The nightly call finally comes through, and his face appears on your phone screen. As his eyes land back on his phone, a smile spreads across his face.

“Hey,” Kyungsoo greets shyly.

“Hey,” You grin, “How’s Japan?”

“It’s alright, I guess.” He shrugs.

“What do you mean you guess?” You laugh.

“‘Cause you’re not here.”

You groan with a roll of your eyes.

“I can’t wait to show you off to the entire world…” His words trail off, and his smile fades slightly.

“We’ll be the cutest couple in existence, someday,” You assure.

He sighs deeply as his eyes close. His lips press into a thin line before he speaks again. “I long for the day I get to hug you in the open.”

“And I’ll wait as long as it takes for that day to come.”

“I really don’t deserve you.”

“Shut up. What would you even do without me?” You joke, bringing his smile back.

“Is that Y/N?” You hear Baekhyun in the background.

Chanyeol’s face comes into frame behind Kyungsoo. “It is!”

Then, there’s a chorus of random greetings and weird noises.

“I gotta go.” Kyungsoo’s face is turning red.

“Okay, you guys be careful.”

“We will.” He affirms and blows you a kiss through the video call. Before the call ends, you hear s already teasing him for it.
