimin couldn’t saw Mingyu on the eyes. Although he made a determination to apologize to Mingyu before, he didn’t expect it will be too hard. He didn’t know where to start. He was hoping since Mingyu was the one who wants to talk, he will speak first. But after a while, they only stand there in silence.

“Hyung, I am…,” finally Jimin found his courage and started speaking first. He lifted his face and bravely looking at Mingyu on the eyes. He paused and gulped after he saw Mingyu still showing disappointed and sad face. He never saw that kind of expression on Mingyu’s face before. It made him guiltier but also scared. Mingyu’s disappointed face combined with his ridiculously tall built body made him looked so intimidating for Jimin.

“It’s a lie,” Mingyu said it before Jimin found his lost courage. Jimin looked at Mingyu with wondering face didn’t believe with what he just heard.

“Eh? Lie? What do you mean…?” Jimin still confused.

Mingyu still showing serious and annoyed face but he couldn’t hold his smile when he saw Jimin’s cute chubby face being confused. His laugh made Jimin even more confused.

“It’s all lie. I don’t like your sister in a romantic way. I just play a joke on you,” Mingyu patted Jimin’s hair and messed it. Jimin still didn’t believe what he heard. So, Mingyu just played with him. But, he did look so shocked when he heard Jimin’s joke. The expression was so real.

“You are surprised with my acting, right? I am sorry if I act so well. Honestly, I don’t mind about you telling your Mom about me. Although, it’s better if you didn’t tell her. I am afraid someone might be heard and spread the information,”  Mingyu apologized because he made Jimin shocked.

“Why? Did you feel embarrassed?” Jimin couldn’t understand Mingyu’s true feeling. He had no idea why Mingyu wanted to keep it as a secret. Mingyu seemed to understand what’s bothering Jimin’s mind so he decided to tell Jimin the real reason. He didn’t want people, especially the girls know about this fact. He was afraid they will disturb his uncle temple. He wasn’t embarrassed he just didn’t want people discovered his “cave”.

Mingyu admitted he was a bit upset but he was happy that their Mom was kind. Most of the parents especially the Dads didn’t like him. Maybe, because he was radiating playboy energy so that they become cautious. But he was happy that Jimin’s parent was kind. Mom also trusted her daughter to him.

“Now you have learned something right? Don’t ever trust your sister to another man easily like that. Luckily the man you trust is me. I am a good man and you know it. What happened if it’s another man? Do you want to entrust your sister to the fox?” Mingyu scolded Jimin.

“Of course not! She might be annoying but she still my sister. Besides, since it’s Hyung so I dare to introduce you to my Mom,”  Jimin was defending himself.

“Wait, wait, so that means you give the blessing for me? Then, should I date your sister for real?” Mingyu teased Jimin again.

“Stop teasing me. It’s not even funny. But, if someday you like her in a different way, I think I will give you my permission,” Jimin didn’t want to lose to Mingyu. Now, he dared him to actually date his sister.

Both of them were laughing. Mingyu told him to get ready and focused on the match because the problem had solved. Before they go back to the practice room, Chaeyoung suddenly appeared. She brought a big camera and ready to click the shutter when she saw them. Mingyu and Jimin were posed and Chaeyoung took their picture. Mingyu asked Chaeyoung to come closer to take a selca. They were busy taking a picture and Hoseok suddenly opened the door. He was envy and decided to join them.

Jimin and Hoseok had to go back to the waiting room to discuss their strategy. Chaeyoung asked for their permission to document their activity. Jimin was thinking for a second then allowed it. But, before he said yes, he asked Chaeyoung where she got the camera. Chaeyoung said she borrowed it from Haechan. That’s why she was a bit late when delivered the drinks.

The match finally began and a lot of Jimin’s friends, families and even the Priest was come to support him. Chaeyoung didn’t join the supporters because she was busy took beautiful shots of the match. But still, she was screaming along with the supporters when Jimin failed to score. The long match finally ended with the victory of Jimin’s team. Thanks to their hard works, countless practice, the direction from the coach and Mingyu and most importantly, the support from all their acquaintances. After the referee blew the whistle, the Coach was running towards the field and hug Jimin. His teammates also hugged him and instinctively threw him to the air to celebrate this moment.

Chaeyoung can’t stand still to not capturing this moment. She took lots of pictures. Luckily she used the new memory card so that she freely took as many pictures as she wants. She panned her camera to the kids’ family and she saw Youngjae’s Mom through her lens. She looked so happy celebrating her son win. Chaeyoung clicked on the camera shutter and captured that moment.

Today Chaeyoung was so busy roaming around and took pictures. She was stopped roaming around when Mom called her. They also should take a commemorative picture. Mingyu offered himself to take the picture. The family posing and smile happily. After they finished, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and The Priest came closer to congratulate Jimin. Not long after that, their Church friends and also Jimin’s schoolmates came and they took pictures together.

The committee of the organizer called both of the teams to come to the podium to receive their rewards and trophy. After they got their medals and trophy and also took commemorate pictures, they were back to the waiting room. On their way to the waiting room, Youngjae came closer to Jimin and thanked him for not giving up on the tournament. He apologized because he almost crashing their dream because of his Mom reported the club. Jimin laughed and said he already forgot about that. He thanked Youngjae for staying with them till the end.

“Anyway, is that Hyung, Chaeyoung Noona’s boyfriend?” Youngjae asked Jimin when he saw Chaeyoung was taking pictures with Mingyu and Blackpink’s members.

“Mingyu Hyung? No, he isn’t,” Jimin replied.

“Thank God,” Youngjae was relieved and didn’t realize he said it out loud. Jimin stopped walking and stared at Youngjae with suspicious eyes.

“Why? DON’T TELL ME! YOU LIKE MY SISTER???” Jimin screamed in shocked and it made Youngjae forcefully closed Jimin’s mouth with his hand.

“It’s not like that. Oh, My Mom calls me, bye!” Youngjae runaway before Jimin questioned him.

Jimin stared at Youngjae with a deadly stare. Hoseok who was observing those two from behind was smiling. He suddenly had an idea and run over to Chaeyoung before Jimin does. He talked to her and quickly gathering his teammates. They took pictures with Chaeyoung and lastly their team took pictures with her. They even make Jimin be the one who took it for them. After they finished took the pictures, Hoseok told the fact to Jimin. He said most of his teammates had a crush on Chaeyoung. They also hate him because he was surrounded by pretty noonas after they saw Jimin took pictures with Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo. Jimin was annoyed but after he heard it, he was happy. He could make his teammates jealous of him because of the pretty noonas.

After all the celebration on the field, Jimin’s family was having dinner together. Tonight their parents will fly back to Jeju. Their parents will head back immediately to the airport after dinner. Seokjin volunteering to take their carriage at home and will pick them up after dinner.

“Noona, please take my phone. It’s ringing. I put it on the front pocket of my bag,” Jimin asked Chaeyoung to took his phone because he was busy cutting the meat. Chaeyoung took it and saw it was Seokjin. She picked it up.

“HEY! Why both of you take so long to pick my phone!!!” Chaeyoung put away the phone from her ear because Jin was yelling as soon as she picked it.

“Sorry, my phone is dead and Jimin’s phone was in his bag. We almost finish dinner, come here. You should eat together too,” Chaeyoung finally put it back on her ear.

Seokjin was come 10 minutes later and join the family to eat. After fulfilling their stomach, they were heading to the airport. Although they were lived separately for almost a year, it still sad when they should say goodbye to each other. Mom hugged Chaeyoung tightly and before she let her go, she whispered to her ear saying they should come to Jeju. Chaeyoung laughed but didn’t say anything, afraid Dad will hear her.

Jimin conquered the bathroom first as soon as they arrived home. He was so full and it made him even more tired and sleepy. That’s why he wanted to wash up quickly and go to bed. Chaeyoung was lied down on the sofa and her phone. She got scolded by her friends earlier because they couldn’t reach her. She apologized and said her phone was turned off. As soon as she turned it on, the notification was coming as fast as the text on the computer blue screen. She checked it and mostly it was coming from her friends who asked about the location of the match and her whereabouts. She touched the room chat one by one and apologized because she just read it now. After scrolled down a lot he saw a text from Jungkook and touched it.

“Anyway, do you have time tomorrow?”

“Eumm.. yeah I watcgk it tmaroor

Mom.s dadklllah jimdasdss,”

“Are you asleep?”

Chaeyoung read the texts on her phone screen several times to ensure herself she didn’t read it wrong.

“OH MY GOD, I AM TOTALLY CRAZY. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!” she suddenly screamed after she was certain it was real. She looked at the time and become crazier. She was kicking, screaming and bouncing while lying down and scrolling down from the sofa tried to release her embarrassment.

“NOONA YOU ARE NOISY!!!” Jimin screamed from the bathroom.

Chaeyoung was whining and made crying sound although she didn’t cry. She threw her phone to the sofa and continued rolling on the floor. She sat down and when she looked at her phone she was going crazy again. She scratched her hair and kept whining. Rolling down, jumping and whining causing her to lose her energy. She ended up lying down and looking at the ceiling. She should found a way to solve this problem. She closed her eyes and tried to thinking straight. Alright, Chaeyoung, your brilliant brain’s job is not only to get the 1st rank but it could be used to solve this problematic case.

Chaeyoung took her phone which slipped on the edge of the sofa. She sat down on the sofa and tried typing. She was typing on the chat room but then he cut the text and moved it to the note. She was afraid she accidentally touched the sent button. She wrote an apology first because she just read the text now. The next paragraph, she told him the reason she didn’t reply it right away. She saved the notes and wait for 5 minutes to read it again. She wanted to clear his mind so she was able to portrait how Jungkook feel when he read it. She read it again but felt unsure. It sounds like she was avoiding him. The kind Chaeyoung came back again. She hates if people misunderstood her and think bad about her. She edited the notes and made it even longer.

Jimin was coming out from the bathroom and saw his sister was sitting silently on the sofa. It made him wonder what was wrong with his sister. He just heard her screaming like she was being possessed but now she was as calm as a monk. Chaeyoung suddenly screamed and laying down on the sofa and it startled Jimin.

“Noona, you’d better go outside and get some fresh air. You look terrible right now,” Jimin was scared with his own sister and told her to calm down.

“I DECIDED!! YES, THAT’S THE BEST WAY!!” Chaeyoung was shouting happily after she finally got the idea of how to reply to the text.

Jimin really thought his sister began to lost sanity if she stayed for long in the room. He didn’t know the reason why but maybe she was overly sad and stressed after their parents left. He looked at her with a sad face.

“Jimin, I will go outside for a while. I am not going far I just go to the playground,” Chaeyoung suddenly got up and walked towards the front door and put on her shoes.

“Noona, you’d better comb your hair unless you want people to think you are crazy person roaming around the playground,” Jimin worried about Chaeyoung’s appearance.

“How could a pretty girl like me saw as crazy person? But, thanks for the advice,” Chaeyoung comb her hair with her fingers then quickly opened the door and left. Jimin was standing while shook his head lightly after witnessing his sister weird behaviour. He was yawning and decided to not minding her business and walked straight away to the bed and sleep.

Unlike yesterday, the night was so clear tonight. Chaeyoung could feel the cool summer breeze. The stars and the moon also looked so bright. She walked to the playground and climbed the slide. It’s been so long since she visited her hidden place. She looked at her phone and smiled. The battery was full because she didn’t use it after fully charged it in the morning. She took a deep breath then touched the call button on Jungkook’s contact. Chaeyoung’s heart was beating so fast as the back ringtone was heard.

“Hello?” Jungkook’s deep voice was heard after 5 calling tone was heard.

“Oh, hi!” Chaeyoung couldn’t help but feel nervous so that she could only reply shortly. But, after she replied no one was talking. There were 3 seconds silent moment it made Chaeyoung panicked. She hoped Jungkook will talk but she realized she was the one who called him. Jungkook mustn’t know what should he say.

“Are you busy?” Chaeyoung asked afraid he must be not in a situation where he could talk.

“No, not really,” Jungkook replied shortly. Chaeyoung wasn’t ready to talk because she didn’t expect Jungkook will reply shortly like that.

“Why?” Jungkook asked again after no one was talking.

“Oh well… The thing is… I am sorry that I just saw your text. It’s not because I avoid you or something but I really didn’t check on my phone all day long. My phone was dead and I didn’t turn it on till minutes ago. I am sorry,” Chaeyoung did her first plan. Apologize.

“Aaah. It’s okay. I can understand it. You must be busy all day long that made you even forget to turn your phone on,” Jungkook gave positive feedback.

“Hemm… yeah, I was kind of super busy today and last night when you send me the text I already asleep. I am not even aware I replied to you. That’s why I text you some non-sense text,” Chaeyoung embarrassed with the typo texts she sent.

“No, no it’s okay. You might send it while you were asleep so you send it unconsciously,” Jungkook really tried his best to not make her felt guilty.

“And also… about your text. I am sorry I couldn’t make it today. How about tomorrow?” Chaeyoung shyly moved to the second plan: replied to Jungkook’s question or rather said invitation.

“Hemm… tomorrow?” Jungkook was embarrassed when Chaeyoung mentioned about his text and decided to play dumb.

“You know… your text… You asked me whether I have free time,” Chaeyoung remind Jungkook about his question. She wanted to avoid being more embarrassed because right now she sounds so aggressive.

“Oh, that’s. If you are okay, I kind of want to thank you because you teach me for my remedial exam,” Jungkook successfully made it like his invitation, not something really special. He casually asked her out to thank her. That’s all.

“Are the result already out??” Chaeyoung was so excited. Jungkook must pass the exam that’s why he wanted to thank her

“No, it’s not out yet. I thought it is best to thank you now. It will be too embarrassing if I failed. So, tomorrow at XYZ Cinema? Are you okay with it?” Jungkook talked right to the point.

“Oh, I am fine with it. But, did that Cinema kinda far?” Chaeyoung was curious why he choose that location. There were lots of nearby places.

“If you think it’s too far, should we change place? Actually, I choose it although I know it’s too far was because I thought you might feel uncomfortable if you meet your friends accidentally. I want to avoid any misunderstanding if we bump into our acquaintances. It’s really annoying to try to explain everything to people,” Jungkook answer honestly.

“YOU ARE RIGHT! It doesn’t matter with me actually. But, knowing the real reason is much better. So, we meet there at?” Chaeyoung remembered that his club not allowing dating although they weren’t dating but it such a pain in the to explain it to the gossipers.

“Tomorrow 2 o’clock?” Jungkook suggested.

“Okay. See you there,”

“Okay, bye!”

“Hey!! Congratulations once again. Your performance was awesome yesterday,”

“Haha thank you. Then, see you tomorrow. Good night.”

“Heung, good night!”

Chaeyoung hung up the phone while smiling. She was stretching then lied down on the slide. She stared at the sky and can’t stop smiling.

“Aaah why the sky is so pretty tonight?” she said to herself as she admiring the beautiful night sky who suddenly become twice prettier than before.

***

The alarm was ringing and no one woke up. Both Jimin and Chaeyoung were too tired so they body need more time to recover. Jimin opened his eyes first because he was sleeping earlier than Chaeyoung. He went straight to the bathroom. After he finished his business, he went to the kitchen and then opened the refrigerator. He took out a milk carton and poured it into the cup. He drank it in one shot and put back the carton to the refrigerator. With half-closed eyes, he walked to the sofa and continued sleeping. He was hungry so he woke up but after filling his stomach, he was back to sleep again.

The human body was amazing. When it knows it fully charged, it could send a notification to the brain and made the owner of the body opened their eyes. It happened to Chaeyoung too. Her body might felt fully recovered and she already had enough sleep so she finally opened her eyes. It’s the first time she woke up naturally after fulfilling her sleep time. She looked at the clock and it exactly 11 AM in the morning. She woke up and looked at the upper bunk bed. Jimin wasn’t there. She walked towards the living room and found Jimin was sleeping on the sofa. She did the exact thing like Jimin as soon as she woke up, went to the bathroom then to the kitchen. She saw a cup of milk on the kitchen sink and could predict Jimin must be hungry. He never skipped breakfast before.

There were 3 hours left before their appointment. Chaeyoung needed 20 minutes to reach that place by train. So, at least she needed 40 minutes commuting from home until arrived. She still had time to cook a simple lunch for Jimin. Chaeyoung began to chop down and sliced the ingredients. She planned to make bibimbap for Jimin. She stirred fry vegetable, fried sunny side egg, and lastly stirred fried Korean beef. She served the rice on the big bowl and put the vegetable on top of it. She only needed to put the sunny side egg and the meat to finish it, but the meat needed more time to cook. The smell of food woke Jimin up. He woke up but still lying down on the sofa. Chaeyoung looked at the clock and she already spent half an hour to cook. She woke Jimin up and told him to watch the meat. She should take a shower now.

The lunch is ready and Chaeyoung told Jimin to eat first. She locked the bedroom door and choose the outfit she was gonna wear. She wore the clothes that she chose but then she changed it again. She changed her clothes 5 times until she decided she will wear a white shirt with pink tennis skirt. She sat in front of the mirror and now it’s time to get her hair and make-up done. She looked at her reflection on the mirror and suddenly laughing at herself. She always thought the scene on the drama was too dramatic. Changing clothes several times and doll up because the lead female actress finally going on date with the male lead. But now, she suffered from that first date syndrome too. It was so cliché that made her cringing with her own thought.

Now, if she didn’t want to get late, she should finish doing her make-up and drying and styling her hair in 20 minutes. She regretted that she washed her hair. But, if she didn’t, her hair will smell like beef. She had no choice but to do make-up and hair at the same time. She unlocked the door and called Jimin who just finished eating his lunch. She asked Jimin to dry her long hair while she was doing her make-up. Jimin was sighing but do as he's told.

Chaeyoung was finally done with the make-up and her hair now was dry. She thought about what hairstyle will do the best with her outfit. Practically she only had 15 minutes to eat lunch and styling her hair. She ordered Jimin to curl her hair while she was eating lunch. That way she could save more time. Jimin was whining but he was too afraid to say no. He knew Chaeyoung was scary when she was in a hurry but need to look good before going out. Although it was almost two years ago since he saw her put too much effort on her looks, she still radiating the same killer vibe aura as before. As expected, people didn’t change easily.

Chaeyoung looked at the mirror while still munching on her last lunch bite. Jimin did a good job curling her hair that it made it too curly. To make it not look too curly, she styled it with half updo hair. The last touch was the lips. She put on pink lipstick and sprayed perfume then grabbed her sling bag. After checking up the things inside her bag, wallet, perfume, lipstick, compact powder, tissue, phone and earphone, she was ready to go. She took a pair of socks from the bottom of the closet drawer. She looked at the clock on her phone then hurriedly putting on her sneakers.

The location of the cinema was not far from the subway station. Although Chaeyoung never been there she could find it easily. She arrived earlier than she expected. Now one thing left was waiting for Jungkook. She came inside the Cinema but she couldn’t found him. She texted him and waited in front of the movie schedule board. She kept checking on her phone but Jungkook hasn’t replied.

“You arrived,” Jungkook suddenly appeared beside Chaeyoung and it made her jumped in shock.

“You scared me,” Chaeyoung caress her chest to calm herself down.

“What do you want to watch?” Jungkook asked. Chaeyoung thought he already had the tickets but it turned out he hasn’t decided on the movie.

“It’s up to you. I like all kind of genre,” Chaeyoung replied. She thought since he was the one who treats her, so she should follow him.

“How about The Prodigy?” Jungkook suggested.

“All kind of genre except horror, please,” Chaeyoung took back her words by saying she was fine with all kind of genre. They were continued to stare at the movie schedule board and thinking.

“OII JEON JUNGKOOK!!!” someone called Jungkook and instinctively he was looking at the direction of that person. Chaeyoung was doing the same but she quickly looked into the board again. By doing that, the person won’t be suspicious. He might think Chaeyoung just someone who instinctively looking at him because he was too loud. Jungkook realizing the situation so he walked away from her while Chaeyoung still pretending to look at the board.

“Hey bro! I didn’t expect to see you here. Are you alone?” Dokyeom lifted his hand to hi-fiving Jungkook.

“Yeah. How about you?” Jungkook hi-fiving Dokyeom while showing a bright smile. He should act normal.

“Oh, me too. What movie are you going to watch?” Dokyeom asked.

“I don’t know. I haven’t decided. And you?” Jungkook really wished Dokyeom already bought the ticket so he wouldn’t need to spend his time to join him.

“Yes. I watch Captain Marvel. People said the movie was good so I planned to watch it. Hey, you better buy the ticket now. The studio will be open in 5 minutes. Let’s go!” Dokyeom dragged him to the ticket machine.

Jungkook followed him with heavy steps. He prayed that the ticket was sold out. Dokyeom was busy touching the ticket machine screen to buy the ticket while Jungkook was watching beside him.  There were few seats left and all of it was on the very first row. Jungkook smiled because he had a reason to reject Dokyeom.

“What should we do? The seat left only on the first row,” Dokyeom was sad.

“I can watch it on the next schedule. Or choose another movie,” Jungkook was relieved.

“Should I ask Mingyu or Taehyung to come? They will have enough time to come here,” Dokyeom felt bad towards Jungkook.

“What? No, you don’t have to. It’s not like the first time I watch the movie by myself. I used to do it. Don’t worry about me. Now, you’d better go to your studio because they already call you,” Jungkook pushed Dokyeom shoulder to force him left the machine.

“Mingyu said he wanted to watch the movie anyway. Maybe you can meet him if you buy the ticket for the next schedule,” Dokyeom still not give up.

“I got it. I got it. But I am not guaranteed I will watch that movie. I might change my mind. So, you’d better not tell him,” Jungkook afraid Mingyu will actually come. It will turn into a disaster. He was so worried. Suddenly he remembered that he came with Chaeyoung. He felt so bad because he left her so suddenly. He looked around to found Chaeyoung while still pushing Dokyeom to the studio. He saw Chaeyoung was talking with someone near the snack corner. He looked closely at the girl and quickly looked away after he realized it was Nayeon. He successfully sent Dokyeom inside and heading towards the toilet to hide. He didn’t want to take a risk to bump into Nayeon.

While Jungkook was busy talking with Dokyeom, Chaeyoung went to the food corner and bought cola. She was so thirsty because she walked at a fast pace to reach this place. She was afraid she was late. She bought two colas because it wasn’t polite if she was the only one to drink. After handed the money to the cashier and turned around, she saw Nayeon was standing behind her. She was surprised because she didn’t expect to saw her acquaintance here. This cinema was located quite far from downtown.

Chaeyoung wait for Nayeon finishing bought her popcorn. Nayeon saw Chaeyoung bring two cups of colas so she asked her whether she was on a date. Chaeyoung was flustered because it seems like she was getting caught. Only if the one she met wasn’t Nayeon, she would say she came with someone. But, since she knew Nayeon and Jungkook had “something” in the past so she had no choice but to lie.

“Ah, it is cheaper if I buy two of it. I am so thirsty so I decided to buy two cups. Do you want one?” Chaeyoung offered the cola to Nayeon.

“No, I am afraid I will go to the toilet in the middle of the movie. I hate leaving in the middle. Anyway, what are you watching?” Nayeon took her popcorn and put in on . She offered Chaeyoung but she politely refused it because her hands were full.

“Emm... I haven’t decided. Do you have a recommendation?” Chaeyoung answered.

“I heard Us was good. But it is too scary for me. I don’t like a thriller movie. I will have trouble sleeping,” Nayeon stopped munching and focused on the announcement. It seems like the movie she was going to watch will be starting soon. She said goodbye to Chaeyoung and walked towards her studio. Chaeyoung took a relieved breath after she saw Nayeon entering the studio.

The world was indeed so narrow. Although they planned to watch the movie at the Cinema which located far from the downtown, choose the schedule where most people avoid, they still met someone they knew. The Cinema not so crowded because some of them were getting into the studio. Most of the people might want to avoid any crowd so they came here. Chaeyoung found an empty sofa and sit on there. She put the cola on the table then took out her phone from her bag. She was texting Jungkook asking about his whereabouts. She informed him that her friend already went to the studio so they were safe now.

Jungkook came out from the toilet and found the sofa where Chaeyoung was sitting. He found her then took a seat beside her. Chaeyoung was aware of Jungkook’s presence but she kept playing with her phone. So did Jungkook. Chaeyoung sent him a text asking about his friend and Jungkook replied.

“Should we move to another place?” Jungkook asked Chaeyoung while still playing with his phone.

“We came far away. It will be a waste,” Chaeyoung afraid that Jungkook will felt down because the plan was cancelled.

“So, what should we watch?” Jungkook asked her again.

“It’s up to you. I heard Us is good. Maybe we can watch it,” although she knew she will close her eyes throughout the movie, it still better than cancelled the plan.

“Okay, wait here I will buy the tickets,” Jungkook stood up to buy the tickets. Three minutes later, Jungkook was back and sat beside Chaeyoung again. He stared at the tickets and thinking how should he give it to her.

“I will leave the ticket here. I think it will be better if we go in separately. I am gonna buy some popcorn so you should go first,” Jungkook talked with tiny voice but loud enough for Chaeyoung to hear.

“Okay. By the way, don’t buy the cola. I already bought it,” Chaeyoung replied to him without looking at his face.

Jungkook stood up and left to buy popcorn. Chaeyoung stared at Jungkook seat and saw the ticket. She took it and read the movie title which printed on the ticket. She was smiling then quickly standing up and went towards the studio. She didn’t want to walk in while the light was turned off. She was afraid she will trip and spill the colas. The light already turned off while Jungkook arrived. He put the big sized popcorn in the middle so Chaeyoung will be able to reach it.

“I am not expecting we are going to watch this movie,” Chaeyoung tried so hard to hide her laughter.

“You said you can’t watch a horror movie. Don’t you know Us is a horror thriller movie? It’s useless if you close your eyes throughout the movie” Jungkook was embarrassed because he knew Chaeyoung was holding her laughter.

“But I can watch Captain Marvel,” Chaeyoung again.

“It’s too risky. My friend earlier said another friend probably come here to watch it. As you said, it will be a waste if the plan is cancelled,” Jungkook tried to keep his cool.

“Thanks. Although it’s not actually waste because you can save money. Hehehe… Anyway, that’s your cola,”

“Thank you. By the way, I bought big sized popcorn. I hope you don’t mind sharing it with me. I am afraid you will feel uncomfortable. But, in order to avoid worst case scenario, I choose to not buy two because it will be so obvious,” Jungkook didn’t want Chaeyoung to had the wrong idea about the popcorn so he explained it beforehand.

Chaeyoung’s face got redder. The cliché romantic movie scene drama popped out on her head. The scene where the male lead and female lead hands were touched when they grabbed the popcorn. Thank God the light was turned off now. It helped Chaeyoung to hide her tomato face.

“I hope you don’t mind if I eat your share too,” Jungkook said it beforehand so Chaeyoung won’t get mad. Chaeyoung felt like she was by the lightning. So, the real meaning behind his apology was the portion. She was so embarrassed because she thought something cringy. Of course, Jungkook won’t think as she did.

“Ahahaha don’t mind it. you can eat it as much as you want,” Chaeyoung answered and tried not sounds embarrassed.

“Really? Thanks,” Jungkook smiled happily. The advertisement finally finished and the movie was started. Chaeyoung couldn’t hold her smile when the main character of the movie was shown. She didn’t expect she will watch this cute little elephant with extra big ears with someone who looked tough like Jungkook. She was all smiling but tried to hide it by putting her hand on . She was touched because Jungkook chooses this movie instead of watching the thriller one.  The possibility to meet their friends also low because most of the viewers were families.

The movie was fun and Chaeyoung really enjoyed it. She forgot when was the last time she watched in Cinema. The price is quite expensive so she rarely went to Cinema. But she was glad because she finally got the fun back. If we did something too often, it will lose its fun gradually.

Jungkook put his hand on the popcorn box to grab some. He almost ate half of the popcorn and felt bad because Chaeyoung hasn’t even touched it. He took a glance at Chaeyoung who was really focused on the movie. Jungkook continued to eat the popcorn he had on his hand and after he finished it, he drank the cola. He was staring at Chaeyoung again. He lifted the popcorn box and offered it to Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung was surprised and smiled. She put his hand on the box and grabbed some. Jungkook was finally able to eat the popcorn again after getting rid of his guilt.

What so bad about snacking is, when we start to eat, we will crave for more. Chaeyoung finally finished the popcorn on her hand. Her right hand now moved to grab some more but her eyes were still glued to the screen. The movie now playing the and it made Chaeyoung focused on it. Jungkook about to grab some more, but he saw Chaeyoung’s hand was hanging on top of the box. He lifted the box so that her hand could reach the popcorn. Her hand just grabbed it instinctively. It also happened when she was grabbed her cola cup. Jungkook was amused with her concentration. How could she stopped everything she was doing while focused on the movie. He closed his mouth with his hand and to prevent his laughing voice. He might look crazy right now. Most of the people were sniffing because of the sad story but here he was laughing alone.

The movie finally almost came to an end. Chaeyoung was smiling because it was a happy ending for Dumbo. She could more relax now. She took her cola cup and sipped her remaining cola. Suddenly she felt something warm was flowing down on her private place. She was stoned. She put her cola down and looking for her phone. She checked today date and she felt a bit relieved. But still, she felt anxious. She wanted to leave now but the movie hasn’t reached its end. There were a lot of reasons that restrain her to leave her seat. First, she hated if she couldn’t watch the movie until the credit title end. Besides, there were some minutes left before it really ends. Second, she was afraid of walking in the dark. She felt she will trip. When she was fighting with her own self, the movie finally finished. The viewers were stood up from their seats and began to leave the studio.

“You are not leaving?” Jungkook asked Chaeyoung who still sat down on her seat.

“In some more minutes. I will wait till it gets less crowded,” Chaeyoung smiled awkwardly. She hopes Jungkook will leave first but after hearing her answer, Jungkook back to sit down.

Finally, the studio seems to be less crowded. Jungkook stood up and walked towards the staircase. Chaeyoung followed him from behind. She was relieved because she sat on the inner side so she won’t walk in front of him. She covered the back side of her skirt with her tiny sling-bag. She hoped it could cover the red stain spot although she wasn’t sure if it really had the red stain. They were walking down the stairs, side to side and it made her felt safe.

“RION, DON’T RUN!” the lady who walked behind them was scolding her son who was running down the stairs.

Jungkook turned his head and saw the boy was running in his line. Jungkook moved aside so the boy won’t fall. He was walked behind Chaeyoung now. Chaeyoung was panicked so she awkwardly held her sling-bag so it won’t move. Her clumsy movement was catching Jungkook’s attention. He didn’t mean to stare at her but instinctively he looked at it because her hand was holding her bag awkwardly. Jungkook intended to walk beside her so she won’t felt embarrassed but he decided not to because there were some people who walked behind them. They were walking so slowly and the family behind them was accelerating their steps to catch their son. After sure no one was behind them, Jungkook moved and walked beside her again.

They were now almost reached the exit door. Chaeyoung was ready to speed walking towards the toilet but, before she did, Jungkook was holding her arm. Chaeyoung was surprised. She looked at Jungkook with wide eyes. From his eyes, her stare then moved down to his other hand. He held his outer shirt and handed it over to her.

“You can use it. I will wait outside,” Jungkook gave his shirt by put it on Chaeyoung’s hand. He didn’t want Chaeyoung to get embarrassed so he immediately left her first.

Chaeyoung was stoned. She could feel a lot of feeling mixed into one. Embarrassment, grateful, sad, upset, happy, everything was mixed and it resulting in indescribable feeling. She was embarrassed because why out of all the time it must be now? Why out of all the people it must be him?  She almost crying in embarrassment but she realized she should go. She tied the arm parts of the shirt on her waist then controlling her expression and set her face on default face when walked outside the studio. She headed towards the toilet but unluckily there was a long queue.

One of the toilet stalls was out of service. Moreover, girls always use the toilet longer than boys. It really caused a long queue. Chaeyoung was standing patiently in the queue. She stared at the washstand sink. She was hoped that she could disappear like the water on the sink. She was so embarrassed. She even though she won’t meet him again after this. She kept blank spacing until someone touched her shoulder.

“A guy told me to give this to you. He said you left it on the sofa,” said the girl who tapped Chaeyoung’s shoulder while handing her a goody bag.

“It’s mine? I don’t think I left…,” Chaeyoung was confused but she took the goody bag and saw what was inside it.

“Oh, that’s right it’s mine. I forgot to take it with me. Thank you,” Chaeyoung immediately claimed the bag after she saw what was inside it. She thought she couldn’t get more embarrassed than witnessing Jungkook saw the red stain on her skirt, but she was wrong. She gave up the plan to run away and disappear because she can’t do that after what Jungkook gave to her. Now, she was busy thinking about whether she should explain it to him or not. The girl opened the middle stall door. It’s finally Chaeyoung’s turn. She opened the goody bag and used what was inside it. After she cleaned herself, she got out of the toilet.

Chaeyoung stood in the edge of the corridor looking for Jungkook. When she was screening around the main hall of the Cinema, she caught a familiar face and quickly walked inside the corridor. She was reaching her phone and dialled Jungkook’s number. She didn’t know today was her worse day. Why did the unwanted event coming non-stop on her supposed to be a good day?

“Hey, where are you?” Chaeyoung asked Jungkook as soon as he picked the call.

“I am waiting on the studio 5 corridor,” Jungkook answered. Chaeyoung quickly looking towards the studio 5 corridor and saw Jungkook was sitting on the sofa.

“Stay there. Don’t go anywhere. You’d better lowering your cap and keep your head down,” Chaeyoung instructed Jungkook.

“Why?” Jungkook was confused at her sudden command.

“I see your friend,” Chaeyoung answered.

“Who?” Jungkook straightening his sitting position because he was surprised.

“Mingyu. No! Stay seated. Don’t try to look for him. He is now in front of the ticket counter. It’s too risky because he is standing in the straight line with you. If he turned his head, he would catch you,” Chaeyoung told Jungkook about Mingyu’s position.

“Alright, so now what should I do?” Jungkook did what Chaeyoung told him.

“You’d better stay hidden. I will inform you if it safe for you to leave, okay? I will hang up now,” Chaeyoung end the phone call while still observing the situation. She needed to be careful too. Besides, it was riskier for her. If Mingyu saw her and he greeted her. It’s a game over.

Chaeyoung kept her eyes on Mingyu. The corridor where she stood was on the far left behind the ticket counter and the corridor where Jungkook waited was on her right. The studio 5 corridor was located in the straight line as the ticket and snack counter.  She was spying on Mingyu and luckily since Mingyu was so tall, his movement was easier to detect. Mingyu suddenly turned his head to the right and he was on that position for quite a while. Chaeyoung afraid he will recognize Jungkook.

“HI!” Chaeyoung called Mingyu immediately when she sensed danger. Although she was on the phone, her eyes were still glued on Mingyu. Thank God he didn’t look on Jungkook way anymore.

“Oh, hi. What’s with this sudden random call?” Mingyu sounds surprised.

“Oh. Hahaha… Nothing. Hem.. Where are you now?” Chaeyoung was panicked because she didn’t plan it beforehand. She didn’t know what to say.

“Me? Why should I tell you? Anyway, what’s wrong? It so rare of you to call me,” Mingyu was curious.

“Oh, hmm. I… You know the Captain Marvel movie. I heard it is good. Well… I wonder if you already watch it,” Chaeyoung just saying anything on her mind without further thinking. She remembered she should get Jungkook out of here. It was the best timing. When she distracted Mingyu, maybe Jungkook could sneakily go out. Chaeyoung needed to tell Jungkook through text so when she was talking on the phone and her other hand was looking for her earphone. She plugged in the earphones so that she could talk on the phone while texting Jungkook.

He is on the phone. think it's the best timing for you to get ready,” Chaeyoung sent the message to Jungkook.

Okay, I think you should buy the popcorn. The queue is quite long too. Oh, Chaeng I am sorry. I just talking with my friend. So, in other words, are you asking me for a movie date?” Mingyu .

“WAIT, WHAT? Are you with a friend?!” Chaeyoung was panicked and quickly sent another message while still talking.

“Oh, I am sorry. I mean…,” it’s hard for Chaeyoung to multitasking. She lost her focused on the conversation because she was texting. “NO NO. DON’T COME OUT. Stay hidden,” she sent it.

“Are you jealous? Hahaha… I am with my teammate. Jaehyun. You should know him. He is so popular. But, Chaeng, I am really sorry. I think I can’t go on a movie date with you now. To be honest, I am in the cinema now and I am going to watch Captain Marvel,” Mingyu apologize.

“No, no, no it’s okay. Anyway what time is your movie?” Chaeyoung asked. She was hoping she could get the studio of Mingyu’s movie.

“Why? Are you planning to come here? But, I think you can’t make it,” Mingyu answered.

“Of course not. Hahaha… Okay, so if you finished watching the movie, please tell me. I need a recommendation. If it’s good I planned to watch it with my friends,”

I will have the butter one. Yes, of course. I will inform you about it. I am sorry Chaengi,” Mingyu apologize.

“Nah, it’s okay. Okay then, enjoy your movie! Bye!” Chaeyoung hung up. She indeed sounds so weird. She just hoped Mingyu won’t notice how unnatural she was.

“Let’s wait till they come inside the studio. They most likely go to studio 2,” Chaeyoung almost touched the sent button but she didn’t. She erased the second sentence before she sent it. She remembered that Jungkook didn’t know she and Mingyu knew each other. It must be weird if she knew which studio he will head to.

“No. My other friend’s movie will finish in some minutes. I’d better leave now,” Jungkook replied.

Chaeyoung remembered they met Dokyeom before the movie started. She had no choice but to guide Jungkook to leave this place. She called Jungkook and told him to standby. She saw Mingyu was walking toward the movie poster hanged in the column which located in the middle of the hallway. She then gave Jungkook an instruction to leave now. Jungkook followed her instruction and walked cautiously. He tried so hard to look straight without looking at his surroundings.

“Oh My God!” Chaeyoung screamed in surprised.

“What? What’s going on?” Jungkook panicked but still managed to look natural while walking towards the exit.

“I think ….. Jaehyun just found you,” Chaeyoung replied with a sad voice.

The Truth Untold: The Errand Boy

Jungkook left the Theater as soon as he handed his shirt to Chaeyoung. He remembered he saw a minimart near the Theater. His memory was right, there was a minimart 4 store away from the Cinema. He was walking at a faster speed. He walked straightly to the hygiene section. He was looking for the menstrual pad and luckily he didn’t need much time to find it. He was standing in front of the shelf and read carefully one by one what was written on each brand.

“Ahem, excuse me,” said a woman to Jungkook because she wanted to pass through. Jungkook was startled and quickly move closer to the shelf so the woman would have enough space to pass through. He was embarrassed because he was caught staring at the menstrual pad with a serious face. He couldn’t decide which one he should get so he just randomly took the one with the smallest package. Moreover, the reason he chose the small pack because it wasn’t obviously seen by the other costumer.

Jungkook walked towards the Cashier to pay. While waiting for his turn, Jungkook saw the medicine which his Mom used to tell him to buy when she had a period. Jungkook took the medicine then back to the queue. Luckily there wasn’t any costumer left in the store so he won’t get too embarrassed. The cashier finished processing the payment of the middle age man in front him and it’s finally his turn. He put the small package of the menstrual pad and menstrual medicine on the counter.

“Do you intend to buy this?” asked the cashier who was a middle-aged woman.

“Eung? Ah yes,” Jungkook answered shyly. He was embarrassed because the cashier asked that ensuring question.

“It is liner. It’s different from the menstrual pad,” the cashier gave him the information about the product he was about to buy. Jungkook didn’t understand and it showed in his eyes. His eyes were shaking and he was busy looking right and left.

“Follow me,” the cashier was smiling after looking Jungkook’s confused face. Jungkook followed her obediently.

“This is called liner. These are menstrual pad. They are different. Woman uses a menstrual pad when they have a period. So, you better buy this one,” explained the Cashier.

“Oh, okay then I’ll take this one,” Jungkook replied in a tiny voice.

“Does it happen suddenly?” asked the cashier again when they were walking towards the counter.

“Ah, yes. She just had it minutes ago,” Jungkook replied.

“Then, you’d better buy disposable underwear too. It is located on the corner of this section,” said the Cashier while pointed the location of the thing she mentioned with her finger.

“Oh, okay, thanks,” Jungkook quickly went to the direction and grabbed one box. He was back then put in on the counter.

“Ckckckck, boy, are you sure this is the right size? I think your sister might kill you if she knows you buy the wrong size. My son got scolded by his sister yesterday because he bought the wrong pad,” the Cashier told the story of her children to Jungkook. Maybe Jungkook remind her of her son so she voluntary helped Jungkook to buy this woman necessity.

“Honestly, I don’t know exactly about the size. Can you help me, Ma’am?” Jungkook was being honest and asked her for help.

“Sure. So, how tall and how skinny is your sister?” asked her again.

“She is about this height and quite skinny,” Jungkook pointed on his shoulder to show the approximate height of “his sister”.

The Cashier returned the box Jungkook took and exchanged it with smaller size. She scanned the goods barcode, inform the total price and put it on the plastic bag. Before he paid, Jungkook asked whether she sells shopping or goody bag. The plastic wasn’t transparent but it’s thin so people would able to see what was inside. The Cashier was smiling while looking at Jungkook’s shy face.

“Thank you,” Jungkook took the change.

“You are welcome. I hope you won’t get scolded by your sister. How grateful of her to have good little brother,” said the Cashier when showing her motherly smile. Jungkook bowed then left the store in a rush.

He arrived at the Theater and went straight to the woman toilet. He was waiting in front of the door and now he realized he just causing another problem. He didn’t know how to give it to her! He was forcing his brain to think. Should he called her and told her to come out? But, it would be awkward if she knew what he was about to give. It would make her embarrassed. But, he already bought it. What if she already had all the necessity? It would be useless and he will be embarrassed if she accidentally found out what inside the bag. Besides, if he didn’t give it to her, what should he do about all these products? It must be weird if he gave it to his Mom so suddenly.

“Oh My God, let’s find another toilet! The line is too long,” said the girl who just came out from the toilet.

Jungkook still had hoped after hearing what that girl said. There was a chance she hasn’t used the toilet because of the long line. He suddenly got an idea. He stopped one of the girls who was about to come inside and asked her to give it to the girl who wore a white shirt and pink skirt. He said that the girl left the bag on the sofa and he wanted to return it.

Jungkook was waiting anxiously in front of the toilet. If the girl he asked for help came out again so quickly, that’s mean, Chaeyoung was still in the toilet. But, if she didn’t come out for a minute, that’s means she was still waiting in the line. After waiting around a minute, the girl didn’t come out. Jungkook was relieved then with the light step he was walking towards the waiting area. He scanned the main hall and saw there was one empty spot in Studio 5 hallway. He walked there and waited for her.
