Pretending Not To LoveNo One’s POV:
After that lockdown in the college library, Sooyoon never bothered Joo Eun about her relationship with her brother. He doesn’t know why she thinks she’s adopted but he didn’t bother digging deeper.
Days passed by, and these two were closer than ever. She was very well aware of the fangirl issues he was having in the campus and many a times, she has helped him escape from them.
One late evening, when Joo Eun opened her door after hearing the calling bell ring, she was shocked to see Sooyoon there. “Sooyoon?” she called out as he looked up and smiled at her widely.
“Joo Eun-ah,” he slurred as he stumbled in.
Joo Eun knew that Sooyoon was out, drinking. “What are you doing here?” she wondered.
“I got a little drunk and so I left early. I came straight home.” He smiled, showing his dimples. “But why are you here?” he looked at her curiously.
“Yah! This is my house. So of course I would be here. Now, before my brother gets back home, come with me,” she caught hold of his staggering form and guided him to her room.
She dropped him on her bed and groaned while Sooyoon made himself at home. “Stay here! I will be back. And don’t make any noise.” She pleaded before she closed the door and left the room.
It was time for her brother to get back home. So she was kind of wary of her surroundings as she made her way to her brother’s room and she sighed in relief when the room was still empty. She went through his cupboard, grabbed one of his shirts and made her way back to her room as quick as she could.
She locked the door behind her and walked up to her bed. Sooyoon was already lying on the bed comfortably. “Yah! Get up and change into this.” She tried pulling him up which she failed at miserably.
“Aish! Kim Sooyoon! Get UP!” she tried for one last time with all her strength to pull him up.
But he pulled her down instead, making her land on top of him. Her eyes widened while he wrapped his arms around her and embraced her. “Joo Eun-ah! Joo Eun-ah!” he sang. “I love you,” he pecked her cheeks and grinned. "What am I going to do without you?"
She was stunned for a moment but glancing at him, looking all cute and innocent, she quickly composed herself. “Yah!” she flicked his forehead and sat up. “Now get your up and change into this.”
He whined like a cute kid and sat up while she helped him change into it. She got him to lie down on her bed and tucked him into her comforter.
“Aren’t you going to lie down here as well?” he patted the spot beside him, giving her the puppy looks.
“Nope, I’m going to sleep on that couch.” She pointed to the other side of her room.
“But, but,”
She chuckled at his cute antics. “Yah! What happened to the cool Sooyoon?” she playfully pinched his cheeks.
But soon she heard the main door being opened which meant that her brother was back home. She quickly dived into the bed and covered Sooyoon’s mouth.
“Shhh! Oppa’s home. Don’t make any noise if you don’t want to be kicked out.” She whispered into his ears while he quickly grabbed the chance and wrapped his arms around her, before snuggling closer and making himself comfortable.
She let out a sigh in defeat and decided to just let him have his way until he falls asleep and later move over to the couch. But in the end, she fell asleep way before he did.
When she opened her eyes in the morning, she was still in Sooyoon’s arms while he was still deep in sleep. Her eyes widened and she was about to back away but stopped herself from doing so when she noticed how peacefully he slept.
It was the weekend which meant they wouldn’t be having any classes. So she decided to let him have his sleep peacefully for some more time before she gently wiggled herself out of his hold without disturbing his sleep and went to freshen up.
After she was done with it, she brought some medicine for his hangover along with a water pitcher and placed it on the bedside table. She then walked out to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast for the three of them.
A few minutes later, she noticed a figure move around in the house. She peeped out of the kitchen and saw her brother roaming around. She had written a note for Sooyoon to not come out but she was still holding her heart in her hand, the entire time she was cooking.
She did her best to finish her work as soon as possible, then went back to her room to see Sooyoon sitting on the bed, looking confused. “Hey, how are you feeling now?”
“Just having a slight headache. Otherwise, I’m alright.” He slightly smiled while rubbing his forehead. “Anyway, why am I here?” he asked, looking around.
“Don’t you remember?” he shook his head while she chuckled. “You came here last night instead of going to your house.” She explained him. “Anyway, just stay here. I will get your breakfast. My brother is at home. So don’t come out. I warn you.” She glared at him while he just let out a chuckle and agreed.
She grabbed a plate for him and a plate for herself before she rushed back to her room. She locked her room and waited for Sooyoon to come out of the bathroom after freshening up. She even managed to grab a new pair of shirt from her brother’s wardrobe.
She knocked on the bathroom door, “I have got dress for you to change into after you shower. Here, take them.” She called out.
He opened the door slightly and took the shirt inside. He came out a few minutes later, with his hair dripping wet. Unconsciously, her eyes followed the water droplet that drippe
