Let's Date
Pretending Not To LoveNo One’s POV:
When Jiwoong kissed Joo Eun in front of their classmates, even though it took her by surprise, she initially thought he only did it to help her get away from them. She then decided to talk over this matter in a quieter place.
When they got there, they both simply sat in silence for a while. “About earlier,” Jiwoong gathered his courage and finally started.
“I know you did it just to help me. I won’t take it seriously.” She cut him off.
“What if I wasn’t just trying to help you?” he asked while her head quickly snapped in his direction. “Joo Eun-ah! I like you.” Her eyes widened upon hearing it.
“Jiwoong-ah, I-”
“Shhh,” he interrupted her, “I know that your heart doesn’t belong to me but just like how no one can change your heart, nothing can change mine as well. Just let me keep liking you.” He grabbed her face and quickly kissed her forehead while she stared at him.
“Okay, I promise I wouldn’t trouble you like that again, except for helping you in front of our idiotic college mates. Deal?”
“Jiwoong-ah, thanks for helping me out today. But I really can’t trouble you like this, especially when I don’t return your feelings.”
“Should I kiss you again to convince you?” her eyes widened while he flicked her forehead and let out a chuckle. “Let me handle my feelings on my own, just like how you are hell-bent on not letting go of your feeling for that a*****e.”
“Jiwoong! Mind your language!” Joo Eun glared at him.
“Sorry, not sorry. He was just standing there, seeing those idiots harass you, when he could have actually stood up for you.”
“You know why he didn’t do it. Stop being spiteful.” She jabbed him lightly in the stomach, while he let out a sheepish grin.
“Do you have to always stand up for him and defend him even after you both broke up?”
“I just can’t help it, especially when he didn’t really do anything wrong.”
“Yeah, in your eyes!” he rolled his eyes.
They both continued to sit there and talk for some more time before they headed home. At home, James wanted to question her regarding the earlier incident. However, he couldn’t catch her alone as their mother was always around.
It was followed by the weekend which meant he could hardly see her around as she wouldn’t at home most of the time. When Joo Eun went to college on Monday, Jiwoong was already waiting for her at the bus stop and acted as if he’s really her boyfriend.
When it was time for the class, everyone sat down at their respective seats and waited for Moon to walk in, but he was unusually late. A moment later he walked in, “Hey guys, enjoyed your weekend? Anyway, since we’re running late, let’s get to business right away and I will take the attendance later. And before we start, today we have someone, who will be giving you all a demo class.” He then motioned for someone to enter.
A second later, Hye Jin walked in and gave the students a slight bow. “I will let Miss Min introduce herself.” Moon said and walked over towards the first bench. He nudged Joo Eun to move over and make space for him while she stared at him for a moment before sliding in and he sat down beside her.
As Hye Jin introduced herself, the door to the classroom opened once again and a few staff members walked in, including James and Sooyoon, who took seats here and there. Joo Eun kept staring at Sooyoon for a few moments before she noticed James sitting beside Jiwoong at the back row, which actually started to make her slightly anxious.
Moon nudged her once again and when she looked at him, he whispered, “Look to the front if you want to stay out of trouble. Your H.O.D is taking notes.”
She slowly glanced around and he was right. The H.O.D was indeed looking around the class and was noting down something. She quickly fixed her eyes to the front, then scribbled a huge ‘Thanks’ on her notebook and slid it towards Moon.
He first rolled his eyes but he let out a soft smile too. Then he grabbed the notebook from her and started writing something, before pushing it back towards Joo Eun. She looked at it and it read,
‘Is everything alright between you and Jiwoong?’
She knew this topic would be brought up sooner or later. However, she didn’t expect Moon to do that though. Yet she replied him with a, ‘Yes it is.’ And thus, a conversation between the two happened through the notes.
‘Then about yesterday event, what was that about?’
‘What do you mean?’ she replied.
‘Is Jiwoong trying to force you into a relationship? Or are you both really dating now?’
‘No and no. Jiwoong is not like that. I know he went a bit overboard yesterday but he was just trying to help me. I had a word with me after that.’
‘You know you could come to me any time if he’s troubling you with anything, right?’
‘Yes Moon, I know. Thank you. But seriously though, he’s not a bad guy. So you guys can chill a bit. Btw is James angry about it? Should I worry about him sitting beside Jiwoong?’
‘Yes, he is I suppose. But don’t you worry. James is professional. He wouldn’t mix up his personal matters with his work. So Jiwoong would be safe, rest assured.’
Hye Jin finished giving the demo class, so every staff member in the classroom stood up, including Moon. “Thank you for the demo class, Miss Min.” he said and the students clapped for her.
