No One’s POV:

After the small birthday celebration with the cake Joo Eun has bought for Sooyoon in the last-minute, followed by the dinner, the two were hanging out on his couch while watching TV; Joo Eun lying down in a pretty, uncomfortable position with her legs resting on his lap, who was seated very comfortably.

Even though he was seated on the couch comfortably, he was nowhere close to being actually comfortable. The wheels in his head were spinning nonstop, thinking of the things that happened the previous night, especially the words that escaped Joo Eun’s mouth when she thought he was asleep.

For various sets of reasons, his mind was speaking against the thought of asking her out; some of them being legit reasons why he shouldn’t but his heart and other senses weren’t listening to him.

Her fresh, out of the shower scent, with a mild mix of her skin-care products was slowly driving him crazy. The feel of her soft skin under his hands which were holding her legs and even the simple sight of her in his shirt wasn’t helping him in any way either.

“Joo Eun?” he called out to her, taking in a deep breath, only to realize his mistake a moment later as it only made it worse for him, wafting her fragrance deep into his senses.

“Hmm?” she just hummed, not moving an inch from the uncomfortable position she was lying on the couch with her head resting on the hand rest.

“Lee Joo Eun?” he called out once again, grabbing her attention finally. She turned her head in his direction and they just stared at each other for a moment, “I like you,” he said while her eyes widened, “I like you, Lee Joo Eun.” He said once again and started leaning in slowly.

“Sooyoon?” she softly whispered, confused by his action.

“Feel free to push me away if you don’t like me. But if you don’t, then consider us as officially dating from now on.” He said as he closed in the gap and locked his lips with her.

Though he sounded very confident with what he said earlier, he was still a little nervous as he was unsure of her feelings for him even if he remembered her words from the previous night.

But none of his worries came true as she wrapped her arms around his neck and slowly started responding to his kiss. His insides bubbled with happiness and a soft smile broke out on his lips as he gently devoured her lips, taking his own sweet time.

It took him, every fiber in his being to resist the urge of giving into the temptation aroused by his raging hormones and pull away from her, before he ended up giving in. He broke away from the kiss and propped himself on his elbows as he stared down into her warm eyes while their chests heaved up and down as they panted.

His lips broke out into an endearing smile upon seeing her cheeks slowly gain color while she broke the eye contact and stared elsewhere. His smile turned into a devilish grin as he his lips seductively and grinned even wider as he saw her eyelids flicker rapidly and gulp down nervously.

He wanted to some more, so he slowly leaned in closer once again and nearly locked lips with hers but they both were abruptly interrupted by the ringing of both of their phones simultaneously.

For a moment he was going to ignore them and just continue on with what he was going to do but he let out a chuckle and sat upright as she started having an attack of hiccups. His phone has stopped ringing, however, hers didn’t.

She quickly sat up and answered the call, still going through the multitude attacks of hiccups while Sooyoon got up and went somewhere. “Hello? *hic* yeah, Jiwoong *hic* I’m, um, *hic*” she couldn’t complete her sentence properly without getting interrupted by the hiccup.

So she paused for a moment and tried holding in her breath but it didn’t work. Sooyoon returned with a glass of water and handed it over to her. “One second,” she called over the phone before placing her phone on her lap, then took the glass with the hand that wasn’t in the splint and took a gulp.

However, none of those techniques worked, “Yeah, tell me,” *hic* “Jiwoong?” *hic*

She let out a gasp a second later when her hiccups finally stopped in shock of what Sooyoon did a minute ago. He had leaned in closer and pecked her lips. She just blinked at him blankly, with her phone still on her ear while the room got filled with Sooyoon’s melodious laugh.

“Cute,” he whispered, pinching the tip of her nose before pecking her once again while one could hear Jiwoong calling out to her over the phone, “Joo Eun? Are you there? Joo Eun?”
