Wonwoo couldn’t help but glance at her, almost in every second.

He needed to know her reaction about the joke his friends said earlier.

He felt bad because he noticed that she didn’t like it.

How could she like the joke? She looked confused what to answer. She even tried many times to make it clear that she and Wonwoo were not dating and that she already had a boyfriend.

Somehow Wonwoo’s heart ached to hear her explaining that, but what could he do. That was the truth. She was other guy’s girlfriend and he needed to remind himself about this many times. Gosh.

The good thing was after they moved on other topic, she was like forgetting what the three other friends had been teasing about and kept smiling and laughing. Everything went okay, and Wonwoo sighed in relief. He thought he would get different treatment from her after that, which he didn’t want it to happen. He was very worried if he couldn’t have her smiling at him again. Maybe he would go crazy if it would ever happen.

After dinner, they decided to watch a new superhero movie which was Seungcheol’s favorite. She and Myungho went to the counter and bought the tickets for them while the seniors were waiting for them near popcorn and soda counter. At that time, Wonwoo couldn’t help but glare at Seungcheol and Jeonghan.

Jeonghan seemed predicted this would happen but he still looked confused. “Why did I do? Why are you glaring at me?”

Wonwoo looked at Jeonghan. “Why are you two so noisy? What if she’s not comfortable about that?” he couldn’t hide anger and annoyance in his voice. He couldn’t explain what was going in his head but he wished he could.

“About what? About the jokes?” Seungcheol giggled, replying it for Jeonghan. “Don’t blame us. It’s Myungho who started it.” he pointed at Myungho who was chatting with her while standing in line for buying the tickets.

“Yeah, Wonwoo, it’s all because of Myungho. I’ve told you he’s been curious about you and your girl, so he just let out what he had predicted.” Jeonghan casually answered. He looked at Seungcheol. “Do you want popcorns, Cheol?”

“Sure.” Seungcheol grinned like a little boy.

Jeonghan smiled. He looked at Wonwoo. “What about you, Wonwoo sunbae?” he mimicked the way she called Wonwoo. Seungcheol laughed.

Wonwoo groaned. “But you kept teasing her.” he said, stick to the topic.

“Because we didn’t know too that you two hugged. Oh my God.” Seungcheol shook his head. He smirked at Wonwoo. “Yah, you two hugged, oh my God. That’s very good news for me, I don’t know why I’m so happy.” He had that very big smile on his face. Wonwoo ignored it, this friend started to again.

“It’s like Wonwoo would get a chance to win her heart.” Jeonghan said, still joining the conversation as he paid for popcorns. “It’s like it’s a very first good chance for him.”

“And the fact that she hugged him first,” Seungcheol beamed happily. He looked at Wonwoo with a grin. “I told you, she likes you, but in different way.” Wonwoo rolled his eyes.

“She just hugged me because of the cold.” He groaned, trying to keep his mind sane. He didn’t want to set his hope too high, because he really knew she hugged him only because of the cold.

“But why should she hug you? I mean, she could just let you freezing, or give you her scarf even though you didn’t want to take it.” Jeonghan said, giving the popcorn to Seung-cheol. Looking at silent Wonwoo, he then said. “Oh, maybe she thought of you as her brother again. That will make sense.”

Wonwoo sighed. “Yeah, maybe that’s true.” She had no other reason, didn’t she?

“Maybe she missed you too, you know. Because you two haven’t met for two weeks at that time.” Seungcheol added. Wonwoo never believed this kind of theory.

“I never think she would do that.” He sighed once again. That was the most possible reason why she hugged him, yeah, because she thought of him as her brother. Well, it was really nothing special about the hug, but Wonwoo wished he could hug her back at that time.

“How did it feel, Wonwoo?” Seungcheol asked, curious. “The hug?”

What…?

If he ever wanted to recall the hug, it was very warm. He really liked the feeling she pressed her cheek on his chest, even though he was afraid she would hear his rapid heartbeats. He really liked the way her hands around his waist. He felt loved and felt weird at the same time, but if he ever was given chance to hug her again, he would do it. He would hug her tightly so she wouldn’t leave him for other guy.

“It’s… warm.” Wonwoo slowly answered, as he couldn’t explain the entire things he felt for that hug.

Jeonghan smiled at those words. “Oh dear God. Men really become soft when they fall in love.” He said, followed by a chuckle by Seungcheol. “I swear I will pray to God to make you two together.” He pointed at her and then at Wonwoo. This friend really wasn’t careful. What if she noticed? It would be a more job to do to explain what actually they were talking about here.

“And I swear I will help you till the end until you get her, Wonwoo.” Seungcheol said, full of energy, like he was ready for a war. He just felt energized after eating popcorn.

“No, Seung-cheol. I don’t know what I should do anymore.” Wonwoo sighed once again. He knew he was a coward, he didn’t try to do something about his feelings. Sometimes he felt happy just because he had her by his side. Yeah, that was really simple. As long as she was here with him, it was enough. He didn’t know when that greed really hit him, that he finally did the things he never thought of doing before, like, really taking her from her boyfriend. He didn’t know.

“Don’t lose hopes. I bet she will end up with you.” Jeonghan said, full of confidence. “If she can’t be your girlfriend now, perhaps she will be your wife? But, that depends, in ten years from now, you still want her or not.” he laughed, he slowly stopped laughing as she and Myungho came back to them with tickets.

On another day, Wonwoo kept checking on her.

She didn’t change a bit, she was her usual self and nothing seemed bothered her. She treated Wonwoo like how she usually did and she kept joking and laughing with him. They even had lunch together today and they discussed about many things, including the MT. Wonwoo felt so relieved but he also felt miserable. This was how he couldn’t move on and do something, he was always afraid on how she would react if he confessed his feelings. And he was not ready if one day she turned her back against him and hated him because of that. Loving her was not a sin, but telling her his feelings would be a bad choice. And what if they couldn’t go together like this anymore? He was afraid to lose everything he enjoyed together with her.

They were talking about Seungcheol as their leader as they heard someone calling her name. A brownish haired guy walked up to them while bringing many thick books. He smiled brightly at her and she comfortably talked to him. Wonwoo needed some seconds to recognize that the guy was the same guy who took care of her books and bag when she got nosebleed months ago. That classmate guy and the guy who sounded too friendly to Wonwoo. So, he met this guy again.

“Sunbae, this is Lee Chan, my classmate.”

Yeah, finally Wonwoo knew this guy’s name. He always had been curious since that day, since this guy looked and sounded like he knew Wonwoo. He was busy looking at this Lee Chan guy, trying to figure out why the guy sounded very friendly to him.

“We’ve met again, don’t you think the world is too small?”

Wonwoo didn’t expect him to say those words again. He blinked many times.

But actually Wonwoo didn’t need to feel weird because of the words since he probably could meet this Lee Chan guy in campus area. He’s her classmates which meant he could find Wonwoo easily. Their faculties were close to each other. But…

“Yeah, I think it happened long time ago, so you don’t remember.” That Lee Chan guy said again.

Wonwoo caught the words weird. What did happen long time ago? And why did he not remember?

Meanwhile, she sounded so confused. “What? You met him before?”

Did Wonwoo really meet this Lee Chan guy before? Where?

It seemed far before they met in the library. But where?

It got weirder as that Lee Chan guy didn’t explain about it, but Wonwoo was still curious. That guy told her to go to the library soon since he needed to go for his part-time job after looking for books for their assignment. That was the time when she said to Wonwoo that she needed to go first. He had no choice but to let her go, even though he still wanted to spend more minutes with her before she started her shift in the library. And the fact was he couldn’t meet her for the next seven days because he would be on a trip made him want to spend time as much as possible with her.

“Yeah. See you later.” He waved at her. She waved back and smiled.

Wonwoo came back to his faculty but he was thinking about that Lee Chan guy. That reaction given by that guy surely meant they had met before, but why Wonwoo couldn’t remember where did they meet? He had met many people every day and he was not really good in remembering faces sometimes. But really, he couldn’t stay still, he was dead curious. Wonwoo was too immersed in his own thought and he didn’t realize that his lab mate has been calling him hundred times.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I don’t hear you.” Wonwoo murmured apology.

Im Changkyun just shook his head. “What are you thinking about? It seems very serious.”

“Nothing.” Wonwoo didn’t plan to tell this to his friend. They had lots things to think about actually. “Why did you call me?”

“I just want to remind you tomorrow we have to be here at 6.” Changkyun said. “And I told you to bring books I want to borrow.”

Wonwoo nodded, remembering their trip tomorrow. They would attend some seminars related to their concentration in biology and somehow they would help them most in their final project. Mostly almost all 4th year students in the department came to join the trip since the seminars would have many speakers and also famous speakers in biological science world. They would come to some seminars in three different universities in Daegu, Kwangju and Busan. That would be a long and tiring trip but it would be surely fun.

“Okay, I’ll bring them tomorrow.” Wonwoo at last replied.

Changkyun nodded. “Then I just come back to my flat and prepare everything for tomorrow.” He rose from his seat and took his bag. “See you.”

Wonwoo was still sitting on his seat as his friend left the lab. Thinking that he didn’t have to prepare much for the trip as he had prepared it days ago, he decided to go to that place after this.

Yeah, to the public library.

Wonwoo stopped walking and looked at the clinic where she had ta
