Pretending Not To LoveJoo Eun’s POV:
When I woke up the next morning, I noticed that my brother was still at home. He was sleeping in and I wondered why. I glanced at the wall clock once before heading into the kitchen and started preparing breakfast.
Once I was done, I placed them on the table along with the plates, knives and forks but there was still no sight of him. I tiptoed into his room and double-checked his alarm before walking away and preparing lunch.
I quickly packed the lunch boxes and placed them on the table with a note on it before going to get ready for the College. When I came back to the breakfast table after getting ready, I noticed that he had finished his breakfast portion and had taken the lunch box with him.
I felt my spirit being lifted up and I did the rest of the work jumping around merrily. I got to the College right on time and sat down on one of the front seats, smiling all along. I sure was an extra bit happy that day.
A few minutes later, Mr. Kim walked in. “Good morning beautiful ladies and handsome boys, hope you had a wonderful day yesterday. Now everyone get back to your seats and answer your roll call.” He ushered everyone to occupy our respective seats before he called out our names.
After he was done with it, he turned towards the entrance and looked for the professor in charge of the next class but he was nowhere in sight. So he slowly walked out of the class and looked in both direction before walking back in.
“Looks like your professor is a little late.” He announced to the class before he looked at me. “Oh hey, did you get to meet your friend yesterday without getting lost?” he asked.
My face heated up and I smiled shyly before nodding my head. “It’s good then. One can easily get lost in this campus, you know?” I just looked at him without replying anything. “Because I did in my initial days here,” he let out a chuckle. “Oh, what was your name again? Sorry, I’m really bad at remembering names.”
“It’s okay, Mr. Kim. It’s Lee Joo Eun.” I smiled at him.
“Just call me Moon.” He beamed at me, making me blush while the other girls glared in my direction.
Luckily I got saved by the entry of the professor and so Mr. Kim, I mean Moon left the classroom before waving at us, a little more in my direction.
I fanned myself a little after he exited before concentrating back on the class. The rest of the class went by in an orderly manner and before we knew it, it was the last class.
We were all a bit tired by then, even though it was just the afternoon and I was starting to feel a bit hungry as well. I eagerly waited for the class to get over and as soon as it was over, I quickly packed my bags and walked out of the classroom.
I remembered about the meeting with Mijin. So I took out my phone and dialed her number. A few ring later, she picked up the phone, “Hello Joo Eun-ah, I’m almost near the College. Will be there in a few minutes.”
“No problem unnie, take your time. But I’m feeling a little hungry. So could I wait for you in the cafeteria while having my lunch?”
“Sure. I’m hungry too. Could you get me a plate as well?”
I agreed to buy her a plate as well before hanging up the phone and heading towards the cafeteria. It was a bit crowded but mostly people were finishing up.
I stood in the line and waited for my turn as I glanced around. I opened my bag to take out the money when I noticed that I had forgotten to bring my lunch box.
Left with no choice, I decided to buy a plate for me as well. My turn came in no time and I bought two plates of food for Mijin and me. After paying for it, I grabbed the plates and looked for an empty spot.
Upon finding one, I started moving towards it, doing my best not to knock down someone or get knocked down by them. But it was not an easy task, let me tell you.
Just when I thought I almost made to the table safely, when someone brushed past me, knocking down my balance of the plates. But it didn’t fall down, since some guy caught hold of it.
“Here, let me help you.” He took one of the trays away from my hand.
“No, it’s okay.” I told him but he motioned me to keep walking, with a smile intact. I stared at the deep dimples that formed on his cheeks before I realized he was waiting for me to walk to my table since we both were blocking the path.
I quickly apologized to everyone before walking towards the empty table while the guy followed behind with the tray. I placed my tray on top of the table before turning around and taking the tray from the guy.
“Thank you,” I smiled at him, “And sorry for the trouble. I should have been more careful.”
“It’s okay. Not an issue. Have a nice meal.” He smiled and walked away.
I sat down on one of the empty chairs and waited for Mijin. She walked in a few minutes later and glanced around, searching for my table. I raised my hand up a little and waved at her.
She quickly spotted me and marched in my direction before flopping herself down on a nearby chair. “I just saw EXSY righ
