4th day of school - the Morning

 Hyunwoo was opening up the daycare today as Minhyuk was at his presentation and Kihyun would have done it but he stayed with Jooyi at the hospital. He knew that Changkyun had his own keys as well, but only to the back door that lead into the kitchen area which the lights were already on and he could hear the playing of a cartoon. He the lights of the main floor just going to put his own things up in his classroom before returning to the main floor to get things ready for today. He walked back into the cafeteria area too see Haru and Hana already here. "Why are they here?" He looked to Changkyun making breakfast. 

"Oh I learned my new apartment is down the hall from Eunkyung so that she doesn't have to worry about being late to work, I told her that she can bring the girls down to my apartment and I'd take them to school." Changkyun said "Plus today I stayed at her place." He threw that last part in as Hyunwoo choked on his coffee

"You what?" Hyunwoo asked 

"We had a sleepover! Do you know what that even is?" Haru asked from the couch infront of the tv. 

"Of course, I know what that is. I am not stupid." Hyunwoo looked at Haru

"Sometimes that is hard to tell." Haru replied 

"Haru! That is not okay." Changkyun said 

"Well he started it!" Haru turned around as Changkyun put his hands on his hips and gave her a sassy look. "Sorry." She looked at Hyunwoo

"Anyway, I only stayed over because Eunkyung's sister got into some trouble and she needed to go help her." Changkyung told Hyunwoo as Hyungwon walked in the room. 

"Seungjun will not be at school today neither will Minjae. Kihyun called me and I told Sooyoung to keep Seungjun at home. I'll only be here for a couple hours to get my work as I told Sooyoung that I would watch Seungjun." Hyungwon walked off to his office just grabbing what he needed then left for Sooyoung's place so she could go to work. 

Hyunwoo sighed as he watched Sarang walk in with Haneul. She usually wasn't this early. "You're pretty early." He said as he looked at her. 

"Yeah, Jooyi asked me to open up the shop for her. Of course, I said that I would since she is still at the hospital. I just came from there. They are still doing tests, Haneul picked out a nice teddy bear to give to Minjae - didn't you?" Sarang asked the sleepy boy as he nodded. 

"I did." Haneul wrapped his arms around Hyunwoo's neck. 

"Ah, okay. Yeah, I visited last night but had to leave because I didn't want to run into Kyungho just 'cause of some stuff." Hyunwoo sighed as he held Haneul. 

"Alright, I should go. I put a sippy cup of milk in his backpack for him to have that hold him over until eveyone else gets here for breakfast." Sarang said as she walked off just waving bye to Haneul. 

Mi was the next to come in with a bounding Lil'Minhyuk. "Hey, I heard in our group chat. I made a group chat for us mommies since Yerin invited us to a swim thing this weekend. Sarang told us what happened." She said as Hyunwoo was still holding Haneul. 

"They are fine. Kihyun is with Jooyi since Jooyi almost faught Minhyuk right there in the NICU when he said he could wait until next year and present his project, so he is at his school right now probably freaking out." Hyunwoo said as his phone was buzzing in his back pocket. "Could you check my phone. Haneul is guled to me like a parasite." Hyunwoo said

"Sure." Mi grabbed his phone as she answered the call. "Hello Minhyuk-sshi, Hyunwoo has a child glued to him." She said 

"Oh hi. I need one of them to bring me my lecture notes. I printed them off, put them in nice folders, and I left them in my office. I can't leave. My presentation is in like an hour. Can you tell one of them to please bring them, I'll pay them extra." Minhyuk said 

"No problem, I'll bring them to you. I don't have to go into the office or store untill this after noon. Just text me at my number where you are." Mi told him her number as she hung up Hyunwoo's phone. "Can you show me Minhyuk's office and where his lecture notes would be for his paper? He left them here and I am going to take them to him. Min-ah, go play with your friends." Mi said as Lil'Minhyuk nodded. 

"This way." Hyunwoo said as he opened up Minhyuk's office as he watched Mi grab the stack. "Thanks." Hyunwoo told her "You didn't have to offer to do that." He said to her. 

"No, it is okay. Over this past week, I have felt like I have gained new family members. I like that for Minhyuk and myself." Mi said as she looked at him. "Well I better hurry. Call me when you know anything about Minjae. I know what it is like having a premie child." Mi waved to him as she left. Mi got into her car as she typed in the address that Minhyuk had texted her. It only took her about twenty minutes to drive there and park. She got out just walking in the campus getting a lot of stares as she did. She pushed up her sunglasses as she entered the building that Minhyuk was waiting in. She found the blond headed man  glued to his phone and sitting next to a charger on the floor. She didn't blame him. "Minhyuk-sshi." Mi said as he looked up

"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much." Minhyuk jumpped up as he took the booklets from her. "Jooyi would have killed me if I didn't do well today." He said 

"Oh I heard that you two almost had wwe smackdown in the hospital last night." Mi laughed 

"Hyunwoo told you?" Minhyuk sighed. "Yeah, most of my relationship with Joo had mainly revolved around me in school. She is very serious about me finishing." Minhyuk said 

"I would be too. You're almost there. Plus I can tell Jooyi loves you a lot and wouldn't want you to give up on your dream." Mi said as she patted his shoulder. "What hospital room are they in? I want to stop by and make sure she doesn't need anything." Mi said 

"Oh, you don't have to." Minhyuk said "This is enough." He added 

"I want to." Mi said as Minhyuk wrote down the hospital and room on a sticky note and gave it to her. "Alright thank you. Good luck today. I am sure you'll do great." Mi said as she waved as she left. She got back out to her car just getting in and heading to the hospital. She stopped by the store and grabbed a few things to give to Jooyi. She parked and headed into the hospital just going to the right floor and knocked on the door just smiling at Kihyun. "Is it okay if I come in?" She asked

"Yeah, of course." Kihyun said as he closed the door after she came. "They think he just had an asthma attack due to him having bronchitis. Minjae probably picked it up at the park." Kihyun said 

Mi nodded as Jooyi was asleep in a hospital pull out couch just having one hand inside Minjae's hospital crib as he was holding her fingers. "I brought these for Jooyi and Minjae. If you need to go to work then I can stay with her. I don't have to be at any real work situtaion until later this afternoon. My friend can mangage the shop like she always does." Mi said 

"Are you sure?" Kihyun asked 

"Yes, please. It is the least I could do after Hyunwoo watched Minhyuk and he stayed with them." Mi said as she watched Kihyun grab his jacket and phone. She assumed he hadn't been home at all snice being here. 

"Thanks." Kihyun said "The doctor should be coming in an hour or so, wake up Joo then." Kihyun said as he left. 

Mi sat the bag of goodies she got her down on the table in the small room just sitting next to Minjae in the chair Kihyun was sitting in. "Hi there, I'm Mi-noona." Mi let Minjae grabbed her manicured finger as she shook it slightly as the door opened. 

"Mrs. Lee-" Kyungho walked into the room. "What are you doing here?" He gave Mi a look. 

"I came to help my friend." Mi said as she looked at him. She stood up as she started to walk to Jooyi. 

"Don't wake her up, I am just bringing Minjae a bottle and checking on him. I had to give her something to help her sleep as she almost brawled her own husband at the nurses station." Kyungho said as he checked Minjae's monitor. 

"Well at least they aren't afraid to show how much they love each other." Mi said as she placed the blanket she had bought over Jooyi. She knew that Kyungho wouldn't answer that. "I can feed Minjae. I have done this before." She said

Kyungho looked at her. "Hold with two fingers at the bottom. He can hold it, but his hand just aren't big enough. He is small for his age." Kyungho said

"He was born pretty early. He is a little miracle baby like Minhyukkie." Mi sat next to Minjae.

"Please inform Mrs. Lee that if Minjae takes to the medicine well, they will be home this afternoon." He said as he left the room as he passed his nurses station. He filled out Minjae's chart there as he leaned against the counter. 

"Isn't that your ex-wife? Why is she-" One of his fellow doctors on call, Seokjin(BTS) looked at him

"Our son attends the same daycare that Jooyi's husband owns. They are friends." Kyungho looked at him. 

"If it is too awkward or hard for you then I can finish this one for you." Seokjin said 

"No, it is okay. I am fine. She probably won't be here that long. Plus it will give me a chance to talk to her about maybe me spending more time with Minhyuk." Kyungho said as he placed Minjae's chart back in it's slot. 

"Yeah, if it hasn't happened yet then it won't." Seokjin picked up his patient's chart as he walked off. 

Back in the room, Mi had finished feeding Minjae as she leaned out of the door just looking at the nurse while Kyungho was busy talking to another pair of parents in another room. "Is it okay if I give Minjae a bath? He isn't on oxygen anymore, but I thought would make sure." Mi said 

"Oh yeah, I was just about to come do that. I mean if you don't mind to then I can give you the items." The nurse said 

"I have my own son, I use to this." Mi chuckled as she took the basket from the nurse. Mi set down the basket next to the sink in the bathroom. She placed the bathrub in the sick as she guessed that they didn't want him to take a full bath just a sponge bath. Mi walked over to Minjae just picking him up as he played with her earrings. "Minjae-ah, you won't make a fuss if  I give you a bath?" Mi told him as she set him on the counter just starting to give him a bath. She finished around the time that Jooyi had woken herself up. Mi was just carrying Minjae out of the bathroom just having dressed him in an outfit that she had found in his daiper bag. "Oh look, Jae. It is mommy." Mi told Minjae as she walked over to Minjae. "I relieved Kihyun and have been hanging out with mister tough guy." Mi said

"I can take over just woah." Jooyi held onto the side of the couch. 

"Steady there, Kyungho said that he had to give you something to help you sleep. I heard about the almost brawl." Mi said as she laid Minjae down just rubbing his stomach to help him rest. 

"Yeah, I've been a little crazy these past two days." Jooyi said "Thanks. I don't know how I can repay you." Jooyi said as she looked at her

"You don't have to, Jooyi. We are friends." Mi told her "Oh I picked you up a few things to snack on. Hospital vending machines ." Mi said as she pointed to the bag on the table. "Oh also if Minjae takes well to the medicine then you guys are out of here by the afternoon." She added "By the way just curious, you're not-" Mi started 

"No, I am not. It was hard enough to have Minjae in first place. I am not a prime baby maker." Jooyi said "I only almost chopped Minhyuk's head off last night because he was speaking nonsense and actting like an idiot. I told him not to come back until he had a PhD then Kihyun dragged me back in here and made me lay down." Jooyi shook her head

Mi chuckled. "You are so cute, I am jealous." Mi said 

"Oh please, you shouldn't be." Jooyi said "Plus you do have a little birdy crushing on you." Jooyi said to her

"You have that made that clear when you sent me video of you asking Hyunwoo which of my victoria secret runway walks he liked better. You are cruel." Mi laughed 

"He annoyed me and ate the last peice of cake. He deserved it. Plus he such an easy man to mess with despire his looks." Jooyi laughed. 

Mi shook her head. "I am not really ready for a relationship right now. Hyunwoo is a good friend though right now." Mi said as she nodded as she grabbed her stuff. "Well I should get going and go to work." Mi said as she waved bye to Minjae. "Call me if you need anything." She said to her as she walked out.

Breakfast was just starting as Hyunwoo had adressed to everyone that Minjae and Seungjun were sick today so that they would not be at school today. Everyone was eatting peacefully and Hoseok had left to get his science expermient ready for the kids. It wasn't a group one so only he would be showing it to them as this one was little messy. This morning was awkward when Chaeyeon had dropped off Yeojin. It was almost like that they had taken a step back as they weren't as comfortable and she only said good morning, told him about Yeojin that morning and then left. He sighed as he got the station ready as he waited for the kids to come into the science room. 

Back in the main room, breakfast was finishing pu as Kihyun entered the room just in new clothes and what not. "Is Minjae okay?!" Lil'Minhyuk said with his mouth full of pancakes. "We had plans to teach him to play catch at reccess. Plus he is like my little brother. I mean slept in his houe." He added as he nodded with Haneul and Minho. Their sleepover was his justification to label them as brothers now. 

Kihyun chuckled. "You two are cute. He is fine. He'll be at school tomorrow." Kihyun said with a nod

"That is good. Seungjunnie is sick too." Haneul nodded as he ate 

"He has the yuckies." Minho said as he ate a grape

"Tummy yuckies?" Lil'Minhyuk askd as the other nodded. "Those are the worst." He added 

Kihyun didn't know how to understand their conversation so he just walked over to Hyunwoo who had dozed off. "You need a nap?" Kihyun asked 

"Ah, sorry. I didn't sleep that well last night. I was worried about Minjae." Hyunwoo said 

"That is understandable. You've taken care of him just as much as Jooyi and Minhyuk since you live with them. Go lay down in your room. The rest of us can handle them." Kihyun said as he patted his shoulder 

"Okay, not fair! I want to sleep too!" Lil'Minhyuk looked at them 

"And miss out on making slime with Hoseok?" Kihyun asked 

"I can take my nap later. Hyunwoo-hyung, you can use my blanket if you need one." Lil'Minhyuk smiled 

"Thanks, I think it might be too small." Hyunwoo answered "Did you call me hyung? At school you should said sam." He added 

"That is no fun. Oh maybe I should I call you 'hyunnie-bear' like my mom. She thinks she's being clever when talking to her friends but I know." Lil'Minhyuk nodded 

Hyunwoo felt his ears get read. "Absolutely not." He gave the younger a look. He rubbed his face as he sighed. 

"Why are you ears getting so read, Woo-sam?" Hana asked "Are you getting sick?" She asked "I'll share my medicine with you." Hana raised up the little cup of allgery medicine that Changkyun had just given her. 

"No thanks, Hana-ah. I am not sick." Hyunwoo said as he looked at Kihyun. "I am going to lay down before things get worse." Hyunwoo said 

"Have a good nap and have sweet dreams, my hyunnie-bear!" Lil'Minhyuk called out 

Hyunwoo just groaned as he walked off as he glared at the table of laughing children. He just marched off as he just fell on the carpeted rug in the middle of the room as he laid his head in his arms as he just laid there. 

"What are you doing?" Hoseok passed 

"I am yelling internalling at my frustrations." Hyunwoo said "Please just move along." He waved him off 

"Uhm, I just going to shut the door." Hoseok said as he walked into the main room after shutting the door. "I think Hyunwoo is broken." Hoseok told Kihyun

"Well you missed why." Kihyun looked at him. 

"Which one of them?" Hoseok asked 

"Guess." Kihyun looked at little Minhyuk helping clean Haneul sticky syrup face and hands. 

"Damn, then I missed something great." Hoseok mumbled as he crossed his arms. "When you guys get done with breakfast, go sit down on the couch next to tables while we wait for our friends to get down then we will go play with slime!" Hoseok said to them as he watched Kihyun and Jooheon start to help Changkyun clean up. He a cartoon for them watch while a few were still finishing up their food.

Hyungwon was doing his paperwork while he was watching cartoons and also sitting in a make tent with Seungjun. "Drink your juice so you don't get dehydrated and eat your breakfast so you medicine doesn't make you sick." Hyungwon told him not looking up from his laptop. 

"I know. You told me that when you gave to it me." Seungjun looked at him "Thanks for helping my mommy. Mommy doesn't have a lot of people around to help her expect Eunwoo-noona but she couldn't leave work which understable. Big adults have to go to work so they don't die right?" Seungjun asked Hyungwon

"Well yes in theory." Hyungwon responded. "And it is no problem. I'd rather hang out with you then be stuck in my office." Hyungwon winked at him as the door bell rang. "You stay here and better have all of that oatmeal eatten by the time I get back." Hyungwon playfully poked his forehead. 

"okay, hyungwonnie." Seungjung smiled as he ate. 

Hyungwon walked to the door as he saw a male. "Hm." Hyungwon sounded as he cracked the door slightly. "Hello. Can I help you?" Hyungwon asked 

"Oh. Is Sooyoung home? I heard Seungjun was sick." Jaehyuk tried to peer around Hyungwon. 

"She is not. She is at work."Hyungwon said 

"Who is it? Is the mail person?! I know where to put it." Seungjun scappered up in his peguin one-sie just stopping at full halt when he saw Jaehyuk just latching onto Hyungwon's leg. 

"HI, Seungjun. Are you feeling okay?" Jaehyuk bent down.

"Yes." Seungjun spoke formally unlike the relaxed speech he just spoke to Hyungwon. He let Hyungwon pick him up as he laid his head on Hyungwon's shoulder. 

"I'm Hyungwon, by the way. Sooyoung asked me watch him." He said

"Oh, well then I'm Jaehyuk, his dad. I have the day off so she should have called me. I can take him and explain to Soo-" Jaehyuk started as Seungjun started to cry. 

"No, I don't want Hyungwonnie to leave! I don't want you! Hyungwonnie, don't leave. Don't leave me with him." Seungjun sobbed into Hyungwon's shoulder as Jaehyuk was basically a stranger that came over once every week to play or just give him gifts then would have to leave. Plus Seungjun had only been around Jaehyuk when Sooyoung was around. 

"No, I am going to leave. It is okay, you're going make yourself sick again. Sshh, it is okay." Hyungwon patted Seungjun's back Hyungwon blinked at Jaehyuk. "I think be best if you leave. I am quite capable of taking care of Seungjun, I do have a PhD." Hyungwon said, bluntly. 

"Oh yes. I understand. Well please give these to Seungjun, there are some snacks." Jaehyuk said 

"Most of these have peanuts or have peanut oil in them. He can't eat them. He's allgeric, you must have forgotten. Thanks for offering them though. I'll let Sooyoung know you came by." Hyungwon softly shut the door as he lifted Seungjun up just looking at him wipe his face. "You want to wear your one-sie to the store? We need to buy some more pedalite and groceries." Hyungwon asked 

"Okay. I ate all my oalmeal." Seungjun said the hugged Hyungwon's neck as they walked back to the living room. 

"I see that." Hyungwon patted his cheek just rubbbing his cheek clean of dried tears. Hyungwon put on his jacket as he handed Seungjun a face mask. "You don't to get your friends sick." He explained as he helped Seungjun put on his own backpack as he held his hand as they walked to put their shoes on. He helped him tie on his sneakers as he picked him up. He made sure he had his phone, wallet, and keys as he used the spare key that Sooyoung gave him to this morning when he got there. He walked to his car just carrying Seungjun. He set Seungjun his car seat after taking his backpack off him as Sooyoung had put it in his car this morning before she left. Hyungwon drove to the store just parking as he got Seungjun out just letting him put his back pack on as he locked his car up. He picked Seungjun back up just walking into the store. He grabbed a cart as he set Seungjun down in the front. "Did you like the grape or apple flavor better?" Hyungwon asked Seungjun 

"Grape." Seungjun looked at the bottles as he watched Hyungwon place in the cart. Seungjun sipped on his water bottle of the same liquid that Hyungwon had placed in the cart as Hyungwon had grabbed it before they left. "Can we make mommies favorite food and take it to her for lunch? she likes the things wrapped in seaweed. I can't have them because they aren't cooked" Seungjung kicked his legs. 

Hyungwon nodded. "Sushi? I mean we can kimbap and things like them so that we can eat them too?" Hyungwon asked as he picked up a few things just putting in the basket to prepare Sooyoung's medicine cabinet and supplies as he had memorized everything that she didn't have - you know just in case so she doesn't have a panic attack when something happeens. 

"Okay, that sounds fun." Seungjun smiled as he sipped on his drink. "I like strawberry jam over the grape. It taste better since I can't have peanut butter." Seungjun said  Seungjun like strawberry was something he didn't have in comparasion with her mom as Sooyoung hated strawberries. Seungjun just sat there watching Hyungwon pick up things for them to make the kimbap as he looked at Hyungwon funny as they entered the cookie alise.

"Since you were good during our trip, you can pick one cookie." Hyungwon said 

"Frosted animal crackers!" Seungjun smiled as he handed a bag as they started to the cashier. "I can take these to school and shared them tomorrow at snack time." Seungjun smiled to Hyungwon. "Thank you." He added as he placed on them on belt. 

"Your little boy is so cute." The old lady at the register said 

"Thank you!" Seungjun said putting the grocery bags in the cart. 

Hyungwon was too shy to correct her and Seungjun had basically said he was with his thank you, he probably didn't understand. Hyungwon just nodded to the lady as he wheeled the cart out to the car as he placed Seungjun in his car seat and handed him his bag of frsoted animal crackers. "Wait till we get home." He said as Seungjun nodded Hyungwon put the rest of the grocery bags in car as he returned the cart then got back in the car as he started to drive back to Sooyoung's apartment. He hoped Seungjun didn't bring up what the lady said to Sooyoung. He wouldn't know to how to explain that.
