Boyfriend
Pretending Not To LoveA/N: Sorry for annoying you all with this note right at the beginning. I just wanted to apologize for this chapter. It wasn't my original plan but somehow ended up with this but I hope y'all would still enjoy it.
No One’s POV:
Joo Eun was in a shock when she heard from Moon that their Principal was looking out for her after receiving some photos. She need not think twice on what those photos might be.
Even though their college doesn’t prohibit its students from dating, she was still worried if the set of photos he received were the same as the ones she has received earlier since things wouldn’t end well if that was the case.
As she made her way to the principal’s office, she happened a group of girls mention her. So she hid herself nearby and decided to eavesdrop. “Yah! Why would you send the photos to the princi?” a girl asked another.
“Then how dare she start dating EXSY? Shouldn’t she know better not to date a professor?”
Joo Eun was taken aback at the newly acquired information. ‘Professor?’ she wondered and certain situations from the past slowly started making sense to her.
But her train of thoughts were disturbed when the other girl raised her voice, “I know. I’m upset too. But did you even think about him? He is still on contract. What will happen to him? Don’t you think this will affect him too?”
Joo Eun couldn’t stay and listen the rest of the conversation though as her phone started ringing. So she quickly moved away from there before answering the call from Moon. She informed him that she would be there in a moment and made her way, processing the new piece of information that she had just heard from those girls.
“Are you alright?” Moon asked, looking at her pale form while she just nodded. He stared at her for a moment, before knocking on the principal’s door and letting him know of her presence but they were asked to wait for a moment as he was on a call.
A few minutes later, the secretary informed them that he’s ready to see them. Moon tapped on Joo Eun’s shoulder who was still lost in her own thoughts. “He called for us,” she nodded and followed him as he opened the door and let her in.
The moment she stepped in, she sensed that things aren’t going to be alright. There was thick tension in the air and the Principal was clearly seen letting out steams.
“Why are you here, Mr. Kim? I thought I asked you to inform Ms. Lee’s guardian?”
“Sir, James is away on a conference trip. And her parents’ are still in The States. So I have James’ authorization to act as her guardian in his absence, unless Joo Eun has any objection.”
Joo Eun looked at Moon, wide-eyed. She couldn’t believe what she has just heard. ‘Moon knows that I’m James’ sister?’ she wondered while Principal asked her, “Are you okay with this, Ms. Lee?”
She took a glance at Moon once and then at the Principal. On one hand, she felt that there’s nothing odd in having Moon there especially when he knows that she is James’ sister and on the other hand, she just wanted to get this done with when James isn’t around as she was unsure of how James would react regarding this situation.
So she just nodded her head and the Principal asked the two to take a seat. “So, why is that I always see you here more often? What’s going on this time?” he asked as he threw the stack of photos onto the coffee table in front of them. “I hope this isn’t a case of assault.”
Joo Eun was taken aback by the sudden turn of events and she noticed Moon look at her nervously. “What? No, of course not.” She quickly denied to avoid Sooyoon getting falsely accused.
“If that’s the case, then are you both dating?” she looked up at the Principal while she remembered what she heard from the girls earlier. ‘He would lose his job.’ Kept replaying in her head. So she slowly shook her head, “if that’s not the case too, then care to explain what kind of situation is this?”
She stared at the photos and let out an internal sigh in relief as these photos were from the old stock that she received and not the same set as the ones she had received a little earlier. “It’s my fault. We were drunk and I kissed him.”
“What?” the principal fumed while Moon stared at her in shock. He understood that she was trying to cover up for Sooyoon but he was worried about the consequences since he was aware of how crazy their principal was.
Just as expected, he gave her a 10 days suspension as a result and sent her out with a warning, “if I ever see you in my office again for a disciplinary action, you are going to be expelled from the college.”
“Moon, please make sure James hears about everything that happened here today.” He told Moon, who nodded his head and followed Joo Eun out.
“Are you alright?” he asked Joo Eun, who still looked lost in thoughts.
She broke away from her thoughts and looked up at him. “You knew this all along? That I am James’ sister?”
Moon gave her a small smile and nodded his head. “Are you alright?” he asked her once again while she softly nodded her head. “Why did you defend him back there?”
“I know what would happen to both me and him if I accepted we are dating. It’s better this way. Only one of us are getting disciplined.”
“Do you think Sooyoon would have let you do this? Would he be happy with your decision when he comes back?”
