Chapter 35- A Letter From Chanyeol

              Mina walked through the gates and entered a familiar looking place. She was looking around to see if the person she was searching for was there, or if anybody was there at all. 

"Can I help you?" an old man asked as he approached her. 

"Hello," Mina said with a smile as she bowed to him. 

"Oh? You're.... Mina! You're Mina right?" the old man asked. 

"Yes I am. How have you been doing Mr.Park?" Mina asked. 

"I've been doing good! You got so much prettier," 

"Thank you," Mina said with a shy smile. 

"So what can I do for you? I didn't expect to see you here!"

"I was wondering if Chanyeol was here. I've been trying to get in contact with him, but haven't been able to,"

"Chanyeol? Didn't he tell you?"

"Tell me...?" 

"He went to America for a vacation. That rude boy didn't even bother to take his own parents," 

"America?" Mina asked in shock. This was her first time hearing this. "Do you know when he's coming back?"

"I'm not sure. He never told us an exact date. But anyways, I'm guessing that he was expecting you. He said he left something for you before he left," 

Mina was taken aback by what Chanyeol's dad said. Chanyeol was expecting her? He left something behind for her? 

Mina slowly entered the garage that Chanyeol spent most of his time in to fix cars. She still couldn't believe that he went to America without telling her. First he left her at the theater and it just so happened that Baekhyun was also there. Then he left to America without a word of notice? What was going on with Chanyeol and the way he was acting towards her? 

Regardless, Mina decided to deal with Chanyeol later when he came back. She was ready to give him a good beating for making things so complicated, but more than that, for leaving her alone. She spent most of the past few weeks with him, but now she was alone and had nobody else. 

Mina continued to slowly walk around while looking for something that Chanyeol could have left for her. But it was so hard. All she saw was cars and mechanic tools that was all too unfamiliar to her. Adding on to that, she couldn't think of what Chanyeol would have left for her. They weren't the type to give each other things that had meanings of any sort. 

However, as Mina continued to look around, she saw something out of place that was laying on the counter next to all the mechanic tools. This shouldn't be here. She walked over to get a better look of what it was, and saw that it was a letter. Was this what he left for her? She then opened the letter, and saw that the paper was filled with his handwriting.

Kwon Mina,

    If you're reading this, then that means you came to look for me. But jokes on you! I'm most likely enjoying myself

at the beach in America while you're reading this letter. Maybe in the future I can take you and Baekhyun with me to 

enjoy this together!

If you just smiled, then that means my plan worked of getting you both to make up. Better treat me to something nice 

when I come back! However, if you didn't smile, then that means my plan failed and you're still not in good terms with Baekhyun. 

But at least you got to listen to what he said, and now it's time for you to listen to what I have to say. 

Mina, it's true that the past is the past and we cannot go back to fix it, but everybody makes mistakes and everything

happens for a reason. Baekhyun was meant to be foolish and selfish while you were made to be naive and kind. 

Because of Baek's foolishness, he wasn't able to be there for you when you needed him. But because of your

kindness, you chose to hold on to him. That's why everything is the way it is.

I know how much you liked Baekhyun and how much he meant to you. He was your first love. You were

his first love. But everything happens for a reason. Everything happened for a reason. 

Would you and Baekhyun still be together right now if the past was different? Highly unlikely. Although you

both meant the world to each other at the time, there was already a distant between the two of you and only a

matter of time before you both went separate ways. That's why you were afraid whenever he didn't call you,

whenever he had to leave, whenever he wasn't picking up your calls. You were afraid to let go although there

wasn't much to hold on to anymore. 

So what am I trying to say? Don't be afraid of the past repeating. Don't hold on to your anger. Don't think that

there's nothing left between the two of you, and don't believe that you both cannot be together again. Everything

happened for a reason. All the misunderstandings and tearful night was meant to bring you joy today.

Therefore, follow your heart and true feelings, and don't push him away anymore. You both were brought apart

only to fall in love again.

    Hwaiting Kwon Mina~ If you are ever afraid along the way, then don't worry! Leave it to me because afterall,

I was always there to save your relationship, and I will always continue to be.

  A smile came upon Mina's face, and tears began to fill her eyes as she read Chanyeol's letter. She never said it enough, but she was truly thankful for him and all that he's done for not only her, but for her and Baekhyun. He was always there when he didn't have to be, but he chose to. He was kind hearted and always put Mina first before himself. He was always so bright and happy that it made you think if there was a day where he was ever sad. 

Seeing that there was nothing else left, Mina folded the letter and put it in her bag before leaving the garage. Her heart was now at ease because of Chanyeol's words and encouragement. Now it was just a matter if she will listen to his words.
