Locked In
Pretending Not To LoveNo One’s POV:
It’s been a month or two since Sooyoon made his first visit to Joo Eun’s house. And every time he visited there, he never reminded her about the pair of drumstick he was supposed to take from her.
Initially, he used it as a reason to visit her but later they just met casually since they both started to become good friends. They both not only met at her place but he had taken her to his place quite a lot of times too.
Other than going over to each other's places, they mostly met in the college library. She has kind of figured out that he’s famous around the college girls and so she never bothered him to meet elsewhere.
Library was his safest haven as he somehow managed to get rid of the crowd of fangirls whenever he went there, compared to the rest all places.
“Sooyoon-ah,” she called out to him in a whisper as she waved her hand, to let him know where she was.
He smiled at her as he walked in her direction and flopped down beside her. “Hey,” he beamed while he was trying to control his heavy breathing.
“Fangirl trouble?” she asked while he nodded. “That’s why you shouldn’t be that famous dude.” She poked his cheek and stuck out her tongue at him while he just chuckled.
“I will try next time not to be this famous,” he chuckled.
“So how was your class?”
“It was not bad. How about yours?” he asked as he took some books out of his bag.
“It was quite boring.” She whined then she noticed the books he had just taken out. “When did you start reading these kind of books?” she asked trying to suppress her laughter since they both were in the library.
Sooyoon’s face reddened in embarrassment, “Yah! I got these for you. Weren’t you looking for them last week?” he asked, throwing the books onto her lap.
“Really? These are for me?” she looked through the books, smiling widely while he nodded his head. “Thank you so much, Sooyoon-ah.” She wrapped her arms around him and embraced him tightly.
Suddenly, Joo Eun’s phone started to vibrate indicating her of the incoming call. At first, she ignored the call but when the caller was persistent in calling her again and again, she then turned her phone off before shoving them back in her pocket.
Sooyoon was playing on his console with his back resting against the wall while she comfortably rested her back against his side and started reading one of the books he brought for her.
Sometime later, she bookmarked the page she was reading and took a break. She stood up and stretched her back, then lazily looked out the window when she noticed someone below. “Moon!” she exclaimed softly and as if he heard her, he raised his head up in her direction.
She wanted to quickly hide but she was not quick enough as he clearly noticed her looking down at him and smiled at her before turning around towards the giant standing beside him.
Moon was whispering something to James and the latter’s head whisked in the direction but Joo Eun was quick enough this time as she dropped down to the ground and hid herself properly.
“What are you doing?” Sooyoon asked, chuckling a little by looking at her crazy antics.
“Just hiding?” she said, as her cheeks gained color.
“Hiding?” He shook his head. “Is it Moon?” he asked her, knowing about her well enough. “Is your crush still going steady?” he asked teasingly.
“What? No, no. I’m long over it.” she shook her head as she adjusted herself comfortably. Though she said she was over it long ago, her face said it otherwise.
“Yeah, yeah, you are. I can believe it.” He said sarcastically before plugging in his earphones.
She turned in his direction and noticed him smiling with his eyes closed. She knows that he was smiling at her, so she put out her hand and poked him on his dimples while he just broke out into chuckles.
Joo Eun continued reading her books while Sooyoon was listening to songs with his legs stretched out. Sometime later, Sooyoon’s head fell on her shoulder and when she looked, she saw that he had fallen asleep.
She smiled a little before she continued to read the book but he was not sleeping peacefully as her shoulders weren’t at a comfortable height. She let out a sigh as she noticed him twitch and turn a little to find a comfortable position.
She slowly moved his head a little and let it lie on her lap before she started to read the book again while Sooyoon just shifted his head a little on her lap and stretched his leg a little which slightly hit the book shelf but he continued to sleep soundly.
“Aish! Why is this kid so tall?” she poked his head softly while a smile tugged at her lips at how peaceful he looked while sleeping. “Don’t you get enough sleep in the night?” she whispered while playing with his bangs.
She did her best not to move much and continued reading the book while her hand kept patting Sooyoon’s chest as if she was putting a small kid to sleep. Time flew by and she didn’t realize that it has gotten too late since she was too involved in the book.
Sooyoon opened his eyes a few hours later and let out a shriek when he saw the time on Joo Eun’s watch. If he has to get up, then he has to push through her books which she was reading so seriously. So he gently poked her bell
