You hate dating apps. Absolutely hate them. Why? The guys either just want to hookup or stand you up for a date. Today was no exception for the latter.

The cafe is busy, and you’re sat next to a window with a view of the door, hoping to see the guy walk in. You already feel ridiculous since you’ve told the waitress twice that you’re waiting for your date. After the third time, you see a cute guy come in. Too bad he’s not your date.

You busy yourself with your phone avoiding another encounter with your waitress, the next time she might kick you out. It’s a busy day, and they need the tables.

“Excuse me?” A sweet voice asks next to you.

You look up to find, not your date, but the cute guy from earlier.

“Can I sit here? The other tables are full.” He asks nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Yeah, of course.” You gesture to the seat in front of you and notice your waitress coming your way, “Just pretend to be my date.”

“Wha-”

“I see your date has arrived. I was about to ask you to leave if you didn’t order anything.” The girl laughs, pulling out a pad and pen.

The guy across from you chuckles behind his hand, and you lightly kick his shin. Once you’ve given your drink orders, you introduce yourself.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Jongdae,” He smiles with his eyes scrunching up in the most adorable way.
